The property

Elm Cottage is a delightful retreat nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the charming market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

With convenient roadside parking, a welcoming woodburning stove, and space for two well-behaved dogs, it’s an ideal choice for families or friends looking to enjoy a classic countryside break.

As you step inside, you're greeted by the sitting room—a characterful space where exposed wooden beams and a brick-edged inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Thoughtfully furnished with soft textiles, a fluffy rug, and artwork on the walls, the room also features a TV and a selection of books, offering a perfect setting for relaxed evenings after a day out.

Beyond the sitting room lies the kitchen/diner, where traditional charm meets stylish design.

Yellow and white wall tiles, retro black and white floor tiles, and sophisticated green kitchen fittings come together to create a vibrant yet elegant space.

Whether you're preparing a leisurely breakfast or a hearty supper, the dining area encourages time spent together over good food and conversation.

The accommodation is arranged over three floors, offering three beautifully presented bedrooms.

On the first floor, there’s a king-size room with exposed beams and a single room, both dressed with matching soft furnishings.

The second floor reveals a mezzanine double bedroom, also featuring beams and coordinated décor, providing a peaceful retreat tucked beneath the eaves.

The bathroom is both stylish and practical, fitted with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC.

A circular light-up mirror adds a modern touch, ideal for freshening up after a day exploring the countryside.

Outside, the enclosed garden is furnished for outdoor dining or simply enjoying a quiet morning with a cup of tea.

Whether you're planning a family holiday or a break with friends, Elm Cottage offers a welcoming and well-equipped base for discovering the beauty of the Cotswolds.

When you're ready to explore, the surrounding area has much to offer.

Step back in time at The Model Village in Bourton-on-the-Water—a one-ninth scale replica of the village itself—or enjoy a visit to Birdland Park & Gardens, home to over 500 birds including flamingos, penguins, and parrots, set among riverside woodlands.

Car enthusiasts will enjoy the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection, which houses seven galleries of motoring memorabilia spanning the last 90 years.

Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both, Elm Cottage places you at the heart of it all.

The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh lies on the Fosse Way Roman Road in the northern Cotswolds and boasts many elegant 18th century buildings, which are home to traditional inns, serving real ales and home-cooked food, tea rooms, restaurants and individual shops to suit all tastes. It also boasts it's own train station and lies on the intersection of the Paddington rail line from London. The town hosts the Moreton-In-Marsh Show, one of the UK's largest one-day agricultural shows, as well as the Moreton Beer Festival, an annual French Market, and a large outdoor market every Tuesday.
