Elm Cottage
Description
Elm Cottage is a charming retreat situated in the heart of the Cotswolds AONB in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.
With convenient roadside parking, toasty woodburning stove and a warm welcome for two well-behaved pets, this delightful home is perfect for families or friends seeking a quintessential countryside escape.
Upon entering Elm Cottage, you step into the inviting sitting room, a space full of character and charm.
Exposed wooden beams stretch across the ceiling, while the brick-trimmed inglenook fireplace with its woodburning stove forms a warm and welcoming focal point.
The room is thoughtfully furnished with soft textiles, a fluffy rug, and pictures on the walls that add a homely touch.
A selection of books on the shelves and a TV provide entertainment and relaxation after a day exploring the countryside.
From here, you move through to the kitchen/diner, where traditional style meets modern flair.
The kitchen features a delightful blend of yellow and white tiles, and retro black and white floor tiles, complemented by sophisticated green kitchen fittings that bring a refined yet playful character to the space.
Whether you're preparing a leisurely breakfast or a hearty evening meal, the dining area invites you to gather and enjoy time together.
The cottage offers three beautifully presented bedrooms arranged over three floors.
On the first floor, a king-size bedroom with charming beams and a single bedroom, both dressed with matching soft furnishings, provide restful spaces for a good night’s sleep.
The second floor reveals a mezzanine double bedroom, also featuring exposed beams and coordinated décor, offering a peaceful hideaway under the eaves.
The bathroom is a stylish and functional space, complete with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC.
A circular light-up mirror adds a touch of modern elegance, perfect for refreshing after a countryside ramble.
Step outside to discover an enclosed garden, thoughtfully furnished for alfresco dining or simply enjoying a quiet morning tea.
Whether you're planning a family holiday or a getaway with friends, Elm Cottage offers a welcoming and well-appointed base from which to explore the beauty of the Cotswolds.

What guests are saying
Nice cottage good location.
Rear garden could have been weeded. Carpets through out made it feel like an office. Risk assessment needed on the landing coming from the bathroom ceiling very low no warning. Had a problem with wasps fair play they did respond quickly when notified Slightly disappointed for the cost would have expected better.
We loved the place.
The kitchen could be stocked with a few more utensils to make it more conveneient to cook (the pans are very ancient and hard to clean). There were only three rolls of toilet paper for a three room apartment for five days, so we had to ask for more. Otherwise, we loved having our own little cottage in the Cotawolds.
A lovely cottage which is more spacious than we expected from the photos.
The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was well equipped with a brand new stairgate and nice little touches such as biscuits on arrival. The location of the cottage is spot on, literally steps from the high street and a great playground but also very quiet. Thanks for having us.
