“This is a lovely cottage, well equipped, comfortable and a great base to explore the area.”
We would have loved a couple of recliner chairs for sitting out as the wooden patio furniture is great for eating at but not that comfy for sitting reading/ soaking up the sun - but that's a very minor inconvenience. The garden is huge, more of a field really and full of wildlife, had a pheasant family visit every afternoon/evening as well as rabbits. The train line which runs up the side of the property is quite noisy but you get used to it. Splendid sunsets over the marina and a short walk ...

The train line which runs up the side of the property is quite noisy but you get used to it. Splendid sunsets over the marina and a short walk along the canal to the Wharf Inn - we struggled a lot with the gate nearest the house out to the canal but the key fits the gate further up and that is much easier to use - think no more than one is well used and one isn't. Would be happy to stay here again if we were visiting the area
