    “We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, and was a great base for trips around the Cotswolds.”

    Inside the property was comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances were in good order. The lounge furniture a little tired, but still very comfy. Lounge TV is on the way out as when first turned on half the screen is scrambled for several minutes before clearing. Worth replacing with smart TV to allow visitors to watch streaming services in future. The property is listed as dog friendly but no dogs are allowed upstairs or on furniture and this is ...

The property is listed as dog friendly but no dogs are allowed upstairs or on furniture and this is not shown on the listing. A poorly fitted stair gate was at base of stairs but a strong dog would bypass this. Some dog owners may struggle with this if dogs are used to sleeping upstairs. There is one water bowl, so defo need to bring your own for their food. The hot tub was very clean and well used during our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing each evening after long walks each day. Birds were nesting nearby on the guttering so we could watch the adult birds flying back and forth. The garden is to the front of the property and is fully enclosed, which meant our dog was lovely and safe whilst we relaxed in the hot tub. The garden trees and shrubs were quite overgrown and could defo do with a solid cut back. The garden furniture - sofa and bench were dirty and also need a thorough clean, as we did not want to use them in that state. We did have to ask for the nettles to side of the hot tub to be cut back on the 2nd day to better access the hot tub lid bars, which the owners did very swiftly. Overall this is a lovely cottage and we enjoyed a relaxing time here with our dog. A solid 4 star stay.

    Thank you for your feedback. I wished you mentioned about the tv to us as well as the nettles in the garden we could have looked into this and replaced it as we didn’t know, as it’s never been mentioned before until now on your review. Re garden, if we keep it cut down and/or back we are told it’s not private enough? So unfortunately we can’t win. I can promise we’ve tried both ways. Re the garden furniture it is in the pipe line to be replaced. Dogs are very welcome here and people often ask us if they can put throws on the furniture for their four legged friends and it’s always been a yes of course! So glad you enjoyed your stay, the hot tub is a firm favourite of our guests and watching the house martins nesting at this time of year. *Just been to check TVs and all are working perfectly. A quality terraced barn conversion, located in the pretty village of Little Tew near Great Tew, and just a short drive from the ancient town of Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds.

This is a lovely cottage in a quiet location and ideal for those wanting to explore this popular area.

The cottage has an open plan living area with well-equipped kitchen and dining area, with a sitting area having a woodburning stove to snuggle up in front of, if the weather gets colder.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both of which have a TV and there is also a family shower room.

Outside, there is a private patio, where you can put your feet up and enjoy this stunning part of the country, ideal for the country loving holiday maker.

Great Tew, often described as one of England's prettiest villages is full of character cottages and has an excellent pub and a village shop.

Chipping Norton is really interesting and has numerous historic buildings.

Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are all close by.

Alternatively, take a trip to the riverside town of Banbury, Blenheim Palace or the university city of Oxford.

The birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick, with its magnificent castle, also make great family days out.

The picture postcard village of Great Tew, often described as one of the prettiest villages in England is full of attractive cottages, most of them thatched, situated in a delightful landscaped setting. The village is steeped in history, from its Roman origins, through to the Civil War and the Industrial Revolution, and now belongs to the Great Tew Estate. The village is now a lively and welcoming community with a well-known pub, The Falkland Arms, serving excellent food and real ale. There is also a village shop and small café. Great Tew Park hosts various events throughout the year including the well-known Cornbury Music Festival which is held early in July. Nearby Little Tew is an attractive village of traditional Cotswold stone cottages and others built in the local honey coloured ironstone. Five miles away is the ancient town of Chipping Norton, steeped in history and culture, and set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
