About the location
LAPWORTH
Warwick & Royal Leamington Spa 5 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 10 miles.
Lapworth village lies in the Birmingham green belt, on the junction of the Stratford-upon-Avon and Grand Union Canals, which offer many lovely walks. The Millennium Way, Heart of England Way, Centenary Way and Grand Union Canal Walk are also all close by so walking enthusiasts are certainly catered for! There are two National Trust properties close to Lapworth; Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House, with Wroxall Abbey, another fine house and the country seat of Sir Christopher Wren also close by. Lapworth village is strongly associated with the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, as the leader of the plotters, Robert Catesby, was born and lived here, and his tomb is in Lapworth Church. Now, Lapworth is a popular area for cuisine and has many 'gastro-pubs', including The Boot, The Navigation and the Fleur-de-Lys. Lapworth is just five miles from Warwick, with its imposing castle, and from the beautiful town of Royal Leamington Spa. The medieval town of Stratford-upon-Avon is also close by, and has an abundance of amenities and attractions, including the houses of William Shakespeare, museums and theatre. The perfect holiday destination at any time of year.
Please note; The owners of this property will visit very briefly during your stay to check the hot tub regulations.
