“The cottage is situated in a very attractive village with easily accessible walks and two good pubs.”

It is well equipped and the welcome pack provided was useful and much appreciated. The community run shop and cafe were excellent, well stocked with everything you could need. In reality the cottage is a bit smaller than it looks on the website photos and the outside space is barely big enough for the table and 4 chairs which are provided. The small torches which are dotted around (presumably because there are frequent power cuts) are a good idea but at least half of them needed replacement ...

The small torches which are dotted around (presumably because there are frequent power cuts) are a good idea but at least half of them needed replacement batteries. The corner light above the kitchen worktop also needed a new bulb. An oven glove, a tray and a plug for the kitchen sink would all have been useful and the kettle was well overdue for descaling - minor points but worth mentioning. Car parking has the potential to be a problem as there is no dedicated parking space and it can sometimes be a bit of a free for all, especially with the proximity of the pub. Despite these few negative comments we would recommend Kyte Cottage.
