“Perfect cottage, beautifully furnished and decorated to a very high standard.”

Absolutely spotless. Felt like a home from home. Lovely touch with a welcoming pack of truffles, biscuits, mik, orange juice and crisps. Very comfortable sofa and bed with fresh, crisp linen. Perfectly situated beside the lovely Kings Arms and the Red Lion for food and drink and within short driving distance of all the beautiful cotswolds villages and towns. Very small outside patio area for those wishing outside space. Only one minor issue with with patio door lock, was very difficult to ...

From the lovely welcome touches the super comfy beds and the high quality interior this a super cottage. The location is great too with easy access to the Cotswolds and Stratford Upon Avon with the added bonus of lovely pubs and beautiful gardens just a stones throw away.

“We loved Kyte cottage.”

A perfect country stay in a lovely village. Both had everything you could want. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable and cosy. We were 6 adults and it didn’t feel cramped. Both the pubs in the village are worth visiting. We ate at the Red Lion and were very happy. The village shop is great for treats or last minute items. Lots of walks from the doorstep. Would definitely recommend and return.

“Lovely location and beautifully furnished cottage.”

Bathrooms were a bit on the small side but it's an old cottage so that's to be expected. Kitchen was well stocked with all utensils etc and the lovely welcome pack of hand cooked crisps, biscuits, chocolates, milk and orange juice was a lovely touch. Neighbours were very friendly and we had a great time. We love the Howard Arms pub which is on the doorstep and we were able to access the main areas of the Cotswolds by car. We highly recommend The Lion pub at Tredington. It's all home cooked food and Mark the owner makes you feel so welcome.

“The cottage is situated in a very attractive village with easily accessible walks and two good pubs.”

It is well equipped and the welcome pack provided was useful and much appreciated. The community run shop and cafe were excellent, well stocked with everything you could need. In reality the cottage is a bit smaller than it looks on the website photos and the outside space is barely big enough for the table and 4 chairs which are provided. The small torches which are dotted around (presumably because there are frequent power cuts) are a good idea but at least half of them needed replacement batteries. The corner light above the kitchen worktop also needed a new bulb. An oven glove, a tray and a plug for the kitchen sink would all have been useful and the kettle was well overdue for descaling - minor points but worth mentioning. Car parking has the potential to be a problem as there is no dedicated parking space and it can sometimes be a bit of a free for all, especially with the proximity of the pub. Despite these few negative comments we would recommend Kyte Cottage.

“The cottage was an idyllic cottage.”

However it was only surface clean. Everything was dirty. Toothpaste still on window sills, thick dirt on the floors etc, on our arrival. The cottage lists for 6 people but there was not enough hot water for 6 people to shower daily. So we was having cold showers. The main oven didn’t seem to work, and there was about 15 wasps in the top bedroom in the velux window. On the day of leaving the 3 cleanerers sat outside our properly staring through the window 45 mins before we was due to leave, looking in, pressuring us to get out the property even though check out time was 10am. Ironic really, considering the cleanliness of the place! Would we return … No.

“A lovely comfortable, well-maintained cottage in a lovely village and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds.”

The welcome pack was a nice touch. We enjoyed our two weeks and were completely able to relax. The back door was tricky to open - only my husband could manage it - and the lack of oven gloves needed to be worked around but apart from that, couldn’t fault it.

“We had an issue with the dishwasher which was resolved very quickly and efficiently.”

The guidance in relation to food waste, recyclable waste and bin collectiion cpuld be more clear. We could not opoen the gate to enable the bin to be taken out. Also the bramble canopy to the bin area need to be cut back to avoid the risk of head or face injury. All other aspects of our stay were fine. Thank You Mike Dinsmore

“Beautifully presented cottage, very clean and comfortable too.”

It's the little touches that sets this cottage apart from similar properties, like the milk and the orange juice provided in the fridge, and the generous packet of Border biscuits to go with the tea and coffee. The crockery and other kitchen utensils were spotless and of good quality too. All in all a highly recommended cottage in a clean and friendly village.

“In a beautiful little village, with footpaths that intertwine all around it, we found the most gorgeous, homely cottage we’ve ever stayed in.”

All kitted out with absolutely everything you might need, we didn’t want for anything. For a family of 5 that’s hard to achieve! Kyte Cottage has spared no expense to make the stay feel luxurious and relaxed, including an overhead shower, bath with feet (I don’t know what they’re called!), log burning fire in the master bedroom - I could go on… We had one minor problem in the 4 weeks or so we were there and someone came to sort it within half an hour! All this and 2 fab pubs and a village shop that never seems to shut! We were so sad to leave. Thank you for making our stay the best :)
