However, we did think there were some issues which made the place so physically uncomfortable we left a day early. Main issue was the double bed mattress which is in dire need of replacing. It's lumpy and sags into the bedframe leading to sleepless nights and backache. The sofa is very low and the set up of the living room makes it difficult to sit comfortably to watch TV, mainly due the current trend for putting TVs up on walls rather than just sitting it in the corner, then a corner sofa would work. Had to sit on the dining room chairs for some support. The bathroom was clean but considering the accommodation is for four people there were no towel hooks in the bathroom, nor a rubber mat for the shower. We balanced the loo roll on the edge of the sink as reaching right behind to where the holder is fixed to the wall is only for those people who are double-jointed. There was plenty of space for a free standing loo roll holder next to the loo; could even keep the one on the wall for those who face forward! These are really quick fixes. There were rules for where the dog couldn't go eg not on furniture or on beds. As soon as there is a rule about what dogs can't do then it's only dog tolerant rather than dog friendly. It's a nice enough place but we just didn't find it comfortable.
We are sorry you found willow lodge uncomfortable , our sofa is a standard corner sofa .
We have rules for dogs to allow us to keep the property clean and to allow us to maintain high standards , not all guests have dogs . We are dog lovers ourselves and are happy for them to go on furniture if guests bring blankets
