Willow Lodge

We had a lovely stay.

The peace and quiet was just what we needed. There is everything that you need and the dogs loved exploring the enclosed garden . The only improvement would be to change the mattresses in the twin bedroom.

We were a party of three, elderly parents, adult daughter and small dog.

The accommodation was clean and spacious enough for us and the garden good for the dog. However, we did think there were some issues which made the place so physically uncomfortable we left a day early. Main issue was the double bed mattress which is in dire need of replacing. It's lumpy and sags into the bedframe leading to sleepless nights and backache. The sofa is very low and the set up of the living room makes it difficult to sit comfortably to watch TV, mainly due the current trend for putting TVs up on walls rather than just sitting it in the corner, then a corner sofa would work. Had to sit on the dining room chairs for some support. The bathroom was clean but considering the accommodation is for four people there were no towel hooks in the bathroom, nor a rubber mat for the shower. We balanced the loo roll on the edge of the sink as reaching right behind to where the holder is fixed to the wall is only for those people who are double-jointed. There was plenty of space for a free standing loo roll holder next to the loo; could even keep the one on the wall for those who face forward! These are really quick fixes. There were rules for where the dog couldn't go eg not on furniture or on beds. As soon as there is a rule about what dogs can't do then it's only dog tolerant rather than dog friendly. It's a nice enough place but we just didn't find it comfortable.

The whole family including our 2 dogs loved our stay at Willow Lodge.

The garden is beautiful and completely enclosed safe for them to explore while we sat under the beautiful Willow Tree. If you are looking for peace and tranquility its definitely your thing.The lodge had everything you would need comfortable rooms, WiFi all the little extras such as complimentary coffee/tea tray and a luxurious well appointed bathroom. You are just minutes away from all the wonderful things the Cotswolds has to offer. We will definitely be booking again.

The lodge was so comfortable, everything you need for a lovely holiday was there.

It is very roomy for a couple of a family. The bathroom was ideal, with a massive walk in shower, I have mobility issues, so it was so easy for me to use. It is so peaceful, and lovely to seat and hear bird song. The willow tree is amazing. It is an ideal base for visiting places in the Cotswold. We would love to return again.

Definitely the best accommodation I have stayed in by far - so much room, incredible shower, everything you need in the kitchen - loved the outside space with the wonderful willow to escape the sun with a book and a glass of wine - peaceful, enchanting and very well thought out for both humans and fur-babies - glad we took our fans as the heatwave is brutal - but we drove to Bidford-Upon-Avon 'Meadow' where Harlow could cool off at the end of the day before bed - only 7mins away He also swam in Stratford and Leamington - so we found water each day for him in the mornings so we could chill with the fans in the afternoon Can't recommend this lodge highly enough - it was perfect for us

Willow lodge is a lovely semi-detached lodge in a rural setting with good outdoor space, so lots of peace and tranquillity but a really good base for getting out and about.

Apart from local villages we went to Worcester, Broadway and Evesham. We also visited a National Trust property at Snowhill and the Welcombe winery to taste their wares. Lots of local farm shops to keep the kitchen well stocked as well as a vast range of local pubs and eateries including The Lygon Arms at Broadway, The kings Arms in the village and the Bridge Inn and Ferry at Offenham (especially if the weather is good to dine by the river) and there are others too many to mention here !

Very good accommodation the village is very limited but the local pub was very good and the locals were very friendly.

Our visit was very limited because of car problems, we will be back.

Apart from the mix up with the booking and the very unfriendly, rude advisor that I spoke to first the holiday was fantastic.

The property was spotless, very comfortable and in a brilliant location. The pub in the village was also great (and food was 100%). I would definitely book this property again but Sykes and the first person I spoke to has slightly put me off using Sykes.

Lovely 2-bed spacious accommodation in a super peaceful location, we had a relaxing stay, this was our 2nd stay and thouroughly enjoyed it again.

This is our third time to stay, handy for us to catch up with friends.

The accommodation is excellent the owners should you need them are on site, the dog field first class, very happy dogs,and the area has a lot to offer wether it's walking or driving just short distances. Hopefully we will be back next year.Rita

A great place to stay clean comfortable and the garden was ideal for the dogs.

Only complaint it could have been better appointed with bigger pots /caserole dishes to cook. The handle on the frying pan was very loose and nothing to fix it with fortunately I had some tools or would not have been able to use it. Couldn’t find any manuals to operate dish washer etc. overall though a beautiful place to stay. The owners were very responsive when we had a small problem with the door.

Very clean and well equipped accommodation, peacefully set on the outskirts of Cleeve Prior.

Would definitely consider a revisit.

Everything was absolutely perfect at Willow Lodge, we loved staying there and would thoroughly recommend it.

The owners were such lovely people and made sure we had everything we wanted even providing us with a fan when it was so hot. Great to have a lawned garden for the dogs to go in and there are plenty of footpath walks from the cottage. The view from the bedrooms was fantastic. We are so looking forward to going back to Willow Lodge again.

Comfy 5 day stay helped by the perfect weather.

Large garden perfect for our dog. Good size accommodation. Lots to visit within a 30min drive.

Lodge was very comfortable in a gorgeous setting.

A little book of information would have been helpful, how to turn the heating on etc. email of nearest shop etc was useful but written info would have been appreciated.

Lovely lodge, great location 30 minutes drive from 3 National Trust properties and many other places.

Excellent leisure centre in Evesham, free pass for your first visit. Only gripe was we didn't have any instructions for the washing machine, or anything else and no local information but hey ho, everything else was perfect. The walk in shower was great for our mobility impaired friend. The kitchen was well equipped (no whisk!) and great to have a gas cooker. We did take our air fryer as we're used to it, having asked permission. Only cooked 2 meals, as the Kings Arms and the Blue Boar pubs do fabulous food. The front garden is grand for dogs as it's secure. Walking on the local public footpaths was tricky this time of year as very muddy, probably better in summer. Alpacas in the back field are a bonus! We were lucky enough to be able to sit out in the afternoons, in March! Camping type chairs provided. All in all, can't wait to return, our thanks to Alison and Noel.

Modern, well equipped and comfortable cottage in a lovely area. Alison the owner went above and beyond to help my wife with a health problem which we were very grateful for. You’d be hard pushed to find somewhere as good in this area. 5 ⭐️

What a lovely property, quiet and secluded, ideal for a little relaxation time.

Only one comment, on the listing it states a fridge freezer, but it is an under counter fridge with a small ice box.

Very nice place very Quite place a mile from the village so no traffic about very good area for the dog to run about.

If we go back to this area we would stop here again.

Really good property and great for kids and a small dog.

Main bed could be a bit bigger as is only a double and i think the outside furniture could be improved. These are only little things but overall excellent

Lovely clean, comfortable and peaceful lodge.

Lodge had everything you needed with all mod cons and a great walk in shower. Perfect for anyone with mobility issues. Lovely surrounding area 1 mile up the access only road from Cleeve Prior, so no traffic noise. A paved area for sitting out, and a lovely big grass area, all completely fenced in so perfect if you have a dog with you. Great base for touring the Cotswolds. I Would highly recommend this lodge.

Our family had a relaxing break at Willow Lodge, we wanted something quiet and dog friendly and the lodge ticked all the boxes.

It was well equipped and restful. The shower was amazing! The directions to the property need expanding as the ‘what three words’ description is incorrect. As we had read some of the previous feedback I knew to head on down the lane before finding the property. While it was cosy eventually I found it to be quite cold initially, hard floors (know the practicalities of this) and the heat not reaching all the property, I missed my slippers and could’ve benefitted from a blanket but there were no extra layers available in the property. We visited everything we had planned and found it to be an excellent base to do so, recommended if travelling with pets.

Superb location for towns and villages.

Very comfortable with everything needed. Like a home from home. We had a lovely Christmas Tree and decorations and a really thoughtful Christmas Hamper. We had a wonderful time and so did our 2 dogs.

Overall a nice place to stay but due to the lanes being very wet, it was unavoidable to get the car and the dogs muddy and dirty.

I know there is nothing you can do with the great British weather but it did mar our break. The accommodation was nice and warm but the double bedroom had a very lightweight duvet which was not adequate for the cold weather. A TV in the master bedroom would be of benefit. A nice location to end bye you to visit any other places of interest.

There is a very overpowering sensor light on the corner of the premises that is totalling unnecessary and very annoying.

There is no provision to dry wet coats human or dogs, perhaps some thought on that. But it is a beautiful location, comfortable, and has evertything you need, and I would recommend the property to anyone, and in fact have already done so.

Fantastic stay in Willow Lodge, the lodge has everything you need for a short break, it’s in a great location to explore and some lovely local pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Very dog friendly place to stay, the garden is big and beautiful and both lodge and garden were very accessible as we have a disabled daughter who has limited mobility and it is very hard to find suitable accommodation for both her and our dog

We had a lovely stay at Willow Cottage.

Small ant problem in bathroom but probably due to time of year. For some reason the beds make you snore, all the beds - we tried all of them due to the sheer volume of each other's snoring, although I'm sure I never usually so this! Great garden for our 2 dogs to run around in. FYI - Toilet rolls, hand wash, washing up liquid, sponges and sachets of coffee, sugar etc. were available. Tassimo pod machine there too (didn't know this so didn't bring my pods).. but there to use. Knives not very sharp but adequate. Everything else you need for cooking is available. Highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for an out of the way location with enclosed garden for your pets.

My family and I stayed at Willow Lodge for 6 nights and it was a fantastic stay.

Willow Lodge is clean comfortable and we couldn't wait to return there after a day out. Would definitely recommend staying there. The garden was huge lots of room for children to run around and extremely peaceful. Would love to return again

What a wonderful cottage loved it would stay again great enclosed garden/field for dog.

Yes it’s in the middle of nowhere but that was fine for us. If there was one thing it’s the direction to property sat nav thinks at that it’s at beginning of lane google maps think it’s another farm but it’s not you need to go quite a way up the lane to found it!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Willow Lodge in September 2022.

The lodge is perfectly situated for walking around the surrounding areas, friendly local pub. Very dog friendly, and out pooch absolutely loved the garden area. Highly recommended for a dog friendly holiday!

We had a really nice time at Willow Cottage in July.

The cottage was well presented and had all that was required for a perfect holiday. We liked it so much we are planning to return very soon.

Lots of local footpaths and totally secure garden for dogs. We had a fabulous two weeks and would definitely book again.

It was a very nice property, lovely surroundings.

The only negative, and it is really slight, is the lack of a Smart TV. Freeview doesn’t offer much choice, the lack of a Netflix or Prime option was noticed.

We had such a lovely stay at Willow Lodge.

The lodge is gorgeous and modern and was fab for our family with small children. Towels and all cleaning products were provided which was great! Also, there was a selection of board games and a big lawn for the kids to play out on! The only things that we didn’t realise were that really you have to drive everywhere. We couldn’t find a local shop/ anywhere to eat in walking distance with 3 young children. The nearest pub is a very long walk down the lane, and also doesn’t open on Mondays and Tuesdays which was half of our stay! But overall, it was so nice and would definitely return! Thankyou so much!

A privacy screen between the two cottages would be useful.

Lovely lodge - very clean.

Although would recommend the grout has a good scrub in the shower as bit dirty and wouldn’t take much. Also not very well accommodated for little ones, highchair and travel cot would be great. Even if it doesn’t get stored in the lodge until someone needs it. Local pub was brilliant so accommodating!

This is a very nice property set in a very quiet location with good walking from the property.

The enclosed area in front of the property is ideal if you have a dog.The only negative for us was that we found the bed small and uncomfortable.There is a great pub a mile away.

Everything was good other than an issue with the heating, I did text Alison about it but she didn't get back to me also there were dirty. dishes left in the dishwasher. Alison did. Day yikk0

Willow Lodge was a very clean, comfortable and well equipped holiday home.

The setting was idyllic, just the sort of peace and quiet we were looking for. Our hosts were lovely friendly people. Definitely recommend it.

Our weeks holiday was perfect at Willow Lodge, everything you would need in the cottage, very comfortable, lovely & clean, secure patio area with a nice little grassed area in front of the Lodge for our two little doggies.

The Kings Arms in the village is fabulous great food & friendly staff. We will certainly be returning to Willow Lodge & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

We could not have picked a better place for our stay in the area.

Beautiful setting, quiet and with a great safe space for our 2 dogs. The village is within walking distance down a safe lane. Our hosts were great at checking in with us and made sure that we had everything to enjoy our stay. We will certainly look to book again.

This is the second time we have stayed here and the properties are excellent and great for people with dogs, lovely walks and local pub is fantastic really great place to stay and unwind

The lodge is a mile down a single track road which is not mentioned any in your description, the bathroom drains had a really bad smell and no means of opening the roof window

Lovely location we stayed in the other cottage on site last year and both are superb.

Great outdoor space for our 2 little dogs. I have already recommended it to my friend for later on in the year. Great for a really peaceful time with superb views.

The accommodation was brilliant, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The garden was great for our dog. Overall a brilliant place, I would highly recommend.

The barn was beautiful, comfortable and perfect for the dog as it had an enclosed area plus a large garden area the dog could run around in and exercise.

Willow lodge was a perfect destination for a quiet, relaxed break.

We had everything we needed to settle in right away, it was well equipped. The lodge had an added bonus of an enclosed garden which was perfect for our cockapoo. The garden was beautiful with lots of trees and the grass was well kept. The lodge itself was beautiful, warm and contemporary. It was like a home from home. We definitely will be rebooking. It was just perfect for us. The owners were always on hand if needed. You won’t regret booking this place!

A beautiful converted barn in awesome surroundings.

Bright, airy and we'll equipped. One thing I would mention, the cottage is "dog friendly' but be aware all the floors are laminate! We had to order and get delivery of some non slip boots for our Springer spaniel who was recovering from a cruciate ligament operation. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage.

The cottage was wonderful.

The beds were comfy, the bathroom and shower were superb. The kitchen was well equipped and the outside space was excellent. All in all we had a fabulous time. If I had to nitpick on one little thing it would be nice to have a welcome guide with a little more info like when recycling is and what can be recycled as it varies so much place to place. Just a few practical bits. Other than that it was superb. Thank you for having us!

Our first impression was how clean and well equipped the accommodation was. We had everything we needed and more. There was plenty of room outside for our dogs to run around. Willow Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the local area. Stratford, Evesham and Broadway are all close by. We will definitely be booking again!

As we had travelled in storm Dennis it was lovely to enter a warm and welcoming place.

Willow Lodge was extremely clean and well presented it was like being in your own home.There was everything you needed for your stay.The homemade biscuits and wine was a lovely touch. Lovely large modern bathroom. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The large grassed fenced in area to the front of the property was great as we were able to allow our dog to go outside without worrying about her. I would say that if you have an elderly dog like ours she did struggle with the flooring so I would recommend taking a couple of runners with you. A really lovely place to stay in.

Well equipped. Looks very modern.Excellent wifi reception.Great shower room. Willow lodge is situated in a quiet country lane but is very well situated for local sights e.g. Stratford upon Avon. Evesham is a few miles away with a host of supermarkets and an very well equipped leisure centre. We had a very enjoyable week and will be returning.

Willow Lodge was a lovely place in quiet surroundings.

It was, however, lacking a visitors book and needs more information leaflets for local amenities and places to visit. Otherwise, everything spot on.

We had a fantastic 4 nights at Willow Lodge and would definitely return.

This is a quiet location and a perfect place to visit surrounding areas like Evesham and Stratford-upon-Avon that were no more than 15-20 minutes drive.The accommodation was extremely clean, tastefully done & had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The owners leave you to your own devices but are on hand for any questions or help you need which was ideal. A lovely place to unwind. This was booked very last minute ( car packed and nowhere to go ) but the owners went out there way to clean and prepare the lodge while we were travelling which was very much appreciated. Just one tip, we found Google Maps better than the SatNav for finding Hoden Lane as it was dark and the SatNav tried to send us past the turning. When you do turn into Hoden Lane, keep driving as you may feel you have missed it as it is a long narrow lane to a dead end. Accommodation perfect for our CockerPoo too as she was able to explore the enclosed vast garden area safely. Willow Lodge highly recommended.

It was terrific.

Only small let down was the quality of the mattresses and the size of the bed in the master bedroom. It was our first holiday without children in more than 21 years and we ended up sleeping in separate beds because the master bed was too small and the sprung mattress too uncomfortable. But everything else was terrific!

We found the property as advertised.

The kitchen is well equipped, the master bedroom is rather spacious and the bathroom is nice. We liked the location: It’s a bit outside the village and we could do lots of things in the area, especially the Cotswolds. But there were also three negative things: First of all, the lodge can also be rented by pet owners, which is something that you could smell. There were scent diffusers in almost every room, but it didn’t help. Also there were smears on the two glass tables and all mirrors where you could see that somebody had cleaned them but hadn’t gone to the trouble of cleaning them in a way that they were _really_ clean. There was also quite a bit of dust and crumbs under the couch (I didn’t lie down to have a look, but you could see it when you sat on the couch) - all in all nothing too bad, but also not „spotlessly clean“. Moreover, there was some kind of construction work going on in the room that wasn’t part of our lodge but that was adjacent to the bedroom which meant that every morning during the week there were loud voices, drilling and hammering from 8 o’clock which is quite a bit earlier than I‘d like to be woken up during my holidays and which is something that I would have been happy to know about before my booking.

Lovely cottage we enoyed our stay.

Thank you for the lovely bottle of wine and biscuits, much appreciated. The cottage is about a 30 minute walk (60 year old) to the local pub, which is well worth a visit.

Location was perfect, property suited our needs particularly in respect of our "four legged guest".

The cottage is bright and modern with plenty of space and a useful outside area also if you are lucky enough to have good weather.

There is a very friendly and welcoming village pub only 20mins walk down the lane. What more could you ask for!

More detailed information about nearby supermarkets would have been appreciated eg co-op at Honeybourne.

Also pub/restaurants.The frog at Bidford-on-Avon (recommended) was closed for renovation.We found central heating settings difficult but could be an age thing! However all in all a lovely place to stay.Must warn Sat Nav left us high and dry so written directions from Cleeve Prior would be useful as a no through road sign to Hoden Lane is off putting.

The accommodation was good, but what business customers should be aware of, is that you will NOT be able to claim your VAT back, as the owner is not VAT registered.

I thought the price was good, until I discovered that I am now unable to claim back the VAT. This is something which I am sure is of importance with most businesses who book accommodation on a regular basis. Futher no complaints about the property; that was all fine.

We had a very comfortable two week stay at Willow Lodge whilst overseeing works on a house we have bought locally.

Alison could not have been more helpful and friendly. The location is rustic with surrounding farmland and beautiful views, yet it is very conveniently placed for surrounding towns. We would recommend this as a lovely, clean and modern place to stay. We don’t have a dog but it is well designed for those who do.

Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Good dog walking from the cottage and nearby, as well as a fenced garden at the property. The welcome pack was very welcoming!!!

A beautiful cottage all catered for and especially appealing as all on one level with a lovely big garden outside which was handy for the dog.

This is just personal choice the settee was too low and uncomfortable as the cushions kept moving. Otherwise lovely and a nice touch of the bottle of wine and homemade biscuits. Will highly recommend.

This cottage was lovely, with everything you could need, including a welcome pack.

The cottage has been finished to a reallygood standard and was really homely. An added bonus was the nice secure garden as well as the patio area. The only let down was the local pub had closed down in January, which was a real shame as it’s only about a mile from the cottage. We have heard though that’s it’s been sold and so I guess may open again soon.

When we arrived at Willow Lodge with our two children, we were absolutely delighted to find exactly what was shown on the website.

The photos and description are very accurate. The finish of this property is of a very high standard and was so clean and fresh. The owners left us provisions above and beyond, the essentials and also wine/homemade biscuits, washing up liquid, hand soap, dishwasher tablets, tea/coffee/sugar etc. All the things you have to usually buy and take half packets home. The location is beautiful, and grounds are pristine. The photos in this advert actually show the garden for the other property which is attached, but they are almost identical. Perfect central location to visit all the pretty villages, and surrounding areas. We were delighted and will definitely be re-booking in the future. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our neighbours were lovely too and even though they had a dog, we rarely heard any noise, which I was initially concerned about. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the Cotswolds.

Lovely clean and tidy accomadation.

Nice and rural. Everything you needed was there. Nice addition of tea coffee sugar and milk available on arrival after long journey. Had a wonderful weeks stay.

The cottage was clean and some provisions had been provided so you didn’t have to go shopping as soon as you arrived.

The garden was fabulous, and much appreciated by our greyhound. The sofa wasn’t very comfortable and a nonslip mat is needed in the shower.
