You can't count the small area at the back as a secluded back garden.
There was only a very small frying pan, this needs to be upgraded to a bigger one. The main thing is the sofa - it is the most uncomfortable thing we have sat on, IKEA, modular sofa, very uncomfortable.
Luckily we know the area well and went out daily, but difficult to relax when we got back to the cottage.
However on a positive note it was very clean, and the large kingsize bed was very comfortable.
Also the towels although clean, they were very small, need upgrading and to larger ones
. Would we go back yes, but only if the points raised were addressed.

I have asked Sykes to remove the description of 'enclosed back garden' from the summary list from The Cottage web site. The little stone garden at the back is a work in progress. A larger frying pan for the kitchen and larger towels are now available.
I was disappointed to hear you found the Sofa uncomfortable. It is brand new, hand made by Sofa Sofa in South Wales [ not the Swedish co. you mentioned] The sofa cushions are possibly still quite firm as The Cottage is very new to the holiday rental market and it has only been sat on by a very small number of people.
I appreciate however, that personal preference in what is deemed to be 'comfortable' varies greatly from person to person. A bit like beds.
The company, Sofa Sofa, have a very successful reputation in the production of British, Hand made sofas, dating back to 1981. I have asked them to send me a quote for a full set of interchangeable cushions for the sofa that are of a softer consistency . I can then offer whichever my guests may prefer. The modular choice was to allow an extra sleeping option, if the futons weren't suitable, for the accompanying children upstairs.
