“We loved our stay at the Cottage.”

When we arrived it was easy to see the cleanliness and care that had been taken to welcome us. When we arrived it was easy to see the cleanliness and care that had been taken to welcome us. There were fresh flowers and milk, and lovely snacks, not just for us but also for our dog and a lovely hand written note. The decor and design of The Cottage has been done with care. The kitchen had everything we required and was well laid out. The lounge was airy and comfortable with a TV where you could access all the streaming services you could want. The bathroom was modern clean and with a lovely large shower. There was also an area with a washing machine and small tumble drier where there was plenty of floor space for shoes etc. The main bedroom was large and had a super large and very comfortable bed. The dressing room, 2nd bedroom was arranged so the beds could be set up for two further persons. As we were only a couple we didn't use the other beds. The Cottage had its own parking and is enclosed so our dog could safely go outside. For ease of maintenance the outside has a loose stone covering and lots of pots of colourful flowers. We found the stairs ok, they are a little unique and persons with mobility issues may find them more difficult. We found the location of The Cottage ideal. Ettington is a busy village with a good shop and a nice pub. We found the recreation ground had good playground (I wasn't allowed on it but it looked fun!) There is a Sainsbury supermarket about 10mins away. Stratford upon Avon is about 20min drive away and Moreton in Marsh is about a 25min drive. Ettington has good road links and there is lots to do and visit in the area. Anne who is the host is very kind and caring. We would have no hesitation in returning to The Cottage, we loved it.

Just amazing feedback ! Thank you both so very much. If The little Cottage had a face it would have a BIG smile on it today :))) A lovely room to room review for future guests to read and consider. I’m so happy you both, and pup, had a wonderful stay. Also your comments on the village and surrounds, so positive and helpful. Including of course the playground mention ! :)) I very much look forward to welcoming you all again in the not too distant future. Thank you again for my beautiful card, I shall treasure it. x Property Owner

About the location

ETTINGTON

Stratford-upon-Avon 6.5 miles; Warwick 11 miles; Royal Leamington Spa 12 miles.

The thriving village of Ettington lies in beautiful Warwickshire countryside and boasts a lovely village pub serving wonderful home-cooked food as well as a village shop/Post Office, well stocked with local fresh produce. The village is recognised as both a Saxon and Roman settlement; the Fosse Way Roman road is close by, and many buildings date back to the 17th century. Ettington is just 6.5 miles south of the market town Stratford-upon-Avon, which dates back to medieval times, and is the home of William Shakespeare. The town boasts many historic buildings including Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, many traditional pubs, excellent restaurants and individual shops, as well as boat hire and cruises along the River Avon. The beautiful National Trust house at Charlecote Park is well worth a visit with its stunning gardens and Capability Brown Deer Park. A few minutes' drive away are Compton Verney and Upton House, both showcasing spectacular collections of paintings and ceramics, whilst set in beautifully landscaped gardens for family friendly days out. The world famous castles at Warwick and Kenilworth are only a 25 minute drive away. Also within easy reach are the picturesque Cotswold villages of Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh making this a great holiday destination for a memorable holiday at any time of year.

Please note: The property can sleep up to 4 adults, but as the second bedroom is only accessible through the master bedroom, it may be better suited for 2 adults with up to two children/young teenagers.
