“Magdalen Cottage is a very comfortable and well-equipped cottage.”

Set slightly off the main road it's very peaceful with a lovely view from the seating area in the rear garden. The owners are very welcoming and helpful if you need them at all. All the bedrooms are a good size and have a good blend of traditional and contemporary features. A dining room separate from the kitchen and living room is a very nice setting if you cook for yourselves, the kitchen is well equipped. The living room is very spacious with comfortable seating and a mix of antique and new. The roadside parking was never a problem, even though we were there for Easter. There's a good selection of places to eat out around and about and a well-stocked village shop with some local produce. Hook Norton is a proper community still, not as touristy as some villages or towns in the Cotswolds. Thoroughly recommend a stay here. Only minor points were there was only 6 cups for tea/coffee - another set would have been handy and larger glasses for juice, water or long drinks. Similarly, another set of small coasters in the dining room would have been convenient.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and that you all had a lovely time. It's a great base to explore the Cotswolds from and we will of course pass on your comments to the Owner, with regards to a few extra mugs and coasters for the dining room. We would love to welcome you again soon for another stay with us. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner
