A beautiful cottage in a wonderful and rural area with the Cotswolds nearby.

It lacked nothing, in fact it was probably the best place we have stayed at.

Very clean and tidy. Everything that you need is supplied and it is a great location for visiting the Cotswold and Stratford upon Avon.

We enjoyed our first visit t West End Barn.

Very clean.However after 17 years and some 30 plus holiday cottages used,we found Web lacking in regards the following. No tumble dryer,essential for 2 week stay. No fresh bedding for the second week. Bathroom door would not close due to warping of timber. Back door 2 splits in upper timbers,allowing rain water ingress during heavy rain on days 4and 5. Otherwise wonderfull. Thanks, Val&Mike Reynolds.

We had a wonderful stay in West End Barn.

The barn was spotless, well equipped with everything you need and just so comfortable. They even provide towels and an outside washing facility for dogs. The garden is private and so pretty. I can honestly say that West End Barn is the best and cleanest holiday let we have ever sytayed in, it’s home from home and we could not fault anything. We will definitely visit again and we highly recommended a stay there. Thank you. Karen

Beautiful property inside and outside.

You have everything you need to make it home, the kitchen has everything you need to cook meals ( very good range of equipment) Beautiful living room with a fantastic open fire for them cold nights and comfortable sofa’s for relaxing. Upstairs the bed was perfect for a good night’s sleep. Outside the garden is very private and secure. My dog Buster had a good look round but could not find anywhere to escape. This was our fist stay here and we enjoyed it so much we have already booked again for another short break in July. Phil, Barbara & Buster

We had a really lovely stay.

The cottage is in a lovely village location with lots of local walks which is exactly what we hoped for. The fire was a real highlight as it made the space so warm and cosy. The bed was incredibly comfortable as well. In the summer, I can imagine the garden would be a lovely place to sit outside too. We would highly recommend.

Lovely, really spacious Cottage which is fully kitted out with all that you need!

They also have an option to supply all the bits you need for the open fire, which was great and saved us time having to bring it or go to get it when needed. Upstairs was a little cold at night, but extra bedding was available. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

What an absolute gem!

This property went beyond expectations.

It was spotless, well equipped and the large beds were a bonus as was the log fire. Sadly we were too warm to light it, but it was a real feature. This is an ideal bolt hole for the Cotswolds. The garden was ideal for us and very secure for my English pointer. The village pub was really welcoming and very dog friendly. Thank you Sarah and Paul we had a great time and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Wonderful accommodation!

We have stayed in a lot of self catering properties and this is one of the best. Immaculately clean and so many extras which you often don't get in self catering properties. Extremely well equipped kitchen, beautiful garden and parking right in front of the house. The house is super dog friendly and the owners were very helpful. The property is well placed to explore the local areas and there is plenty to do / places to visit. We would 100% recommended and we would love to return to West End Barn.

We had a fab stay at this property,the owners thought of things in great detail of all that may be needed and the home was immaculate,the location was well placed to access places of interest,the storage was ample,the garden was very pretty and well managed,our only concern was the lounge suite which was too soft and rather uncomfortable which could be addressed,otherwise a perfect place for a cosy holiday,many thanks to Sarah and Paul

The owners have gone to a lot of effort to ensure that you have everything you need. Definitely one of the better cottages we have stayed in.

Gorgeous property, welcoming, clean and comfortable for a week's break.

Milk and biscuits on arrival, thanks! Bed extremely comfy. Cards, jigsaws, some board games, leaflets, books to read. Found the noise of running water in the garden relaxing and enjoyed fish-watching. Removed a ton of blanket weed which must've helped the pond filter. Didn't expect to see the Red Arrows practicing their stunts over 3 days, which was an added surprise. Facilities at the property excellent, including those extra touches, eg doggy towels, washing up liquid etc. Found washing machine capsules under the sink after the event (used shampoo as I'd already put the washing in)! Found the lounge settees a little bit too soft if I'm honest, but overall a restful stay in a beautiful location.

This is a beautiful property.

It is very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Everything is high quality. The pretty garden is small and very secure. There is a woodland trust wood and field a couple of minutes walk away which was great for our dog. Unfortunately for us personal circumstances made us cut short our holiday but we fully intend to return to see what we missed out on.The owner, Sarah ,was so kind and helpful which was much appreciated. West End Barn is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in.

A wonderful cosy cottage in a tranquil village setting with many of the comforts of contemporary living - just the tonic to chill out before Christmas.

To be so accessible to performances at the RSC in Stratford upon Avon and several National Trust properties - appropriately adorned for Christmas and universally welcoming with a seasonal spirit of conviviality - this is truly a great location. The memories of visits to local Carol services both in the village and in Evesham, I’m sure will stand the test of time. In summary, a lovely well-equipped cottage in an excellent location with good access to an extensive range of cultural experiences and interesting places - a truly brilliant holiday, thank you!

All of the rooms are spotlessly clean with the furniture, kitchen utensils etc, of the highest quality. Wonderful dog walks from the front door and lots of beautiful places to visit by car or public transport, or alternatively spending time in the garden with a good book is recommended! Looking forward to returning.

This cottage was fantastic - so well equipped and with everything provided to ensure a comfortable stay.

All fixtures and fittings were of high quality, bedrooms spacious with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space - even a dressing room. The property was well situated for dog walks, the local pub provides great meals and there are local shops in easy reach.

Easy to find but quiet location. Lovely west facing garden and patio. It is immaculately clean and very well equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay, including for the dog. A few minutes walk to the King's Arm community pub which serves very good pub grub. The chefs went out of their way to cater for me as I am coeliac, which was lovely. Totally dog friendly pub too. Lots of info on local walks and places to visit. A perfect break, thank you.

The cottage was extremely clean and well equipped.

Everything you could possibly need for your holiday was provided even down to umbrellas and dog towels. It’s very tastefully decorated throughout with comfortable furnishings. The back garden and pots of flowers to the front were all beautifully maintained. The lockable garage to store bikes was a real bonus. The owner is very helpful and excellent at quickly responding to any queries you may have. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to visit again ourselves.

STAYED HERE BEFORE AND THE COTTAGE IS STILL UP TO A FINE STANDARD

We honestly could not believe how immaculate and spotlessly clean this cottage was.

There was absolutely nothing you could think of that was not provided. The rooms were all really spacious beds very comfortable, fabulous working shower with bath. The kitchen had washing machine, dishwasher a table to sit and eat. The front room was the best as it had a real fire which we used quite a lot, really comfortable sofas, tv and dvd with books everywhere and dvds . The garden has chairs and is also spacious. It was so lovely to stay in such an immaculate house which also allowed dogs. The walks around here with dogs are numerous and the local pub has open fire and good food, also allows dogs and the manager and her partner are very welcoming. We think this is the best cottage we have stayed in to date. It was so easy to contact Sarah and Paul who replied almost immediately to any questions. I would definitely book again if we stayed in this area. Thank you both for a great week.

Beautiful cottage which was spotless.

It contains everything we needed and the owners were very welcoming. Well placed for both Stratford and The Cotswolds.

The property was exactly as we expected - immaculate, well furnished and equipped and perfect for pet owners.

We'd highly recommend it as a terrific base for the Cotswolds as well as the surrounding countryside. The owner had left some lovely personal touches (fresh flowers/doggy towels) and some advice on places to eat with a pooch. We were very grateful and really appreciated her attention to detail. We will definitely return for another lovely week at some point.

The property was in excellent condition and thoroughly clean.

The garden was well fenced and ideal for our hound. We got good advice from the owner re local dog-friendly pubs, and found plenty more via the internet in the surrounding towns, such as Stratford and Chipping Campden. All in all, we certainly stay here again.

It was easy to park and the cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped.

We were able to make good use of the garden. Rachel was easy to contact and kept us well informed. It was a real home from home and we would definitely stay there again.

Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need and more. Cleeve Prior is a lovely quiet village in an ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds and with plenty of local walks. West End Barn is highly recommended, just wish we’d booked 2 weeks instead of 1!

Stayed in a number of Sykes cottages over the years and West End Barn is up there with the best.

It really was home from home, in some ways it's better than our current house. If I was being ultra picky there was not a lot of storage space in the kitchen cupboards for a large food shop as they were full of kitchenware. Also if the wind is strong and in a certain direction the cottage can be quiet noisy. In reality though we would happily return and recommend if asked.

Absolutely loved this property, really enjoyed our stay, so very cosy & very home from home in every way possible, we as a family absolutely loved our time there.

Lovely quaint cottage with adorable garden - we particularly enjoyed the fishpond and only wish we were there at a warmer time of year.

Slightly quirky layout, especially upstairs, but we enjoyed the luxury of a dressing room. It was also useful to have the flexibility of the ziplock bed which could be used as two singles or a second double. Plus a downstairs toilet in addition to upstairs bathroom. Highly recommended.

Cottage was excellent , extremely clean , comfortable and it had everything we need , beds were soft and luxurious and we had the best sleep ever .

It is a pretty cottage in a beautiful village . Host was quick to respond and she left a bottle of milk for us on arrival . One of the group left her credit card accidentally( which she wasn’t aware of ) and the host phoned us on the same day to say that she found it and posted it , We highly recommend this place to and we were so glad we found such a perfect place and five stars for the host too. Sykes booking was easy and straightforward , however it was impossible to get hold of them on the phone which made some difficulties initially.

We loved the barn and Cleeve Prior !

It was such a surprise to find Sarah had put up a Christmas tree and a swag over the fire mantel. She also supplied two extra dining chair for when my son and his family can for Sunday Lunch.

The village pub The KIng's Arms in Cleeve Prior near our holiday property has now re-opened.

Good food and atmosphere. Do not promote The Fleece in Bretforton. As you mentioned it in the accommodation's details we thought we would try it. Lovely historical building run by National Trust, but the food is dire.

A beautiful cottage, in a lovely and historic village.

The cottage was spotless, very well equipped, warm and cosy, with wonderfully comfortable beds. The garden is peaceful and very well tended. The owners were so thoughtful as to put flowers on the table, toiletries in the bathroom, and other little touches that made us feel welcome and at home. We had a perfect stay and would highly recommend.

It had great character and felt very homely. The garden was delightful with beautiful tubs of flowers as well as well stocked borders. The street was very quiet and in fact the whole village felt tranquil but very friendly. This was an ideal stay to unwind as well as visit the intesresting towns of Stratford, Pershore and Twekesbury all less than an hours drive. Probably one of the best cottages we have rented.Thank you.

Extremely clean, supplies of everything you could need, beautiful village. Probably the best cottage I have stayed in.

Cottage warm on arrival.

Front door a bit tricky to open. All furniture is comfortable, and kitchen is well-equipped. Instructions for cooker use would have been useful. Garden is very pleasant, fun to feed the fish as requested. Water hot and plentiful. Apple juice, tea, coffee sachets and flowers on arrival were appreciated. Pub in village currently open and friendly. We would be happy to recommend this property to others.

This was our second visit and yet again it didn't disappoint it was fantastic very clean and comfortable every thing was there.

The Christmas tree a fantastic touch could not recommend it enough and only a 20 minute drive from Stratford upon Avon where you can catch up with your William Shakespeare experience and many different eating establishments to choose from over all a fantastic experience.

The West End Barn is an excellent holiday property it is spotless clean very well equipped and maintained we really enjoyed our stay here.

Enjoyed the cottage needed more equipment for fire ie poker, tongs, gloves, brush and dustpan just for fire.

Needed more info especially bin day missed it as didn’t know what day arriving. Was pleased that all cleaning stuff was provided house clean and homely

Everything was provided even notes of a lovely dog walk, very local. It was ideal for our dogs, particularly as we needed shade in this heat wave. Can't fault the cottage. The bottle of wine left for us was also very welcome after a horrendous journey.

The cottage, in an idyllic village, was perfect; all requirements catered for, spotless throughout, the bottle of wine in the fridge a lovely touch.

Cathy my wife wanted to buy the place within an hour of being there! Great location to explore the surrounding area; not that it detracted in any way from our week's stay, but a shame the village pub is closed down, can't understand why it wouldn't thrive in a place like Cleeve Prior. A really topclass Cottage.

This Cottage was probably the best equipped one that we have stayed in to date. It had a nice homely feel and in a great area for exploring the local countryside

Quiet. Picturesque. Great location for seeing lots of beautiful places. The owners really do think of everything to make your holiday an amazing one. For humans and dogs! Even a hot water hose outside for washing muddy paws.

West End Barn was a very well equipped beautiful cottage in a lovely location , Appreciated small touches like dog towels and the hot water tap outside was a godsend for cleaning a mucky dog !

Well equipped , beautiful cottage in immaculate condition.

We especially enjoyed the lovely open fire.

This cottage was absolutely lovely.

The furnishings and equipment were first class. They welcomed dogs and even provided towels and shampoo for the four legged friend. Lots of local walks - mostly advised by the owners. We had a marvellous week and will very likely return. Small hiccup was little or no mobile reception in the house but a short walk cures that - some will see that as an advantage!

The cottage was immaculate, everything in it was first class quality facilities.

We loved lighting the open fire in the evenings and relaxing around it. The village is a delight to wander around. Easy access to many footpaths around the area & the river Avon. Sarah, the owner, could not have been more helpful & courteous to us. We will definitely return to West End Barn.

Everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Struggled to get wifi connection anywhere in the village but that didnt detract from the cottage in anyway

We had the most fantastic stay in this cottage (at the bank holiday weekend), which was so beautiful and well appointed that we wished we could live there!

It is in a great location, in the quiet village of Cleave Prior with its local pub in walking distance, and within 30min to many beautiful villages/towns of the Cotswolds (we particularly enjoyed visits to Broadway and Worcester) The cottage itself was pretty as a picture, with a beautiful enclosed garden and pond with fishes, and a bid shed for storage (including a big freezer and barbecue ), the kitchen is a very good size and litterally looked brand new with brand new good quality appliances/cutlery and has view and door to the garden, it also had some nice treats waiting for us! The living room has a massive stone fireplace, it looked so amazing that we used it twice at evenings even if the weather was quite warm! The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully arranged too, with nice wood beams cutting through, great size and clean. In general, the cottage was very well equipped and even had everything (and more) you could think off, like in a hotel. In conclusion, this cottage is amazing! Our little dog loved it too, we would definitively recommend this 100%, the best cottage we have even stayed in, cannot think of any negative Deborah,Ian and Duster
