    “Bitterly disappointed with this cottage.”

Not at all as depicted by the glowing write up and photographs. The living room was dusty with plaster missing from the walls. In the kitchen the fridge had a totally rusted bottom hinge with staining along the rubber door seal. There no welcome pack provided. The only thing left on the windowsill was some Bayliss and Harding hand wash with half an inch left in the bottom of the bottle. Even if welcome packs aren’t provided in some properties at least one or two tea bags and some milk would ...

Even if welcome packs aren’t provided in some properties at least one or two tea bags and some milk would be left. The oven tray had remnants of food on it left by previous quests. This should have been found by the cleaners. The battery operated pedal bin lid didn’t work. Surely it wouldn’t have been too much bother to replace the battery. One of the bedroom blinds was broken. This had been reported to the owner back in September 2024 and still hadn’t been repaired/replaced. The toilet bowl wasn’t as clean as it should have been. There was staining on the bottom of the bowl and under the rim. No cleaners of any kind were provided. There were two small toilet rolls to last a full week. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding and towels were spotless. The cottage is in an ideal location and could be beautiful. There are, however, serious housekeeping issues needing to be addressed if this property is to continue to be let out as a holiday cottage.
