“We enjoyed our stay in Cowfair and, in the main, the facilities were good.”

We felt the kitchen could do with a makeover, not enough worktop space and the oven, virtually on the floor (we're in our 70's) was quite difficult as we eat in most of the time. It would be good to have some hand towel arrangement around the bathroom washbasin otherwise we're dripping over the floor. It was a bit of a shame there is a drain smell from either the downstairs loo/utility room/kitchen drains? I managed to lessen the pong by shutting the utility door but this needs the bottom edge ...

I managed to lessen the pong by shutting the utility door but this needs the bottom edge shaving off as it is difficult to close and it makes a terrible noise. We thought you ought to know that the heating (is great) but stuck on manual and it wasn't until about the 3rd night that we realised it was actually on all through the night. We love Chipping Campden and have been to several of your properties there and hope to be back in the future. Oh, yes, I didn't realise that the bins/recycle boxes weren't emptied before we arrived and so the black box with glass etc in it, didn't get opened by me until I put a glass empty water bottle in there and by then the collection had been and gone. Also, must have been the wrong week for the refuse bin (I did put it out) but when we left and I emptied the kitchen bin there were several other bags already in there. It is a complex system and I think the same list that's in the kitchen would be useful on the back of the black shed door. Sorry it sounds like we're real moaners but we had a great stay.

About the location

CHIPPING CAMPDEN

Moreton-in-Marsh 8 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 12 miles

This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.
