Perfect location - 5 min walk from the town centre and 10 min walk to the racecourse.

Shakespeare's church just around the corner. Great locals pub over the road in the Bull. Comfy beds and excellent shower room. Useful utility area for dog stuff etc.

Heath Cottage was so central we were able to walk to nearby places.

The Butterfly Farm, river & shops. Left the car in the NCP car park for the duration of our stay (3 nights) Cottage was very comfortable and area very quiet

We recently stayed at this property and had a mixed experience, but unfortunately it did not represent good value for money given the price (nearly £600 for our 3-night stay).

There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues that need attention. The hot tub only partially worked, with one side not functioning, and there was sand in the base of it. The dining table was very sticky on arrival. The main kitchen fridge was pretty much at room temperature rather than cold, and we used the utility room fridge. That, along with the microwave and oven, all needed a thorough clean. The cold tap in the ground floor toilet did not work, and the kitchen tap was loose, with no drainer provided for washing up. We also experienced flickering lights during our stay. The bedrooms lacked basic furniture such as chests of drawers or dressing tables, which made it difficult to properly unpack and settle in, and there were no bins provided upstairs which was inconvenient. The instructions provided at the property could have been clearer, particularly for appliances and facilities. In addition, some form of drying provision (such as a clothes airer or outdoor line) would have been very helpful for towels and swimwear. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, linen and towels were good quality, the house was warm, and the location was good. It was also appreciated that kitchen roll was provided, and that the property was accommodating for dogs. The contact/host was responsive, although initially not very understanding regarding the issue with the sticky table. Overall, the property feels quite tired and would benefit from better maintenance, clearer guidance for guests, and a much deeper clean to bring it up to an acceptable standard for the price.

A lovely cottage within walking distance of Stratford-upon-Avon high street, perfect for a girls' catch-up weekend.

Pros: A huge hot tub Comfy sofas Large dining room table, great for shared meals Lovely, helpful housekeeper who answered all our questions promptly Slippers and towels to use for the hot tub were a great addition Cons: Old, gas oven that either didn't cook or burned most things we made Slightly tired bathroom with a step down into it (beware in the middle of the night!) The place could do with a proper dust (cobwebs, tops of door etc) Overall, we were happy with our choice and would stay again. This isn't a cottage for someone with mobility issues but apart from that it was great.

Cozy well equiped cottage, very comfy beds, close to town centre.

It's looking a bit tired just needs a bit of tlc around the house, like the wood paneling on kitchen doors, when you switched on the dining room light and the front room they flickered all the time, tumble dryer was broke, the summer house had no electric to it so we couldn't make use of that.

Also lots of clutter in cupboards ie under the kitchen sink and bathroom. The plus side was hot tub was amazing and the log

Great cottage for a few days in Stratford, great location and parking in a local car park included (as limited parking outside on the street), worked well for us.

Hot tub was great,and Sky TV package a bonus. Overall the house was fine and comfortable, but could do with a little TLC place, the housekeeper Annabel was very helpful.

The main reason I choose this house was it's proximity to the theaters.

We were in town for a few days and planned to see a few plays and we would not have a car. Walking distance to the theater was important to me, as we planned to walk everywhere and not deal with busses, etc... This house was perfectly situated to the theaters and it was a lovely walk along the Avon River to the theaters. We were able to walk to the town center and see all the sights. It was a little longer walk from the train station but it is doable (maybe not with suitcases, we only had backbacks that first day we arrived as our luggage did not arrive with our flight). This location was perfect in regards to locatiomn to the things that were important to us. The house is clearly an older style home but nicely decorated and furnished. The kitchen was appropriately stocked and the beds were comfortable. One thing I had to get used to was the one step down into the kitchen (from the living room) and the one step down into the bathroom (from the hallway), so if you're not paying attention to it, you'll misstep like I did a few times. One thing to note is the stairs up to the second floor. They are narrow and steep, and the stair treads a higher than a normal step. By the end of the week, with all the walking we had done, the steps became a chore to get up with my husbands aching knees. That goodness there was a hot tub, as we hit the hot tub every evening for relief. The listing for this house noted there was a washer and dryer. After washing a load of the new clothes we had to buy, we realized the dryer was out of service. Lucky there is a laundrette just a few doors down the street, and lucky for me the owner was there the night I stopped in and I was able to buy some British coin from her to use the machines, as we did not have any British coin with us. So if the washer/dryer are important to you, perhaps ask if the dryer is working. The listing also noted that a hair dryer was provided but I could not find it in the house. I purchased a hair dryer and left it at the end of my stay. Lastly, as an Amerian, I struggled to use the shower despite there being posted instructions. I'm used to first turning the water on at the faucet tap/s, then adjusting to use the shower head, and that is what I was trying to do here, and hardly any water would could out of the shower head. Here, you don't turn the water on at the faucet. You turn it on from the shower bar itself. We figured that out on our last day. So having said all that, this place was great for the money. Hotels were so expensive when I looked around. The owners provide a housekeeper to communicate with during your stay. She was very friendly and asked if there were any special requests during our stay. They even left a birthday card for my husband after I mentioned we are coming to Stratford to celebrate our October birthdays. I would definitely stay here again!

We love Heath Cottage and have stayed before.

Absolute brilliant location, only short walk to river or town. Pub just across the road too. Communication and help from Annabelle was brilliant too. Only thing I would say is the cottage and garden could do with a little TLC now but overall we had a fantastic holiday. Thank you

We had a lovely week in Heath Cottage, yes it could do with sprucing up a bit but it was clean, spacious and comfortable.

It’s very handy for a short walk into town or down along the river which we loved. It was a bit autumnal some evenings but the wood burner was great and made it nice and cosy. Parking was an issue and a permit would make all the difference.

We absolutely loved our stay in Stratford.

The cottage was super spacious and comfy, whilst being homely. We were really happy with the communication from Annabelle, who was quick to reply when we had questions. Would stay here again for sure.

Very helpful housekeeper. Clean and comfortable and in a great location. Good pub across the road. Upstairs could do with upgrading. Garden area needs a revamp and comfortable furnishings Wi-Fi not secure TV did not appear to be working properly

The Cottage is in the perfect location for exploring Stratford Upon Avon on foot.

It's cozy, clean and comfortable. The log burner and hot tub are a definite bonus! Communication with Annabel the Housekeeper was excellent.

The place was perfect, had everything you needed and the location was brilliant.

We had a fantastic stay, everything we needed was in the property.

Ideal location to be able to walk to most places of interest. We were able to park our car outside the property as our daughter has a disabled badge so we didn’t need to park in hotel car park. Having the hot tub was perfect to relax in after walking around. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Cottage was extremely grubby and tired.

Stains on furniture, floor dirty and chips in paint work. Mould in bathroom and musty smell from room downstairs that could be smelt even with the door shut.

We had a lovely stay at Heath Cottage for 3 nights in July 2024.

Annabelle the housekeeper was exceptionally helpful and responded immediately to any queries we had. The cottage is in the centre of Stratford, around a 7 minute walk from the train station and has a fabulous hot tub - exactly what we wanted for a ladies break away. They even provided spa slippers for us. We would definitely recommend and probably visit again in the future.

It's a great location for exploring beautiful Stratford upon Avon and is just a few minutes walk to all the main attractions. Shops, pubs and restaurants are all nearby. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. The hot tub is a real bonus - we were fortunate enough to have fantastic weather so we made a lot of use of this. The housekeeper Annabel was really helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay in the cottage again. Thank you!

The cottage is in a great location, walking distance to the centre of town, however, the cottage is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance.

The garden is overgrown and the seating in the garden isn't comfortable. The tap in the kitchen was loose. The decor is obviously old and the paintwork grubby and faded, the bathroom needs modernising. The beds were clean and comfortable though and there was a good supply of towels. The kitchen was well equipped.

We really enjoyed our stay at Heath Cottage, it was very convenient for accessing central Stratford upon Avon on foot.

Annabel, the Housekeeper, was extremely helpful and ensured the bedrooms were set up as requested. Whilst we didn't get to use the hot tub (we were too busy relaxing in front of the wood burner!) the completely enclosed garden was great for our dog.

We had a fantastic week at Heath Cottage.

We’ve stayed in the old town a few times and this was definitely the best cottage. Close to town and river, it was an ideal location. Out during the day then cosying up back at the cottage in front of the wood fire. And we didn’t even use the garden, pool or cellar room! So much on offer. Highly recommended.

An extremely well-located and cosy little cottage for a short stay.

The hot tub is absolutely wonderful! The beds were extremely comfortable and the log fire was a real treat over the Christmas period! Thank you

Hot Tub very dated and some jets not working!

Some carpets are the worse for wear but overall it was a great spot for the theatre and shops.

Lovely cottage.

Beds so comfy and quality linen. Plenty of towels provided and kitchen equipment. Location perfect. Instructions very clear with Annabelle and communication quick. Parking a bonus. Beginning to look a bit tired could do with some TLC. No light around hot tub so if using during the evening very dangerous. Summer house was a no go. Not clean and struggle to open door.

It would have been easy to give the cottage a top marks across the board, the facilities, location etc being first class.

However it was let down on our stay by: The shower in the bathroom was broken and part of it emoved. There is a shower in the basement but not very convenient. We were slightly embarrassed when we went to Indigo Hotel to park our car, as previously arranged, only to be told the cottage did not have the use of the car park in July and August. Thankfully the Hotel honoured the arrangement.

A lovely cottage in the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Free parking at a nearby hotel was greatly appreciated. The hot tub was an extra bonus and the weather could not have been kinder to us. Try The Bull pub over the road as the food was lovely. Annabel our point of contact was extremely helpful. A real little gem of a cottage in a wonderful location. We will be visiting again soon.

This location of this lovely accommodation is fantastic within beautiful Stratford-Upon-Avon - we enjoyed our stay immensely.

The hot tub is a really great additional facility and we were very lucky with the weather so used it every day. Parking at the hotel also a great plus to this cottage - extremely easy and seamless process both on arrival and departure.

Charming little cottage.

Great location. However, the bathroomshower upstairs did not work properly. We reported this to Annabel and it will be fixed. This problem does excist however for a rather long time. But in general we enjoyed our time in Stratford. The parkingfacilities at the nearby hotel were great.

The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable, an extra bonus with the hot tub which my children enjoyed. Annabel was extremely helpful and provided extra supplies when needed. Great location and parking was not an issue being in the car park a short walk away.

We had a lovely weekend stay in Heath Cottage Stratford upon Avon to celebrate my Husband’s birthday.

The cottage is cosy and the extra amenities such as; a dishwasher, washing machine, sky box, etc. that make your stay more relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and while there was some noise from the pub opposite as other reviewers mentioned (I only noticed this as I’m somewhat of a night owl) it didn’t stop me any of us from sleeping. Including my 6 month old son who is an incredibly light sleeper. We loved having the use of the hot tub, which is really why we chose to stay at this property over others. I would agree with other reviews that there does seem to be a problem with the Wi-Fi connection dropping repeatedly. Thankfully this didn’t particularly affect our stay short here as we spent most of the time enjoying the town and the hot tub in the garden. My almost 3 year old son loved his “little holiday house” and particularly enjoyed his trip to the ‘cookie cottage’ down shrives walk. Annabel the house keeper was very helpful via text prior to our arrival and we didn’t need much more assistance as everything else was quite self explanatory, with signs explaining use of the hot tub etc.

Heath Cottage is a gem.

Situated in the centre of Stratford upon Avon, easy to walk for a potter, a coffee or a bit of shopping. The hot tub was amazing and we were blessed with lovely weather. Everything you needed and more. We even trained to Birmingham for a day out and the train station is a short walk away, complimentary parking much appreciated.

Gorgeous spacious cottage, spotlessly clean, lovely garden and hot tub- perfect location to visit the theatres and shops in Stratford, all a very short walk away.

Was really impressed with the service, friendly and helpful - nothing too much trouble and arranged really convenient parking for us.

Comfortable, homely, well equipped cottage.

Excellent location and jacuzzi was a nice relaxation after a day out. We has few issues initially which were promptly sorted by the excellent housekeeper Annabel. Would definitely return!

The location of the property is perfect and it is a nice property but a bit tatty and battered and in need of attention in some areas.

We feel for the amount we paid (over £900 for three days) it could have been better. The hot tub was hot and clean but it does not work properly. The garden is in need of cutting back and tidying and the summerhouse offered no appeal - too many cobwebs. The bathroom is shabby and the shower control very stiff. The cream stair carpet is badly marked and needs a good clean or replacing- it just looks bad. We did not use the cellar room - it smelt musty/damp. The second bedroom needs more hanging storage. The positive of this property is the location.

We were very comfortable in the cottage and our puppy totally took to the place!

She slept well and enjoyed the walks along the river. We did too as the beds are comfy

Brilliant location which is a minutes walk to the town centre.

Cottage was extremely comfortable and Annabelle was really helpful. Hot tub gave us relaxing evening chilling in the garden although no all the jets we're working and you do have to be out by 10pm as its situated in a residential area. The only thing that puzzled me by this was when we went to bed we could here the music from the pub over the road! Other wise 5 stars, would revisit.

The cottage is in the perfect location in relation to the town, restaurants and activities.

However, the pub opposite the cottage has some issues with drugs. We were woken twice during our stay with people buying, selling and arguing over drugs. The area is clearly residential but during the night the road was used as a racetrack! The cottage had everything we needed. Unfortunately though, for the price we paid, (£1000) there were things we felt could be improved. On arrival we noticed that the previous occupants rubbish hadn’t been taken away, I had to sort the bathroom bin with a bag, there was no toilet roll holder, no hand towels for hand washing which meant we had to use the towels that we’d been given for showering.The cupboard in the kitchen with no handle had all of the plates in, so that took a while to find!! We’re aware that every holiday home is different but this is the first one we stayed in with no tea, coffee or little bottle of milk in the fridge and no welcome treat, obviously not a given but a surprise after our holidays in the past. We felt it wasn’t as clean as it could be, dust behind doors, the dining room table, and cupboard doors in the kitchen. Everything looked a bit tired and in need of updating/painting. The housekeeper was very helpful when the WiFi went down and came over the same day to fix it, however it continued to be intermittent during the remainder of our stay.

Cottage is in a fantastic location, everything in the town is within walking distance.

We weren't able to park outside but a paid parking space in NCP carpark provided. However, only needed the car for out of town trips. On the whole the cottage was very comfortable, fantastic jacuzzi. We stayed a week a few simple improvements could be made. A larger wardrobe in bedroom I which there is space for, no storage in second bedroom so daughters had to keep clothes in cases in the basement room. More electrical points upstairs. The controls on the shower are quite stiff, making it difficult to turn on/off. Unfortunately the drier couldn't be used when we were there. We used the log burner one night but no proper tools provided, so quite difficult to use and couldn't clean it afterwards. Other than these few issues very enjoyable stay.

Lovely character cottage on Old Town, well located, easy to walk to all facilities and tourist spots; quiet and friendly neighborhood; everything we needed was there including a lovely secluded garden and hot tub.

We were very appreciative of the service from Sykes Cottage staff, in particular Annabelle.

We had need to ask for assistance on a couple of occasions and the response we received from a text was almost instantaneous, and the minor issues sorted out straight away. Thank you all very much. The cottage itself was ideal for us, the weather good so we were only there overnight, but it was perfectly placed for a very short walk to all the facilities on offer in the town. The only thing I would mention was perhaps the addition of somewhere to hang clothes after being washed so as guests don't necessarily need to use a tumble drier. If there was a line, or a clothes hanger and I missed finding it, apologies ! Thank you again, would highly recommend.

Great location, close to town centre and you are not short of options of things to do or places to see.

The summary indicated plenty of storage room in bedrooms.

There was a small wardrobe in one bedroom and three coat hooks in the other. There was an absence of accessible plug sockets upstairs which made it difficult to dry hair with any mirror in reach The fridge in the kitchen had no door storage for milk bottles. Therefore had to use the fridge in the utility room. Found the property to be tired and in need of updating. On a positive note, location was excellent and the garden was tidy and caught the sun.
