Park your car in the off-road parking space before entering into the hallway where you can kick off your boots and move through the property, into the kitchen that is well-equipped for home-cooking and also contains a handy dishwasher, to help with the cleaning up, as well as a washer/dryer.
The open plan living/dining room blends contemporary style with traditional character and is set over two levels, with high ceilings adorning beautiful exposed beams, where you can rest on the four-seater sofa or wonderful selection of armchairs, watching a film on the Blu-ray player, as the gentle glow from the woodburning stove lights up the room and keeps you warm and toasty.
In the summer months, end each day in style with a sociable seat under the stars in the courtyard garden, and make use of the charcoal barbecue, toasting a glass of fizz to an unforgettable holiday.
When your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find the king-size master with high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, overlooking the courtyard garden and village square through the dual aspect windows, and a twin room, perfect for children, which is set across two levels, with an en-suite bathroom.
In the morning, enjoy an invigorating rinse in the walk-in shower and get ready to head out for the day into the picturesque village of Blockley which has a country pub, The Great Western Arms, a historic Norman church, Church of St Peter and St Paul, and the popular community owned shop and café which serves delicious food during the day and hosts a couple of dinner evenings too.
Surrounded by wonderful countryside, there are many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep including The Monarch’s Way long distance walking trail which passes through the village and can be followed either north to Chipping Campden or up and over the ridge towards Moreton-in-Marsh, skirting the fringes of Batsford Arboretum which is a 56-acre garden with trees and shrubs from around the world in the plant centre and a café.
At Courtyard House, you are close to the bustling market town of Stow-on-the-Wold where you can take a walk around the market square, which is the heart of the community and offers boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, as well as the Farmers’ Market which occurs every second Thursday of each month, featuring inviting local produce.

Absolute perfection, We were here for a 'minimoon' and loved the cottage, and it's quirky, loveliness.
Everything was provided, we loved exploring during the day and lighting the fire in the evening. We will definitely return. I would say, that if you have a car, bigger than a VW Polo or similar, you might struggle to park it in the driveway given the tight turn into it and the neighbours parking space. Having said that, we had no issue parking in the village, which was only a very short stroll. Highly recommend The Great Western Arms,. Huge thanks for sharing your home with us. xx
This property is so beautiful.
We loved the decor and details, and the garden was like our own little oasis. The location is great for exploring the cotswolds and the village store and cafe are just a couple minutes walk away and also wonderful. We loved that the village was minimally touristy and very quiet. There aren't a lot of options of places to eat, but we enjoyed making some meals at the house and grilling in the garden. The only suggestions are that it would be appreciated to have a couple more tabs for the dish washer and clothes washing machines. There were only two provided and when you are staying for 4+days it would be helpful to have at least a dishwasher tab for each day of the stay. We did end up buying washing up liquid as that was also almost gone. Some thicker curtains would be nice for blocking out the light in the main bedroom in particular, and we had a devil of a time locking the garden door. Not sure why we had such trouble, but some tips on how that should be managed would be great. But again, can't stress enough how much we loved this property and location. It was so cozy and beautiful in the evenings too, with all the accent lamps on. Super cozy. I was worried about the twin beds configuration from the photos, but it turned out to be a lovely room. Our daughters slept well there and the twin beds were a generous width, not on the narrow side as at other properties we stayed at. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
