“The most perfect cottage, exactly like I imagined a cosy Cotswolds cottage to be.”

Well equipped, absolutely everything you need, proper home from home. Lovely watching the birds and squirrels in the garden. You are nestled in a forest with beautiful birdsong and yet only minutes from the nearest town Moreton -in -Marsh which was a lovely place and also had everything you need. Well equipped, absolutely everything you need, proper home from home. Lovely watching the birds and squirrels in the garden. You are nestled in a forest with beautiful birdsong and yet only minutes from the nearest town Moreton -in -Marsh which was a lovely place and also had everything you need. We visited many surrounding villages, beautiful buildings everywhere, thatched roofs and picture book homes. We ate some lovely meals in dog friendly pubs and cafes, we found everywhere to be very dog friendly. My husband was happy fishing at the 3 fishing ponds at bottom of the garden, he caught many fish including some large Carp, so anyone who enjoys coarse fishing would love this place. We had a lovely greeting from Rob with good information about the cottage, plus lots of good info inside the cottage was provided and also the nicest and most generous welcome food hamper we have ever had and we have stated at many places over the years. Owners property is just behind, they are available if you need them but you are also very private. We had a wonderful week at this perfect cottage, in a stunning area to explore and we will most definitely return. Thank you to Rob and Julie for the opportunity to live in their wonderful cottage for a week.

Dear Amanda & Glen, What a wonderful review, thank you ! We are so pleased that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at Hadcroft Cottage. it was very pleasing to hear that Glen did so well with his fishing. As you say the ponds are just a short walk away and they are very well stocked with course fish. It really was a pleasure to meet you and the whippets and we look forward to seeing you again. All the very best, Rob & Julie Property Owner

The property

Perched in the thick of one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, Hadcroft Cottage is as quintessential English country cottage as you could imagine.

An utterly charming cottage packed with homely touches throughout, this is an ideal retreat for those looking to escape into the countryside and enjoy peace and quiet.

Happily you are only moments from some of the most popular spots in the northern Cotswolds including Stow on the Wold, Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh.

Inside the cottage is gorgeously cute, with big beams, a huge romantic inglenook fireplace with roaring fire and lovely pine stairs plus the odd 'knick-knack' which give a nod to the cottage's historic past.

Outside your enclosed garden (ideal for the very welcome pooches should you wish to bring them) overlooks the woods, filled with huge, old trees and the sound of birdsong - in fact you're even overlooked by an occupied dovecote!

If you are lucky you may also spot the resident Barn Owls.

Not only that but there are three lakes you can trundle down to and fish in*!

Truly idyllic.

If you jump in your car you can be in Stratford in no time as well as the lovely local National Trust houses like Hidcote, Kiftsgate and Bourton House.

Charming and totally welcoming - you'll love this beautiful, rural retreat. (*all anglers must have an Environment Agency Rod License')
