    I have reviewed the listing. It is accurate but does not reflect the poor quality we experienced. The cottage is well equipped, has everything as stated. We were grateful for the scones and jam left for us. The bed linen was good quality and clean. We enjoyed the garden and tennis court. However the cottage is very run down, threadbare, fraying carpets, frayed thin towels, old low quality bathroom sanitary ware, old furniture with stained cushion covers, dirt and cobwebs around the aga and ...

    I have reviewed the listing. It is accurate but does not reflect the poor quality we experienced. The cottage is well equipped, has everything as stated. We were grateful for the scones and jam left for us. The bed linen was good quality and clean. We enjoyed the garden and tennis court. However the cottage is very run down, threadbare, fraying carpets, frayed thin towels, old low quality bathroom sanitary ware, old furniture with stained cushion covers, dirt and cobwebs around the aga and other bits of the kitchen, some of the crockery not clean. Peeling paint on windows. We were misled by the 4.7 stars others had left and the 4 tick Sykes rating so I will not be able to trust this rating in future. The cottage needs full renovation and updating to reach a high standard. I would also suggest a floor plan is provided as we found it difficult too manage with 10 people as 2 of the bedrooms can only access the downstairs by going via one of the other bedrooms which we hadn't appreciated. It is also on a main road and is noisy.

This delightful, semi-detached cottage is ideally located within easy reach of the ancient town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The property has five lovely bedrooms, including one set on the ground floor and a master bedroom with en-suite facilities.

Highcroft is a house with 2 halves.

There are 2 staircases, one leading from the entrance hall to the master bedroom with an ensuite and a small room with a single bed with trundle bed under.

This room is an adjoining room between the 2 halves.The other staircase leads from the downstairs bedroom to the other landing with the family bathroom and 3 bedrooms, including the adjoining room leading off. The spacious, farmhouse-style kitchen offers a welcoming dining area, while the cosy sitting room is accompanied by a warming open fire.

In the summer, the patio doors can be swept open to invite inside a cooling breeze.

Outside, the large, private lawned garden is ideal for an alfresco feast, while a shared tennis court and a further 2.5 acres of unique wildlife gardens, shared with the adjoining holiday cottages, will be adored by all.

This cottage is located just two miles away from the medieval town of Stratford-upon-Avon, in 2.5 acres of shared grounds, including a wildlife garden and a tennis court. The property provides comfortable, versatile accommodation surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt countryside. Nearby, Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and the home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
