    “Owners live in adjoining property with shared garden gate, caretaker lives in house other side, new housing behind one garden fence, noisy main road (A422) behind another.”

    Disappointing stay and, unfortunately, a regretted choice. We paid £1,089 for three nights for nine family members, including children and dogs, to come together for a family holiday. Upon arrival there was no window in one of the rooms. A workman was there working on it and we were then asked if we minded if the workman returned the next day to finish the window. Being under the impression it would be for an hour and we wanted a secure window we said okay. However, the next day there were ...

    Disappointing stay and, unfortunately, a regretted choice. We paid £1,089 for three nights for nine family members, including children and dogs, to come together for a family holiday. Upon arrival there was no window in one of the rooms. A workman was there working on it and we were then asked if we minded if the workman returned the next day to finish the window. Being under the impression it would be for an hour and we wanted a secure window we said okay. However, the next day there were people in the garden doing gardening and the workman working on another window of the bedroom my 13 and 15year old daughters were literally in. I spoke to the workman who finished the window and left, only to receive a message from the owner asking if the workman could return to finish their project, inviting me round to discuss it and how it 'never occurred to them they could be in the way'. Not wanting conflict and to focus on enjoying the holiday we agreed the work could continue while we went out. There was also a significant fly infestation in the kitchen. We swatted more than 60 flies using the provided swatter during the stay, despite keeping doors and windows closed, and flies were continually present in the kitchen Overall, for £1,089, we expected a clean, private and uninterrupted family stay. Unfortunately, the ongoing works and fly infestation meant the property did not meet those expectations.

This delightful, semi-detached cottage is ideally located within easy reach of the ancient town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The property has five lovely bedrooms, including one set on the ground floor and a master bedroom with en-suite facilities.

Highcroft is a house with 2 halves.

There are 2 staircases, one leading from the entrance hall to the master bedroom with an ensuite and a small room with a single bed with trundle bed under.

This room is an adjoining room between the 2 halves.The other staircase leads from the downstairs bedroom to the other landing with the family bathroom and 3 bedrooms, including the adjoining room leading off. The spacious, farmhouse-style kitchen offers a welcoming dining area, while the cosy sitting room is accompanied by a warming open fire.

In the summer, the patio doors can be swept open to invite inside a cooling breeze.

Outside, the large, private lawned garden is ideal for an alfresco feast, while a shared tennis court and a further 2.5 acres of unique wildlife gardens, shared with the adjoining holiday cottages, will be adored by all.

This cottage is located just two miles away from the medieval town of Stratford-upon-Avon, in 2.5 acres of shared grounds, including a wildlife garden and a tennis court. The property provides comfortable, versatile accommodation surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt countryside. Nearby, Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and the home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The town offers horse racing and many typically Tudor buildings at every turn, housing a very good selection of cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs serving real ales and excellent food. Many footpaths and cycling trails can easily be found nearby should you wish to stretch your legs and the beautiful Cotswolds are also within easy reach, making this the perfect place for a relaxing break at any time of year.
