“We had a wonderful stay!”
The sheep, the ducks and geese, the lake. A much needed stress relief.
It was a great location and good enough accommodation for a week's stay, though we found a few things were lacking. Gave 4 stars as the below issues are not really issues - just perhaps things that need to be looked at and considered.

Upon arriving, the hot tub had a super strong eggy smell and when we lifted the cover, grime and dirt, and likely body oils from other guests were covering the hot tub surface in a layer of film, and the bottom in a layer of grime. A bit disappointing as the property was booked almost specifically for the hot tub. It is understandable that hot tub water cannot be changed between every guest, but it had likely been a while...
The kettle was covered in an oily layer and when boiling water, it was clear that the kettle was an old one! Did not use and boiled water in a pan which was a weird one.
No microwave, which wasn't explicitly mentioned, but was not specifically omitted as photos are accurate and I should have been more observant.
There were a LOT of ants. On every surface of the kitchen and dining table - ant. Yes, bugs are to be expected on a lovely rural retreat such as this, but so many indicate an issue of some sort.
The provided sugar was dirty and had specks of food and dirt in the pot and was also almost empty - quickly rectified by a drive to the nearest shop, so not a huge issue, just a bit of an inconvenience when your cup of tea has already been made!
The cutlery had not been washed with all most things covered in dry and caked on food. This would be down to the previous guests being lazy and the owner having good trust that they would clean them as instructed. Resolved by literally just washing them up ourselves so not a huge issue, just a little gross.
The fridge...oof...small and no freezer compartment. And the dial that controls the temp must be for decoration - either all of the food and vegetables froze, or everything was warm and room temp. It very well may have been my user error, but we were there for a week and tried each setting.
As the pod is small, the bathroom lacks a window. It is made up for with an extractor fan, but there is a very clear smell of damp and visible mould along the baseboard. Opening the bathroom door and pod door after a shower certainly helps, but is a bit of a bother.
