“This is a truly fantastic place to stay.”

Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, a luxurious and spotlessly clean accommodation and helpful and responsive owner. We stayed here as a family of 4 (children 4 and 7) and found it to be spacious and extremely comfortable. Lots to see and do nearby but we loved playing and relaxing in the huge field best. Would recommend- added extras such as a fan helped in the warm weather. Consider bringing your own: hand soap, washing up liquid, pizza cutter, air fryer for added convenience.

“Beautiful setting, clean and beautifully presented property.”

Incredibly comfy bed and lovely linen and towels. A slightly better stocked kitchen, or clarity on what is provided would be good - an oven proof dish would be a good addition, and basics such as olive oil. Also the container for washing up liquid was tiny and had to be rationed so a bit more would have been good. Otherwise absolutely perfect and I would definitely return

“Lovely well appointed lodge perfect for 4 people.”

Great view from the picture window and massive enclosed grassy area for kids to play safely. Comfy beds and a sofa bed if needed. 6 of everything in the kitchen was great. Some coat hooks and a kitchen roll was all we missed in our 3 night stay at Leadon View.

“This is my second and third visit and I went back because I just love it there.”

“What a fantastic 4 nights we've just spent at Leadon View Willow.”

From start to finish the booking, communication then accommodation was spot on, nothing to even remotely complain about. The pod was do clean, modern and a lovely little welcome pack left on the table. The setting of these Pods has been well worked out and the views are to die for, so peaceful. “The hosts were lovely from start to finish, sending helpful, friendly reminders about check in/check out.”

We were welcomed into the accommodation with a lovely spread of teas/coffees with a few treats, as well as a lovely little folder giving us all of the information we’d need for our stay, from the Wi-Fi password, to local walk routes, to suggestions for a nice meal out. The accommodation was superbly clean, with all furniture, fixtures and fittings dirt, and mark-free. The surrounding views are stunning, being located directly adjacent to a horse paddock, as well as working farm fields; perfect for someone interested in the farming process. The location makes it silent during the nighttime, perfect for a great nights’ sleep in the comfy beds. We will definitely be returning in the future, thank you for hosting this lovely location

Beautiful scenery and a great location. A very peaceful place. Only thing I'd add to the lodge is maybe some more outdoor lighting as it's very dark on a night and also some coat hooks could be handy. Other than that a perfect place to stay and would definitely stay again

“My husband & I had a wonderful week stay at Leadon View Willow.”

One of only 2 superbly built lodges, which are enclosed within a large lawned & fenced area. Surrounded by green fields, which are often home to beautiful horses, which are so well cared for. The accommodation has a king size bed & a separate bedroom with 2 single beds. Reasonably sized lounge/kitchen, which is well equipped. Also a great shower in the bathroom. Central heating is fitted, however was not needed, as the lodge was lovely and warm, during our September stay. We also had our Cocker Spaniel with us and he was well at home. An extremely clean & modern lodge, which we highly recommend as a base for exploring the Forest of Dean.

“Stayed for 4 nights in August - lovely peaceful location and in a secure field which was ideal for our Dog to run around and look at the horses in the adjacent field.”

Accommodation was comfortable, clean and cosy. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Plenty of places to visit within a short drive - would highly recommend and would book again.

“This is a beautiful lodge/ pod set in idyllic surroundings.”

We really loved the peace and quiet of the location. My little girl fell in love with the horses in the next field. The property is furnished beautifully and was very comfortable. It is located within driving distance of Gloucester which is a great town for exploring- including a good selection of eating places at Gloucester Quays. There’s a lovely Chinese takeaway in Newent also. Over Farm is great for children as another close by location and we ventured to Winchcombe to ride a steam train. The owner is polite, helpful and responsive to any questions you might have. There isn’t a lot of storage for belongings so be mindful of this when packing. We will definitely be back. Thank you

“Clear instructions sent before arrival and we easily found the lodge.”

The lodge itself is well equipped, very comfortable and is well maintained. It's in a beautiful, very peaceful location and was a great base for us to visit the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival. Lovely watching the horses in the evening. Our border doodle enjoyed his dog treats on arrival as much as we enjoyed the biscuits!

“Beautiful and peaceful little place to stay !”

Spotless , great shower and comfy beds . Gorgeous view from the bedroom window in the morning of horses grazing and open fields . Our little Westie could run free in the fenced field and loved the doggy treats. We visited lots of places within 20mins to an hour, Symonds Yat , Abergavenny , Ross on Wye , Monmouth , Hay on Wye (popped into festival) and Broadway in Cotswolds , all easy drives . Will definitely be back !

The accommodation was first rate, the welcome gift had treats for my dog. The owners were friendly and nothing was too much trouble happy to share recommendations for food etc. the fully enclosed field made the stay so relaxing and there is even a poo bin. Looking forward to staying again in the future. Highly recommend.

NEWENT

Gloucester 8 miles; Ledbury 8 miles; Ross-on-Wye 9 miles.

One of the most attractive market towns in the Vale of Leadon, Newent, formerly a Roman settlement, offers a wide range of attractions, including the half timbered Old Market Hall dating back to 1668, traditional inns, restaurants, tea rooms and individual shops. Newent is situated on the northern edge of the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering numerous trails that can be explored on foot, bicycle or horseback. Just a short drive away is the popular Three Choirs Vineyard and the delightful waterfront city of Gloucester with its Roman foundations, Victorian docklands and a spectacular Norman Cathedral. The historic market town of Ross-on-Wye is also close by and visitors to this area can enjoy day trips to delightful Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains and the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park.
