The cottage, a converted barn was lovely, clean and comfortable although as expected with older buildings did have a few critters for company!

My biggest concern though was the lack of anywhere to walk my dog without getting back in the car and driving elsewhere. One nearby permissive footpath had the gate chained and padlocked so no access. People need to be aware of this if they are expecting to be able to walk a dog without driving every day. A very quiet retreat for relaxing but not a dog friendly area.

The Bothy was comfortable, lovely bed,the shower was very small and a large person might find it difficult although it was nice and hot.

The kitchen had everything you might need. The living room was comfortable, but the tv was tiny and any writing on the screen was difficult to read from where we were sat.Outside was fine ,the dog loved it.We would consider staying there again. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. A small welcome gift would have been nice like other owners do,the cleaner did a good job low down but up above there were some cobwebs. I would give The Bothy 8 out of 10.

We enjoyed our stay at The Bothy.

We were made very welcome and were comfortable in every way. It made an ideal base for places we wanted to visit. Our stay was a happy one.
