“The property is as described, the setting is beautiful, tranquil and very well maintained in a natural way.”

The property is immaculate and the welcome pack of bread, eggs, teabags and milk a lovely touch. There is enough wifi to send and receive WhatsApp messages and I did manage a phone call in the garden. Essential for us as we had teenagers at home we wanted to be contactable for. The one big downside was the bed. I accept thiis is a personal perfences but neither myself nor my wife have back problems but did after the first night. The mattress is an open coil incredibly soft one that left both of us unable to sleep well due to discomfort. We put the mattress on the floor for the second night which helped. In doing so we noticed the frame of the bed had two large notice boards, still with drawing pins in them, acting as a base for the mattress which certainly didn't given much support. I'm happy to accept looking at other reviews that this isn't a problem for others but if you do have any back issues this is certainly not the place to stay. If the mattress were to be upgraded I would return in a heart beat but as it stands we are returning home more tired than Iwe arrived. Such a shame Jackdaws roost is perfect in evry other way.
