    “Upon arrival, the WiFi was down.”

    I called and was told they could get someone out at the earliest the day after at 10am. No one ever arrived. The cleanliness of the property is what really ruined our special weekend for my brother’s wedding. There were leftover crisps on the rug in both the living room and master bedroom, there were cobwebs and dead spiders in most corners and across walls, furniture and rugs hadn’t been moved and cleaned so if anything moved, a lot of dirt was revealed and there were bugs everywhere ...

    I called and was told they could get someone out at the earliest the day after at 10am. No one ever arrived. The cleanliness of the property is what really ruined our special weekend for my brother’s wedding. There were leftover crisps on the rug in both the living room and master bedroom, there were cobwebs and dead spiders in most corners and across walls, furniture and rugs hadn’t been moved and cleaned so if anything moved, a lot of dirt was revealed and there were bugs everywhere including spiders in corners and woodlouse in bathrooms. Cleanliness is the most important factor when booking accommodation so I can confidently say I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I gave this feedback when enquiring about the WiFi and was asked to email photos so they could speak to the housekeeper who had cleaned the property. I sent the photos and have heard nothing back.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations, particularly as you were visiting the area for such an important family occasion. We were disappointed to learn of the concerns raised regarding the property's cleanliness and appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. When you contacted us during your stay, we offered a same-day re-clean, however we understand that this was inconvenient due to the wedding plans. Following your feedback, we have arranged for a full inspection of the property and are reviewing the housekeeping standards to ensure the high standards expected by our guests are maintained. We also apologise for the issues you experienced with the WiFi. Whilst we had intended to attend the property to provide additional support, we were unfortunately unable to do so and, more importantly, failed to keep you updated. We recognise that this was frustrating and fell short of the level of service we aim to provide. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where improvements are needed. We are sorry that your experience did not reflect the standard we strive to deliver and thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. Kind regards, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

About the location

NORTHLEACH

Bourton on the water 5.5 miles; Stow-on-the-wold 9.1 miles;

Northleach is just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.
