We loved our stay.

The facilities were exactly as described and suited our needs perfectly. Location was perfect as a base from which we could explore the Cotswolds. The owners were extremely helpful and very responsive.

We loved it.

Very comfortable. If it had been warmer weather we would have liked our own sitting out area with a tables and chairs which we had anticipated. As it happens it wasn't suitable weather. One tiny moan: No shower gel which these days is normally supplied; we had to go out to buy some on arrival.

Lovely property.

Very well maintained and beautifully clean. Comfortable and well equipped. Recommend eating at The Butcher's Arms, particularly for Sunday lunch. Met farmer Dan who was very friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at Farm View Lodge, the cottage was cosy and extremely comfortable.

One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in, and it was helpful to have the owners on site for any issues we may have had. The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful but also very central for all the places we wanted to visit . Thank you for the biscuits and milk on arrival, much appreciated.

Excellent in every respect.

Very comfortable and cosy. Well appointed throughout. Vitally, the mattresses were perfect. Warm welcome from our hostess, who also very kindly let us pick apples from her apple tree. Would recommend this accommodation as a perfect base for exploring the lower Cotswolds, including over to the Forest of Dean and Gloucester.

We had a really lovely time.

Quiet location and a perfect setting for 3 people. I think the only downside and that's our fault for not understanding was where the outside seating would be. When we wanted to use it the other property were holding a BBQ party. Thank you for having us.

We have just returned home from a fantastic 4 night stay at Farm View Lodge, Painswick and would highly recommend.

The Lodge is very clean and comfortable with fantastic views over the working farm and hillsides. Location is great for long days of fun and exploration with places like Bath, Cheltenham and Castle Combe easy to get to by car. Dan and Steph are very nice and Ted the dog is lovely.

We stayed in Painswick because we were attending a wedding and booking this cottage was perfect.

The cottage was spotless with comfortable beds. Even though the cottage is on a farm there were no smells.The only complaint we had was the mirrors in the en-suits were a little high for us to see through but we are not very tall. Dan and Steph were very friendly and welcoming also was Ted the collie so we had a very enjoyable stay.

Bright, airy and comfortable flat with views over the farm shed rooves to the fields and hills across the valley.

Good facilities, nicely decorated, conveniently located for Stroud, Gloucester, and country walks. Would recommend.

Very comfortable place and well equipped (could have done with a casserole dish inorder to cook the meal we brought with us for the 1st evening).

Very clean. Dishwasher needs topping up with salt and rinse aid.

5 minule walk into the village. Enjoyed playing with Ted, the collie. Favorite pub was in Sheepcombe.

Stayed for 3 nights.

On arrival we were welcomed by the hosts who were very friendly and accommodating but not intrusive. Close proximity to the farm was not a problem and didn't smell. The cottage was spotless. We liked the fact that both bedrooms had en-suites. Even though the cottage is by the side of the main road we couldn’t hear the traffic. 5 minute walk into picturesque Painswick was great with a choice of cafes. The only single negative was poor internet connection. Thanks to Dan and Steph for a lovely relaxing stay.

We had a fantastic time at Farm View Lodge during late April.

Just a few minutes walk from Painswick town centre, it is enough in the sticks to see hill and fields all round. Walk out of the door and few strides enables to view the cows and horses that are kept on the farm. Dan and Steph are living on the farm and are very friendly. Their sheep dog Ted is well behaved and a delight. The premsies itself is all on one level accesed up a gravel drive. It is almost step free, just a small lip. Inside you find two bedrooms, both ensuite with showers. The kitchen is big enough for 4/5 people, and well fitted, with all you need. There is even a big freezer in the basement, alongside the laundry items. The lounge is comfortable. The TV isnt smart but a break is often worthwhile, there is WiFi if you need it. We found it a great place to relax with space outdoors and easy access to all the local attractions. We would love to stay agin if we come back this way.

Lovely house.

Rather thought from the photos that it would be more "on the farm" , with a bit of access to land. It is right next to a main road. However the house was of a high quality, very well equipped and warm. And the fact that Painswick village centre was a 5min walk became a bonus as it has lots to offer(arts cafe, charity shop, two good pubs and the most amazing church yard and, of course, fab Rococo Gardens, superb.

Had a lovely stay.

Cottage was clean in a great location. Only reason for dropping one star is that the WiFi was virtually non-existent. I understand that this can be an issue in rural areas but this should be made clear in the listing.

Welcoming hosts, amazing accommodation, which is really spacious.

So for three of us, very easy to chill and so could stay in or go out, as didn't need to feel you had to leave to get any space. Location, great as a base to visit the cotswolds. Very pleased we picked for our Christmas break. WiFi needs a boost, so great place to go off grid as mobile reception low too. However, my Sky puck worked no problems.

An excellent Lodge offering comfort, cosiness and all the amenities you need.

Perfectly situated to visit places of interest or to simply relax in the local area. The owners are very friendly and are at hand if you need anything. I would certainly return to the Lodge and recommend it to family and friends.

This is a very comfortable, light and spacious cottage, set in a wonderful landscape.

The owners are welcoming and helpful. A great place to stay - only a short walk from the centre of Painswick.

A lovely property providing all that was needed but found it frustrating that the internet was not at all reliable.

Therefore I was unable to contact friends and look things up when I needed to!

found the furniture in the lounge a little low for my comfort but otherwise a very pleasant place to stay.

A beautiful cottage within walking distance of a lovely, unspoilt village plenty to see and do.

A real treat staying here.

Beautifully appointed and extremely clean. We had everything we needed. Was met by the owner as we came through the gate. Having them on site was a bonus. They turned the central heating on for us as the evenings were getting a little chilly. Tea coffee milk and biscuits were very welcomed find when we arrived. Painswick lovely and near enough to Stroud for shopping. We'll be back!

The owners Dan and Steph were very welcoming both before and during our stay.

The lodge was very clean and well equipped. It is in a good location and there are lovely views from the lounge windows. Plenty of places to visit nearby

First class accommodation and surroundings, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Steph & Dan were great hosts and my little boy made friends with Ted the dog. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this property and location

Welcomed on arrival, no immediate problems with accommodation.

Everything as expected, pleased with accommodation, would be happy to go again. The only concern we had was the exit by car from the site onto what was a reasonably fast main road. The exit was restricted by a high hedge on both sides which bordered the edge of the road. There is no pavement which would have allowed the front of the car to exit the site sufficiently for the driver to see what traffic was coming. It would have been helpful if the hedge was cut back or a mirror placed across the road, giving a sight of oncoming traffic.

Really enjoyed our stay, location Ideal for trips out.

Dan and Steph. very obliging. Could do with a few coat hooks, not a problem in warm weather but would be useful when weather cool enough for coats..

Mention should be made that there is a gravel slope up to the door of the cottage, we are both in our 80's and found this tricky.

The Lodge was immaculate - we loved our stay there.

We only met Dan, but he was so helpful and really good to speak to. The only thing that could be improved is without their control, ie. good wi-fi and mobile phone reception. Makes us realise how lucky we are as "townies". We did manage however - standing close to the kitchen or lounge window - it was adequate.

A warm and comfortable lodge in a quiet farm setting with good parking, located just a few minutes walk from the village centre. The owners, Steph and Dan, were welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

Relaxing and homely - the perfect getaway!

We absolutely loved our time away at Farm View Lodge. A fabulous home-from-home and very friendly and hospitable hosts Dan and Steph. The lodge was ideal - very nicely furnished and well appointed - and made for a worry free, relaxing break away. The farm itself was fabulous - and Dan’s tour of the farm was really informative and great to see the cows up close. Our little girl also loved playing with Ted the collie - a real highlight of her stay! Thanks Dan and Steph - a real Cotswold gem - and I’m sure we’ll be back!
