Well now I know why all past reviews are five stars .

What a fabulous cottage , so well equipped, spotlessly clean and stunning views . And a very lovely welcome pack thank you.

A super cottage in a wonderful location for exploring the Malvern Hills.

There is direct access to the hills for lovely walking. It's a short drive (10 minutes) to Great Malvern, a lovely spa town, worth exploring and also has good access for walking the other end of the hills. The cottage has been maintained to a very high standard, with everything provided for, including a very nice welcome basket! The garden is beautiful and very well kept - perfect for sitting and admiring the wonderful views. There are a good selection of places to eat in Great Malvern and others a short drive from the cottage. If you prefer eating in, then everything is provided for at the cottage. The only thing we felt missing was the availability of a fan. (We were there during the heatwave when the heat in the bedroom became extreme!). Overall, we had a super time and would definitely return.

Beautiful clean well stocked cottage, great location for walking in the hills.

This is an outstanding property in every way.

A brilliant location for exploring the Malvern area, with fantastic views from the bedroom and beautiful garden (bursting with greenery and not weed in sight!). Geoffrey and Glynn have furnished and equipped it to the highest quality and have thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay. A home from home indeed!

This really is an exceptionally lovely cottage.

It's in a super position to enjoy the long distance views from the rear while still being able to easily walk to access the Malvern Hills. That in itself makes it perfect, but the hosts take it to the next level. They have thought of everything to make your stay a total pleasure. The garden is an absolute delight, while still being totally dog escape proof. The cottage is on a quiet road, so all you hear from a very comfortable bed are the birds. We've had a really lovely holiday and intend to return in the autumn.

What a beautiful and cosy cottage.

Lovely and warm on our arrival. And a welcome basket and treats for the dog. Eggs,milk, butter also supplied. Everywhere was immaculate, the bed extremely comfy, and every amenity you could need. We enjoyed great views from the cottage, including the Malvern Hills which were close by. Everywhere is within easy reach. Morrisons a 5 min drive away and a great selection of shops in town an approx 10 min drive. We drove and parked at Gardeners Quarry, and took a brisk and windy walk to the top. The views were spectacular. We had Xmas lunch at the Bluebell Inn which was lovely. And later in our stay we ate at the Nag's Head. All in all we had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. We would love to visit again.

This was our fifth visit so you can tell how much we love this particular property and Malvern. And I have no doubt we will be back again next year.

Many properties have pictures that promise more than they deliver.

In this case, if anything, the opposite is true. I took another look at the pictures, and they are fair representations. However, I don’t think that the sheer charm of the place can be sufficiently represented in a few photographs. What we found when we arrived was an immaculately kept property, newly renovated with high quality finishes throughout. A great deal of love has gone into it’s curation, and we continued to find attentive details at every turn. We were reluctant to book a dog friendly property because I have fairly strong pet allergies. My comfort here is a testament to the impeccable cleanliness of this home. I can’t think of a single thing missing in the kitchen, equipped for a culinary standard high above our own. The only slight critique I might offer is that I had to research how to operate the oven: the owner’s manual would have been helpful. That said, the research was worth the effort. This extensively equipped kitchen inspired me to cook one of my most ambitious dinners, a wonderful highlight for a romantic birthday evening. It is a charming property located on a quiet street and has a beautifully planted private garden with two seating areas and a view to match. The owners have multiple passions, and you are offered a glimpse of these when you stay at this property. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend.

This was our second September visit to Prospect Cottage and again we were very lucky with the weather.

The views out of the bedroom in the morning are simply stunning and looking up the hill onto the Malverns you realise that they are literally a stone’s throw away. This cottage is an absolute gem, so warm and cosy on the colder evenings but during the day the garden is a sun trap, gorgeous. A very generous welcome hamper but everything has been thought of and covered, thank you Geoffrey and Glynn, a wonderful week away from it all!

We have previously stayed in a few Sykes Cottages and the last two had been very disappointing.

We had not ventured back for a couple of years because of this. Prospect Cottage blew us away. It’s a beautifully furnished property and we felt the hosts had thought of everything to make it a comfortable stay. There was a lovely welcome hamper which even included a treat for the dog. Some butter and milk in the fridge. I liked that there was bottle water by the bed. The vibe was very relaxing, we loved the garden and the view from the rear of the house. We would go again as we liked it so much.

Prospect Cottage is simply beautiful.

5 star luxury, a peaceful haven surrounded by stunning views and a beautiful garden. From the moment we opened the gate we knew it was going to be special. Trailing wisteria welcomed us in. A beautiful well stocked hamper of local produce & a chew for Bryn which she loved. The house is beautifully furnished throughout, character at every turn. You just couldn’t help but relax. Thankyou for making our stay in the hills extra special-it was just perfect.

Prospect Cottage is the nicest cottage in which we have stayed.

It felt like a home with fully equipped kitchen - comfy bed, lovely bathrooms, pretty garden and super walks around the area. Enjoyed Tewkesbury, Upton, Ledbury and can recommend The Oak for Sunday Lunch. The welcome basket was much appreciated. You won't go wrong if you book this cottage.

We visit the Malvern and Cotswolds twice a year and have stayed at many cottages in the area.

This is the first time we have rented a cottage for a second stay, after deciding to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary in Prospect Cottage (previously staying there in 2022). We were not disappointed as we had a lovely stay again in this lovely cosy cottage. Prospect Cottage is spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Wonderful views and lovely walks direct from the cottage. Many thanks to the owners for letting Prospect Cottage to us......we may very well make it a hat trick soon!

Prospect Cottage is a delight - comfortable, extremely well-equipped kitchen and a luxurious bathroom.

It is ideally ideally positioned for exploring the Malvern Hills and surrounding area. This was our fourth visit and I'm just about to book it up again for next year!

Lovely cottage that has all the comfort you need.

Thank you to the owners for the lovely welcome pack and information shared prior to our stay. We have two dogs and loved the local nature reserve for off lead walks. Plenty of other walks nearby which we tried. The Oak Inn at Staplow is great for food and dog friendly. Only minor addition would be access to a small vacuum to keep up the high standards.

Really a top class cottage, well equipped, comfortable, welcoming and beautifully curated.

A real pleasure to stay there.The kitchen is a cooks dream - even has a garlic press and olive-stoner! And there are fresh herbs just outside the door. There are walks from the door, and a nature reserve (dog friendly) not far away. Gt Malvern, Ledbury and Worcester worth a visit too. Thank you to Glynn and Geoff for the hospitality, and being willing to share it.

We loved Prospect cottage.

Had a fabulous relaxed break with our 2 dogs. We were cosy and comfortable. The decoration and little touches were gorgeous. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. And then the garden!! A lovely sunny spot and beautifully planted and maintained. We were lucky it was spring so each day new flowers and bulbs were emerging. We would highly recommend!! Thanks

Prospect cottage is all you could ask for a real home from home and the welcome hamper is a really lovely touch with all the necessities you need even a jar of treats for your dog.

Absolutely stunning cottage in a fabulous location.

Spotlessly clean and one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. The owners had literally thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable- lots of nice touches such as fresh flowers, handmade soap and a fabulous welcome hamper . The only “better ifs” are minor - we would have liked access to a vacuum as we were there for a week and also a guest guide with instructions and hints and tips would be helpful, however the owner did call in advance and gave us lots of helpful recommendations . We would highly recommend and would definitely return, we were there in November and the weather was kind but in warmer weather it would be lovely to sit in the garden with a glass of wine and a bbq

It is just so clean ,comfortable and well equipped (best kitchen I've ever come across in a holiday cottage), and makes an ideal base for exploring the Malvern Hills and surrounding area. I expect we will be back next year.......

A superb cottage in a great setting.

One of the best appointed holiday lets we have ever stayed in, not only was the property perfect for our needs, well equipped and presented but the location was too!

From the welcome pack on arrival (which Geoff personally made the extra effort to alter as we are both non-drinkers) to the supremely well kitted-out kitchen, bathrooms and without doubt THE most comfortable bed either of us has ever slept in! Outside is a lovely little courtyard for sunny morning breakfasts and down the garden a decking area for evening relaxing watching the colourful paragliders lazily passing overhead. Stunning view across to the Cotswolds in the distance make for some great photo opportunities too. The location was ideal for exploring the Malvern's and surrounding areas and only a mile from the Three Counties Show Ground should you time your stay for one of the many events that go on over the year. Based at the foot of the Malvern Hills themselves it is ideally situated for keen walkers, dog owners and mountain bikers, just a five minute walk up the road and you're on the trails up the hills for what are some of the best views anywhere. We have had the best two weeks hear and could have stayed longer, no hesitation in recommending Geoff & Glynn's lovely cottage to anyone!

Simply the best!

We had a wonderful week staying in Glynn and Geoff's beautiful cottage. They have thought of everything needed and it was beautifully presented and decorated, with a pretty garden, but also really dog friendly. Such a great location with walking onto the Malverns from the door and lots to do in the local area. We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this really was among the best. Thank you for a great week.

A really special place to stay - extremely well equipped and the standard of the fittings generally exceptional - e.

g. sinks, showers, cooker, etc. The only thing that fooled us for a day was the "games under the table" note! But we did find them eventually!!. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable - so, too, the upstairs bathroom. A more prominent note giving wifi details would have helped but this was not really a problem. Would have spent more time in the garden if the weather had been better behaved!! All in all we couldn't fault it, so thank you Glyn and Geoff.

This Cottage is one of loveliest places we have stayed.

Very dog friendly and relaxing if that is what you’re looking for . So clean and comfortable the garden and views are amazing too. Cottage has all the facilities you could possibly require . Walks on your doorstep and plenty of places to visit and explore . We would love to return in the future. Thank you to the hosts very approachable and friendly.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and very well equipped.

The owners had ensured everything we'd need was available. The welcome gift featuring regional produce was a thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. The area is fantastic, close to National Trust properties and being so close to the Malverns there are walks on the doorstep. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

Gorgeous cottage, beautiful throughout.

Lovely fixtures and fittings. Unfortunately central heating boiler broke down and took 2 days to repair, therefore no heating or hot water, not recommended during an extremely wet and cold November. Apparently we found out this was an ongoing problem and had not been corrected prior to rental. Also check the garden, as this was definitely not dog-proof. Holiday terminated early due to these problems.

Fantastic stay at Prospect Cottage.

The cottage was immaculate and well stocked. The owners obviously take great pride in this property. Lovely location with beautiful views. Very dog friendly with walks on the doorstep (St Wulstans recommended). Will hopefully be returning in the future.

! We were blessed with perfect weather. Not TOO hot as had 2 dogs. The cottage was quite cool due to orientation. Wonderfully decorated and appointed with quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely garden too.

The only suggestion we would make is - have the living room facing the back garden - have the dining room facing the front.

We had a fantastic holiday at Prospect Cottage.

The property is exceptional, from the owners attention to detail, to the location. Everything we could have wanted in a holiday cottage was provided. Beth our springer spaniel especially enjoyed her stay, with early morning walks up Black Hill. Thankyou to you both.

My wife I must say is very fussy with cleanliness and she could not fault how we found this cottage. All the equipment was first class including very good Wi-Fi access. Thank you for the Welcome tray. We would definitely like to return one day.

Glynn and Geoff have a beautifully decorated and comfortable home.

They were very generous with goodies left and lots of firewood. They had an outdoor hose for cleaning my dogs and were genuinely hospitalable to my furry friends. The views on a clear day were great and the garden a pleasure to be in.

It felt very homely. Lovely welcome pack for us and our dog. Flowers in the lounge and dining room a really nice touch. We would definitely stay again.

I can honestly say that we have never stayed at a better self-catering cottage.

The owners must work in the hospitality industry, because even the smallest detail was taken into consideration, from the selection of local beers and wines in the larder, to the hamper of eggs, milk and other sundries on arrival, to the perfectly pressed white bed linen and towels, to the individually rolled squares of newspaper to assist with lighting the stove. The decoration and standard of fittings are faultless. It is a warm, supremely comfortable cottage with tall views of the sunrise from the bedroom, and the Malvern hills just a few steps away from the door. We could not have asked for more. Thank you Glynn and Geoffrey!

We’ve had an excellent week in this cottage.

It is characterfully colourful and immaculate. The hosts generously provided a welcome tray which included many local products. There was a full basket of logs for the fire which we used each evening. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, very well equipped. In the warmer weather there are places to eat in the pretty sloping garden. The sunrises from the east facing bedroom and dining room were spectacular. We would happily return to this area, the Malvern hills are a short walk from the door.

We would like to let you know what a wonderful stay we had at the cottage.

A beautiful part of the world and even more so was the amazingly presented cottage. We loved it and hope to return someday. It was even better than anticipated. We thank Geoff/Glynn for the welcome pack and welcoming for the dogs made it even more special. A less of a worry, knowing they had some of their own! Was just a perfect way to see in the New Year.

This cottage was an absolute delight in every single aspect.

It was immaculate, cosy, in a quiet location but within 5-10 minutes of hills, shops and cafes that, nice as they all were, took some motivation to get out to, given how absolutely wonderful it was to stay snuggled up inside with the well stocked treats and wine that was a really nice surprise on arrival! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this as a 5 star place to stay away.

An absolutely stunning house with high quality design and finish.

The cleanest and best equipped holiday cottage we have rented. Lovely view of the sunrise, and the garden was good for us and the dogs who much appreciated all the dog friendly facilities and extras and also the walk along the edge of woodland pretty much from the door. Near to the hills and interesting towns such as Ledbury and Upton.

Really lovely, comfortable, cottage, beautifully decorated with just about everything you might need for a cosy, relaxing stay.

The location is quiet with a lovely terrace, garden and views across the vale. Direct walks up to the Malvern Hills from the front door whilst shops, pubs and restaurants are a short drive away. We really enjoyed our time at Prospect Cottage.

The view from the bedroom window is wonderful, and there are plenty of choices for walking nearby, some direct from the door.
