    “The cottage was nice and in a lovely setting , very quiet.”

    Although a few minor details were needing attention. Quite a lot of cobwebs on the beams downstairs, and a resident spider in the corner. Around the lights switches needs a repaint. No oven gloves or tea cosy, and also we found someone's bra left in the bedroom on arrival. Could not get the main heaters to work ??. Overall a nice property and stay but a few things need spoilt it for us.

The property

Bobble Cottage is a charming Cotswold cottage that is gorgeous and contemporary, and in our opinion is perfect for couples seeking for a weekend getaway.

The house offers off-road parking for one car and is situated in a tranquil area of the lovely Cotswold village of Little Rissington.

A good-sized bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is located upstairs in the open-plan, ground-floor of the house.

Bobble Cottage is extremely well-presented, with comfort playing a key role in its allure.

As you might expect, there are wonderful walks just outside your front door.

You can choose to stroll up the hill for some breath-taking views, or you can choose to walk down the hill to Bourton on the Water, which will take you approximately 30 minutes on foot or less than 5 minutes by car.

Its prime position makes it the perfect launching point for exploring the many National Trust gardens and sites.

About the location

LITTLE RISSINGTON

Bourton-on-the-Water 2 miles; Stow-on-the-Wold 5 miles.

Little Rissington is a quiet village outside the popular destination of Bourton-on-the-Water, Little Rissington is worth visiting for its 12th century church with its moving memorial to RAF servicemen. The village styling is typical for the Cotswolds; small cottages fronted by flower-boxes.

Associations are always made between the village and RAF Little Rissington, the air base which was located relatively close. The base is gone now, though buildings still remain and have now become the new village of Upper Rissington, and the aerodrome is now used for hang-gliding.

The main attraction is the 12th century church, which lies apart from the village up a short path to the west of the road. On Pound Lane is a row of Cotswold stone cottages described as perhaps the best example in Gloucestershire of 17th century vernacular building.
