Whites Farm Barn is absolutely stunning and probably one of the best barn conversions we have seen.
Set deep within the countryside the property offers a real countryside experience and yet is within a convenient distance of one of the regions most delightful market towns - Ledbury.
Internally the barn is presented in a welcoming and attractive open plan style, with large open spaces displaying the oak beams and original 'cross windows'.
These period features mix beautifully with some contemporary touches such as underfloor heating.
There is also the added benefit of a ground floor bedroom and bathroom.
Externally the barn has an enclosed garden to the front and enjoys a lovely location situated down a quite lane within a little hamlet.
The owner provides a super welcome basket (and maybe a little homemade Perry!!) and informs us that you can now order Waitrose deliveries to your door.
This is an excellent choice for those who like quality, space and something a little historic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Three bedrooms: 1 x king size double, 1 x double with sofa, 1 x ground floor twin.
Ground floor bathroom with large walk-in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail, bathroom with bath, handheld shower, WC and basin.
Living room with dining area.
About the location
Hereford 15 miles.
The ancient market town of Ledbury, dating back to 960 AD, nestles under the Malvern Hills east of Hereford, surrounded by unspoilt English countryside. Ledbury lies on the River Leadon and is famous for its numerous timbered buildings, namely Ledbury Park, believed to be one the finest Black and White buildings in England, the 17th century Market House in the town centre and The Painted Room, home to 16th century frescoes. Many music, art and food and drink festivals can be enjoyed in the town and the surrounding area throughout the year where samples of local produce can be enjoyed. Nearby is Eastnor Castle, a fine example of a mock 19th century castle, and numerous festivals are held in Eastnor Park. Close by is the historic city of Hereford with its 11th century cathedral, world famous Mappi Mundi and Chained Library. Malvern offers guests many lovely walks along the hills, a luxurious spa and for the car enthusiasts the Morgan Motor Company. Guests can also enjoy the local vineyards, travel along the Elgar Route, visit the Black and White villages and enjoy the many outdoor activities available in the Forest of Dean and beautiful Wye Valley. A great holiday destination at any time of year.
Note: There is a good housekeeping bond of £150.
Note: Wifi Internet available - but please be aware that this is a rural area, and the speed may not be what you are used to.
Note: Strictly Babes in arms or children aged 5 + ONLY.
Note: The underfloor heating is set at a constant level of warmth (dependent on the time of year naturally!) and is included within your price. Any additional requirements may be charged by the owner separately, at cost.
