Good base, well furnished and comfortable accommodation

Enjoyed our stay.

Property was clean in all but the high ceilings and rafters where the cobwebs have taken over. Facilities were excellent and overall it was very comfortable.

Personally I’m not a fan of the air fresheners, and it was too strong for me on arrival.

l also thought the bed sheets smelled too strong and could be an issue for some people. Could have been slightly cleaner in a couple of places, but very minor. Overall very happy and would go back

The Stable is a comfortable and cosy property.

The layout inside has been thoughtfully considered: two bedrooms either end with a generously sized, combined kitchen and living room between. It was ideally placed for us to explore some of the surrounding countryside and Cheltenham. It is also conveniently situated for Cam & Dursley Railway Station, less than 10 minutes drive away. We came with two dogs. The immediate vicinity was not ideal for them as, though the garden is secure, it is made up of concrete, gravel and astroturf and the grass verge outside is right on the roadside. Fortunately, there are nearby countryside walks better suited to walking dogs: we went to Newark Park and walked up to the William Tyndale Monument, both near Wotton-Under-Edge.

Lovely property!

Would agree with other comments, lots of cobwebs everywhere and a few spiders, would be great if a little more attention to detail was considered. A working towel rail would be ideal and would prefer larger bath sheet towels than those provided. Overall, will be recommending to others when working in this location as ideal area, quiet and well priced. Would love to visit in summer to use the outside space.

We have stayed in a converted Dairy, a converted farmhouse, even an Applestore.

This is our first time in a converted Barn, and it didn't disappoint. Clean and tidy, warm and we even had a box of biscuits and a bottle of Bubbly

We had a lovely stay at the stable, good location & easy to find, spotlessly clean with all you needed for a home from home experience, we were welcomed with a box of biscuits & bttle of prosecco plus milk & orange juice Thank-you.

During our 5 day stay we visited many Cotswolds villages & The Rococo Gardens at Painswick which were beautiful & well worth a visit we also enjoyed an excellent meal at The Salmon Inn a short drive away. We would recommend The Stable & ourselves & our Shih-tzu Izzy had a throughly enjoyable stay.

Lovely cottage, nice quiet location, but close enough to local facilities.

Property was nicely converted and clean and tidy, plus points were the included coffee pods for the machine and wood for the fire which were really nice touches. The parking and out door space were great and the covered area means you can still sit out if it starts to rain as it did with us. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Very welcoming.

Great location for our needs. Comfortable. We had to miss a day due to car trouble but it didn't dampen too much of our week there. Will most likely go back in the future.

The Stable was everything we hoped for, very clean, very comfortable, great location & more than enough crockery, cutlery, pots & pans.

Everything worked well, Wi-Fi & TV’s etc…. The outdoor space was really good especially the generous covered area for dining complete with comfortable dining chairs & recliners for relaxing. We couldn’t find a visitor feedback book which is always useful to read previous guests experiences particularly places to eat, places to visit & any recommendations worth mentioning. The welcome items, Prosecco, Fresh Orange Juice, Butter, Milk,Tea & Coffee were a real treat & nice touch. The owners did a great job making our week’s stay excellent, thank you.

Great place to stay.

Everything that you need. This is the second time we stayed here. Very dog friendly. The only problem was the wi-fi did not have net work name. Had password and I did leave a message for the owner but she did not get back to me. But overall great place to stay.

Great place to relax, very good parking and very easy to reach from the motorway.

Set within countryside but easy to reach places to visit, would recommend.

We found the property very spacious very clean & well maintained, the bed was very comfortable, kitchen has plenty of utensils & all the appliances you would need, plenty of hot water, wi-fi was very good, the welcoming croissants ,jam & bottle of prosecco plus the milk provided were much appreciated upon arrival, Barry & Denise.

Altogether a fantastic accommodation well organised with plenty of kitchen equipment. They only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a list of local dog walks , as trying to walk down the lane was a bit dicey.

The Stable is a lovely holiday property which we found very clean.

The welcome items is a nice gesture and appreciated. Unfortunately, we found the settee padding had moved within the cushions meaning you can feel the springs of the settee when sat on. This really needs replacing as it was uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. The bed in the master bedroom has a 3" foam topper which moved around and also made for a very hot and uncomfortable night's sleep. I was waking every few hours from being too hot and my wife suffered back ache from this foam topper. Although the property was clean there was a lot of ants running around the kitchen work top, the floor and I even found some in the dishwasher. This property requires some improvements for us to consider returning in the future.

The gate wasn’t very study but it was nice to have an enclosed space for the dogs.

Lovely house - perfect for a week visiting family and friends.

Very cosy - we didn’t need to use the log burner as the house was so warm even when temperatures were low outside (we had sun and snow!) Great location for exploring the surrounding area with our dog - we had lots of lovely walks. I would highly recommend!

This has been our fifth stay at The Stables.

We just love the peace and quiet and great walks. The beds are so comfortable and it is equipped with everything you need. Beautifully decorated for Christmas too.

We had a fantastic break away at the stables, the cottage was really well equipped and very cosy with the log burner.

We could see the cobwebs mentioned in previous reviews but the ceilings are so high up it was not an issue, otherwise we found the cottage to be clean and tidy. We were concerned about how secure garden area was for keeping the dog from roaming but we had no issue’s with this, our Great Dane stayed safely in the garden although we did keep a constant eye on him as he would have been able to get over the fence/gate with a jump but he is a very large dog! Minor point, the battery is low in the kitchen scales so will need replacing soon and couldn’t find a wash basket to transport wet clothes from washing machine to clothes rack. The location is perfect for seeing lots of attractions in both England and Wales, plus we liked the proximity to an A road (couple minutes drive) so you get the peace and quiet of the rural area without the stress of lengthy narrow rural roads. Overall we had a wonderful stay, I would have loved to stay longer and the welcome processco was a lovely touch as it was our anniversary too. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Such an amazing cottage.

All the little extra luxuries you have at home making our stay so comfy. The log burner was amazing in the evening and the local walks were glorious. We ran out of fire wood mid week so popped to the local nursery a short walk away and they gave us more for free as they also own the cottage. So many sweet little towns not too far. The coffee shop in Berkeley was splendid, my teen recommends the milkshake! All in all a wonderful week away!

The Stable is in a great location.

Our family live nearby, so it was ideal for being able to pop over and spend time with the grandchildren after school. It was well equipped to enable us to prepare meals, which included a couple of BBQs during the week. We have a dog and was happy that the outside area was secure. Although it is a shame that we couldn’t walk safely, directly from the accommodation. We took the car to North Nibley to park up and use footpaths from there. The Stable was clean and comfortable generally but there were quite a few cobwebs in the bathroom and bedroom that could easily have been cleaned away before our arrival The provisions that were left for us on arrival were most welcome. We would certainly return if our usual accommodation wasn’t available

We loved our stay at the stable.

The cottage is cosy, really well equipped and very homely. The garden is enclosed so perfect for the dog. The weather wasn’t great while we were there but we still made use of the shaded pergola which was just lovely. The WiFi was down due to a storm while we were there and the owner was very helpful with this. We would recommend booking this cottage.

Lovely property with everything you need.

Perfect location for visiting great places in the area (1 to 1.5 hours away). Loved sitting with the swallows flying around. Almost everything was perfect, my only suggestions would be a little more attention to cleaning. On our stay we found the toothbrush pot was grimy, the freezer drawers needed a good wipe down and the bathroom bin had not been emptied (previous visitors had put a sanitary towel in there

The accommodation was perfect. The property was clean and everything we could possibly want for our stay had been thought of and provided. The outside space was brilliant for the grandchildren and parking was perfect, we (adults) also appreciated the outside seating space, thankyou. If anyone is staying with young children its a good place to start your visit's. We took the children to Country Cattle Farm, Burford's wildlife park, Noah's ark zoo, Paradise Park and we also played miniature golf at Dobbie's, we would recommend them all. Thankyou for a wonderful stay, we would definitely like to return....Susan July 2024.

Nice spacious property and very well equipped.

Really appreciated the welcoming scones (& extras) and the fizz. Although the surfaces, bathroom and floors were clean; there were however an abundance of spiders and cobwebs everywhere! Also the outside furniture was covered in bird droppings. A better clean before we stayed would have made our stay in The Stable so much better.

The owner when we eventually got through the Monday before our holiday they said Sykes had been told a few times about the second bedroom .

They did put a camp bed in it for us, but on your listing it said second bedroom could be two singles or a double on request. This is not the case. Our son from USA did not expect to be sleeping on a camp bed for the week, and our other son had health issues so the truckle bed was very hard. It was improved slightly with the mattress topper out of the cupboard. If we had know this before we would have booked elsewhere

This cottage suited our needs for a holiday break.

We had a lovely welcome pack and the kitchen was well equipped. The whole place was clean and comfy. If I had one comment for improvement it would be for a shelf or storage place in the bathroom to put your wash bag, tooth brush, etc on. My wash bag was kept on the floor when a small unit would have been useful. The bathroom itself was lovely and modern and spacious. The cottage was also very handy for getting to plenty of places of interest locally and the nearby train station for easy access into Gloucester or Bristol.

Perfect for my needs as a base for working in Bristol. Great touches to welcome guests - cream tea and prosecco!

Our second visit and our stay was very enjoyable .

The new bed was a great improvement a casserole and couple of microwavable dishes would be useful will definitely return .

Very comfortable property and we really appreciated the welcome pack and log fire to keep us snug and warm on the cold evenings.

A very well presented cottage, as per description.

It felt very homely and had excellent facilities compared to many holiday rentals we have been to. Milk, croissant and even a bottle of Prosecco on arrival were a very nice touch. We were visiting friends nearby so this was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. Would most definitely stay again. (The dog enjoyed it too)

Spent one week at the property and would recommend.

Lovely thought that prosecco, orange juice, croissants jam etc was left for us, along with the doggy treats. Lovely property. A few minor things eg; cobwebs, seal around the bath and shower screen could do with re doing. But did not spoil our stay and would stay here again in the future

.photos really do not do it justice..everything about the property was perfect..those little extras ..wine ..biscuits and especially dog treats were a wonderful surprise..we cannot recommend this property enough and we are 100% certain to return... Thank you .

Great stay and a lot of positives about the property, negatives for me was very cheap metal frame bed in the main bedroom and very noisy when moving, this has been mentioned in past reviews and surprise it hasn’t been dealt with, as were the cobwebs that had not been cleaned away.

But nevertheless still a very nice property.

We had a lovely stay the cottage was very well equipped.

The towel rail wasn't on so hard to dry towels and we had a very wet day so needed to put the fire on. All in all we were very comfy, warm and had all we needed. We will stay again.

Could do with a bigger sign as set back from road.

A really lovely stay,the owners have really put the thought and effort into everything,very well equipped and lovely finishing touches,very thoughtful and appreciated welcome gifts.

Double bed a bit too soft for us personally but that’s is as individuals may not be an issue for others

We enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated it if the heated towel rail in the bathroom had worked as there was no ventilation in the bathroom and the towels did not easily dry.

None of the electric wall heaters worked either and it was quite cold at times as the weather was unusually cold, wet and windy for July. The overall cleanliness of the property was okay but some of the crockery and cutlery needed washing before use and clean towels halfway through the week would be good. The bed in the second bedroom was not very comfortable and it would be better if there were proper twin beds which could suit the needs of couples, friends or children more specifically. However, the property was well designed and spacious, it was in a good location for trips to Slimbridge wetlands centre, Gloucester, Cirencester, and Berkeley Castle, we also visited the Cotswold wildlife park in Burford which is well worth a visit and has beautiful gardens and lots of animals and birds to see. There are large supermarkets like Lidl, Sainsburys and Tesco in Dursley a 15 minute drive away.

We’ve had a good week in all .

Stables on a good location and well presented . Property needing some TLC. Main bedroom bed supports damaged. The scratches on the floor under the bed indicate this issue had been ongoing for sometime . The bed feels like it will collapse every time you sit on it . Bath panelling poor condition. Toilet brush in loo stinks and should be replaced . Inadequate hot water available. Not enough water for one bath let alone two on any day we were there . Outside area needs jet washing . Outside lighting bulb garland under gazebo not working . Sex toys discovered in the bedside table in the main room , what made this even worse was this was discovered by my children who wanted to know what they were. I have photos of all these issues should you wish to see them .

The holiday let was clean, fresh and modern. A very comfortable spacious living area that held everything we could possibly need. Lots of welcoming little treats which were a wonderful touch and very much appreciated. My only slight criticism was the bedroom lighting. The hanging bedside lights extremely bright and not individually activated. The bedside candle lights although pretty, were not bright enough to read. But the positives of our stay out weigh this small niggle entirely. The added bonus of the nesting swallows in the outside canopy was delightful and we were fortunate to see all five fledglings take their maiden flight before we returned home. What a joy to see! We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful countryside with its lovely trails immensely and will highly recommend it to our family and friends.

The Stables was a very comfortable property which lived up to the photos.

We has everything we needed for a cosy stay. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated and there was enough equipment to do all our own catering all week. We loved the outdoor seating area and the bonus of watching the swallow fledglings!

Honestly can barely fault the property.

It’s fantastically clean and I still can’t get over how nice it smelt in there considering dogs are allowed. The welcome flowers, wine, scones etc were an unexpected bonus and really made us feel that bit more welcome. Any contact with Jayne was pleasant and made clear to be in touch if we needed anything. The ONLY slight thing I see that could be improved for the dogs is just the height of the chicken wire on the fencing. It only goes half way up. Luckily 1 of our boys is obedient and the other too old to jump through so wasn’t a problem for us. But just a small fix to make it extra secure for the pooches. We shall certainly be returning and can’t wait. Thank you Jayne ❤️

A nicely presented holiday home in a convenient location for days out in all directions.

Nice welcome pack. Constructive criticism: A shelf for toiletaries in the bathroom would helpful. Bathroom towel rail was hot enough to burn my finger when accidently briefly touched, suggest reducing temperature. There is a HOT warning sign, but question if this is adequate given the burn risk. Suggest moving the games stored in wardrobe so that the whole space can be used for visitors clothes. General waste bin outside was full on arrival and remained so until I enquired and thankfully it was promptly attended to.

I particularly rang the owner to ensure that the GARDEN was secure and that I could let my dog out, and was told that it was.

I don’t call a fifteen inch mesh, and a gate with wide gaps secure, also I don’t call 2 patches of artificial grass and a pebble driveway a dog friendly garden. The lights in the main bedroom , unless we missed something, were absolutely useless, not much better than a candle. I did not know what a trundle bed was until I was there, and tried to call the owner to get it changed, I had no reply,so spent an uncomfortable week on what is more like a sofa. I would not recommend this property unless these issues are addressed. Yours truly Rosemary Winfield

Lovely cottage beautifully appointed.

Safe slave for the dogs to wander around. Very convenient for places to visit.

We found the property clean and modern and had everything you could possibly want for a very comfortable stay.

The local shops and take-aways in nearby Berkely were good and a number of convenience stores, pharmacy and bakery. One thing I would add to the description which is a bonus for those staying with young children or dogs. You have your own enclosed and gated gravel driveway plus the outdoor entertaining area just outside the entrance double doors - so you are very self contained. We found the owner Jane very helpful when required. The property is in easy reach of a number of places to visit.

The best cottage we have stayed in.

It feels like luxury accommodation. Both the owner and Sykes gave us all the information needed and were easy to contact ( this has been a problem with other companies) This was our 3rd time there and would love to return

Really good position to explore the area. Jayne is so good really helpful wonderful welcome pack. The property is spotless and beautifully decorated. Log fire is so cosy.

The welcome pack and flowers were really appreciated. The truckle bed is ok but a proper bed would make it 5 star.

The accommodation was most homely and had everything one would need for our stay.

The ground floor layout was particularly welcomed and appropriate for our needs. Location for Southmead, Bristol was also perfect with only a short drive too the hospital and other places. For relaxation, Westonbirt Arboretum was sufficiently nearby to also enjoy. Absolutely no hesitation to rebook this property and thank you to the extremely kind owner.

It is well equipped and comfortable as well as stylishly furnished. The owner kindly rang ahead to warn of road works and closure at the end of the lane and advised a route round. Very much appreciated!

We had such a wonderful stay at the cottage with our toddler and dog.

Our daughter loved running around the garden and there was plenty to do nearby. The cottage is comfortable, clean and so well equipped. We agreed its the best cottage we have stayed in. The welcome package was a wonderful touch. We really hope to stay again soon!

We had a great stay in the stable ,every thing was there that you could possibly need ,bed very comfy ,lots of lovely places to eat and walks to do ,we will definitely be back .

We had a fabulous stay with a young family , the cottage was really well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, the welcome package was a lovely touch that instantly made us feel welcome.

The outside space was great and with the fabulous weather we had made an ideal and safe play space for our children (4 and 9 months). The only thing that would have made this stay even better we’re the comfort of the beds but even so we wouldn’t hesitate to return! There is lots to do/ places to visit that in a weeks stay we only scratched the surface, our four year old really enjoyed Cattle Country (3 mins away) and venturing to Whitmore Bay in South Wales (about 1h10m away). Again I can’t stress how much of a great time we had! Thank You!

Very comfortable and well-equipped, including garden space and furniture.

A nice countryside setting near the town of Dursley with supermarkets, restaurants and other amenities. Easy access to the Cotswolds, trails and picnic sites. Only small disadvantage was the lack of easy access from the cottage to dog walks.

The stables was a delightful place, and the welcome was a very pleasant surprise with a bottle ,cream tea and strawberry waiting for us .

If you want a relaxing break The Stables is the place to go.

It was so comfy and stylish. It had everything we could possibly have needed. My son particularly enjoyed making hot chocolate with the milk frother! It was also a great place for our cockapoo puppy. We felt very secure letting him run around in the garden as there were no escape routes! Great place and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Thank you.

Lovely cottage with everything you could need.

Very clean and well equipped both inside the cottage and in the outside seating area.

I would just like to say thank you to Jayne for her attention to detail in the cottage, everything you could think of was there and more, thank you for the extra towels, quality of which is excellent unlike some other place we have stayed, the scones and clotted cream yummy, my dog settled in straight away.

Hopefully we will come again next year. Just on a side note, the bed in the main bedroom does need looking at, seems there are 2 mattresses on it and it's just not working, not the most comfortable I'm afraid, but it won't stop us returning.

Can't wait to return to this beautiful property.

It ticked all the boxes for us

Absolutely fabulous place to stay, from the scones, clotted cream, jam & proseco & under floor heating in the bathroom, could not fault any of it.

Only comment is a non gravelled area just so the dogs can do their business would be brilliant as they didnt like walking on the gravel & the road with no footpath was to busy & dark.

Clean, comfortable, charming and a great location. The small touches were greatly received and unexpected, a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us was a very kind gesture as well as the scones and jam, which were eaten within a few minutes of us arriving. Highly recommend The Stable..

Sad to leave The Stable this morning - we both agreed this is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in.

The cottage itself has a lovely layout and has been beautifully decorated - we particularly liked the little touches like croissants which made us feel v. welcomed!

The Stable was a lovely property and we had everything that we required.

Jane was very helpful when I messaged about ‘bin day’ most owners are very exacting about this but she was relaxed and explained what we should do. Jane was also happy to provide extra logs and anything we needed however there was no need. She also provided lots of lovely welcoming bits and pieces. The bed in the main room was very comfy as were the sofa’s. we found the location a great place to discover Gloucester and Bristol which was the aim of our stay. We would definitely return

The Stables had absolutely everything we could need for a break away and there was a lovely Christmas hamper waiting for us on arrival.

We can’t fault any part of our stay, everything had been thought of. We would definitely stay again.

The Stables is very well equipped, clean and comfortable with everything we could have wanted.

Very quiet and a comfy big bed meant we slept very well. We met the friendly owner a few times for a chat. Very well located within 1/4 of a mile of the A38 to enable us to get out and about. We loved the covered seating area with a table to relax when we came back in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would recommend the Stables without hesitation.

It was a lovely cottage and spotlessley clean.

The cottage had state of the art cooker ,hob and oven ,very comfortable beds and it was all so easy. I hope to go back at some point for a longer stay.

The Stable was incredibly well equipped, lots of fantastic touches and welcome flowers and a pint if milk.

The hot choc sundries were greatly appreciated and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely.

Only reason I wouldn't book again was location, as we used it for a wedding honeymoon staying in the local area.

The cottage was exceptionally clean with a contemporary feel and had everything you needed for a holiday away ,The prosecco and scones left by the owners for our arrival was a lovely touch and the fresh flowers were beautiful.

The location of the cottage was perfect to explore the area , close to motorway links but also far enough away to not hear the traffic. We would recommend this cottage to anyone

Perfectly sized for our family of four, exceptionally clean with lots of little nice touches such as a box of biscuits and Prosecco on arrival. Cozy, comfortable and tastefully decorated I would highly recommend staying here.

The cottage is just as it looks in photos - light, airy, comfortable with great modern amenities. The welcome gifts of prosecco and biscuits were a lovely surprise, and we enjoyed the comfort of the wood burner. We would be happy to return!

The only negative thing about the stables is the cobwebs we had to get down and rolls of fluff under the sofa .

We appreciated the welcome scones jam and cream and prossecco . After travelling 240 miles we did have a lovely week . Jayne the owner could have said hello living so very close but didn't.

The Stables was a lovely place to stay, the owner had thought of everything, and she was very helpful and pleasant on arrival.

Would love to go back, but the experience would be made a little better if there had been a king size bed and the garden was secure from the main road for the dog,twice or 3 times she ventured onto the main road as no gate or secure fence, luckily the road was closed for maintenance but still a through road for other houses and farm vehicles, would of totally spoilt it for us if that had not been so. Maybe just letting people know that it wasn’t a secure garden would be fine. But otherwise a first class accommodation

Really lovely holiday cottage in a great location.

Extremely comfortable and clean with some lovely welcome gifts including sparkling wine, scones and jam. Milk in the fridge even treats for the dogs,brilliant. Would not hesitate to recommend. The only minus point was the open aspect onto the minor road outside with two dogs. As it happened the road was closed to through traffic due to bridge repairs and our dogs generally don’t wander too far so not too much of a problem for us but a gate to the road would have been perfect.

We received some lovely welcome gifts from the owner and were very please with the cottage.The garden center up the road on the way to Gloucester does amazing food and there is a wide variety of plants and gifts. The garden center around the corner from the Stable was great value for money.

Lovely holiday place, will definitely book the stables again.

Unfortunately our week was cut short through ill health but the owners were very helpful and supportive.

Beautifully furnished cottage in a quiet area, close to lots of touristy places like Slimbridge Wetlands and Cattle Country Adventure Park. Little touches like the jam and scones on arrival really made it special. Highly recommended.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped & comfortable - the owners had thought of everything to make our stay home from home.

It is well situated for sightseeing & shopping in the Cotswolds.

This property is absolutely gorgeous.

It was spotlessly clean with good quality fittings, lovely bed linen and numerous ‘treats’ left for us by the owner. There was a vase of beautifully arranged fresh flowers and a generous supply of logs for the burner. There was even a jar of gravy bones for Kensa, our dog. Thanks so much!

What a little gem, everything you would want from a holiday cottage.

So close to lots of lovely villages worth visiting. Unfortunately we had no WIFI at all over the six days we stayed but that didn't spoil our break. Didn't want to leave so hope to go back in the near future,

The Stables has very good facilities but due to its location you do need your own transport.

The advertised details state that the main bedroom has a king sized bed, this is incorrect as it is a UK std 4ft 6 inch double, in which case we would not have booked this property in the first place, which would have been a pity as otherwise it meet our needs. It was also disappointing that the owner, who lives next door, did not find time to to visit during our two week stay and help address some minor queries that we had. We did try to meet but had to make telephone contact to ask about towel and bedding change arrangements mid holiday.

The site said there would be WiFi.

That’s one of the reasons we booked this property because of prepping our day trips. First days we had WiFi but this was unstable and for 9 days we had no WiFi at all. We contact Sykes and on their advice the owner. After several contacts and someone to try to fix it it was still not working. We had to multiple 4G bundles... For the rest the property was fine! And of course we had al lovely holiday cause the location gives you so many possibilities for things to do!!

Thought from brochure there were 2 double bedrooms.

Found the beds in smaller bedroom had been combined into a single bed of at most 2ft 6ins wide so tallish middle aged daughter banged her head on the wall when she turned over. We realised there was no garden but thought from the picture that there were strips of grass in the front. On arrival we realised these were artificial grass. The only near place for the dog to use was grass along the narrow verge of the road outside the cottage gate. Not ideal.

Beautiful property with absolutely everything you need for a stay away from home.

Luxury gifts left by the owner were a lovely surprise & gratefully received. Property is in a really lovely area, lots of places to visit, however you definitely need a car to get around. Berkeley Castle & Slimbridge Wetlands Centre are good days out & not far away. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful, really clean, spacious, high spec, well designed holiday home.

Great attention to detail, everything provided, home from home. We really enjoyed our stay, although no internet for a week which was inconvenient.. However owner aware and tried her best with the provider, even offering her own internet as compensation. But not the best area for wifi if its important to you. Otherwise faultless!

The Stables provided fantastic accommodation with every home comfort and was superbly equipped inside and out.

Location and surrounding area brilliant.

The cottage was clean, spacious with lovely furnishings; it has all the facilities you could need.

In fact the owners have thought of most things. There were some nice touches too such as prosecco, chocolate Easter bunnies and hot cross buns left for us as well as essentials like milk and coffee. The cottage was perfect for a couple plus dog and a 15 months old (the highchair was appreciated too). Only two suggestions for improvement, heavier curtains in the bedrooms to help block out the light and unfortunately the broadband was very patchy which stopped us watching films in the evening (down to the provider I would say).
