    “We have stayed here many times and love the place.”

    The peace and quiet is second to none. The fabulous open views in every direction allow you to observe the wildlife. On this visit we saw many hares, rabbits, red kites, buzzard, two different breed of deer and heard owls in the woodland. Do make the effort to get up and watch the sunrise from the top of the track and the beautiful sunsets. The barn is warm and cosy and there is everything you need to cook up lovely meals. Very comfortable bed and no light pollution.

About the location

NORTHLEACH

Bourton on the water 5.5 miles; Stow-on-the-wold 9.1 miles;

Northleach is just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.

Note: The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the barn with privacy provided via heavy drape curtains from the rafters and that there is low balustrade unsuitable for young children.
