“We stayed at Brooklands for Christmas- it is an absolutely charming and romantic little cottage, we didn’t want to leave.”

From the log fire, quirky stairs & beautiful views to the extremely cosy bed and most welcomed guest snacks, we just shut the world out for a few days and completely relaxed. To give a balanced view, there were 3 minor negatives. Firstly, the kitchen could do with additional baking trays (bearing in mind that we had Christmas dinner there, we did take tin foil trays with us). Secondly the sofa, which although it does suit the cottage, sadly didn’t allow for ‘cuddling up together’ and lastly the log supply was very poor - although we were aware that it would be limited and did bring supplies with us, there was literally 1 log. With everything considered, we are seriously considering booking again for this Christmas.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Brooklands! We’re delighted to hear that you found the cottage charming and romantic, and that the cosy bed, log fire, and thoughtful touches helped make your Christmas stay so relaxing. We really appreciate your balanced feedback and have taken note of your suggestions. We’ll look into adding extra baking trays to the kitchen and ensure the log supply is more generous for future stays. Your comments help us improve while keeping the character of the cottage that guests love. It’s wonderful to hear you’re considering returning this Christmas – we’d be thrilled to welcome you back for another magical stay! Property Owner

The property

With wonky beams, slopey floors and majestic views across the quintessential English scene, 'Brooklands is just what you want from a typical Cotswolds cottage.

Tucked within the Ballinger's Row, an historic collection of 17th Century cottages, Brooklands is the charming and perfect 'get away from it all' bolt hole within a truly romantic location.

Not only that Inside the character speaks for itself, spacious rooms presented with antique touches, altogether give this beautiful home a truly cosy feel.

Watch the telly or read a book in front of the fire, or simply do nothing but enjoy the exceptional setting and commanding views over the completely unspoilt Chedworth Valley.

And there is a delightful country pub at the end of your lane too, The Seven Tuns which is currently closed, but hopefully re-opening soon.

Although in the Row, the impression is of complete seclusion and tranquility, having an enclosed mature garden and situated on a narrow lane with scarcely any traffic at all: but cars can deliver (and turn around at the end of the road) and are parked at the end of the lane.

This is an eclectic, manor-style bolt hole just perfect for hiding away from the busy world! Please note there is a Good House Keeping Bond of £50 for this property, this will be shadowed at the time of booking.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £50.
