“Great cosy cottage in a perfect location .”

Walks direct from the front door and really central location for all Cotswolds villages . The lodge was very very warm and cosy and had everything we needed making it very homely . It was very clean . The king size bed was very comfortable and the downstairs shower had great water power. The garden was perfect for our dogs ( but so good to have a large meadow at the end of the lane for them too) and it was nice to feed the birds with the seed provided. It was very clean . The king size bed was very comfortable and the downstairs shower had great water power. The garden was perfect for our dogs ( but so good to have a large meadow at the end of the lane for them too) and it was nice to feed the birds with the seed provided. Kitchen cupboards were full of crockery and pots and dishes and 2 fridges and a freezer - we were spoilt for choice ! The welcome tray of biscuits crisps and juice and milk in the fridge was much appreciated . There are Plenty of books and information on walks and things to do in the area . Had a good meal at the pub just up the road and there is a community cafe and post office 5 mins walk up the road . All in all a great place for a very restful relaxing stay with lots of thoughtful touches and in spite of the non stop rain we had a lovely holiday.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a complimentary as well as comprehensive review. You touched on many of the things that we appreciate as well when we stay at the cottage e.g. the downstairs shower! Not forgetting of course the great amenities the village has to offer with the nearby pub and the cafe in the community stores. Sorry you had such awful weather, but I’m afraid some things remain beyond our control! We hope you’ll consider staying at the cottage again. Best wishes, Tudor & Linda (owners) Property Owner

The property

The Lodge is a magnificent Cotswold vacation home situated in a charming community halfway between Cirencester and Burford.

The cottage is a lovely option for a Cotswold vacation because it still has many charming, original elements.

The owners oversaw the makeover and included some trendy and contemporary elements, such a woodburning stove and underfloor heating, that increase the cottage's appeal.

The property has a nice yard that is ideal for alfresco eating and is hidden down a "no through" lane.

This is a really nice vacation rental in a lovely village.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.
