Very clean and comfortable annexe, the owners were both very friendly and helpful, had a very good knowledge of all the places of interest, which were all within a short drive.

The welcome pack was much appreciated after our long drive to the property. Hopefully we will be returning sometime

A nice ground floor apartment, with handy parking outside the front door on a driveway.

The owners communication was good. They met us on arrival and had left a small welcome package of food and drinks which were appreciated. There was an issue with the flooring, which had just occurred. Thankfully we were still able to stay, even though the floor was rather uneven. It is being repaired after we left. We were glad to be able to stay, rather than have our booking cancelled last minute. The property is very clean and had everything we needed. Some sky TV channels are a bonus. One thing we weren't keen on was the bedroom had no window. It is through a glass door off the lounge, so it is quite dark with only a little natural light. Also with the weather being very hot when we were there, it didn't help that we couldn't open a window. A big fan was provided. The location is quiet, as it's off the main street. The outdoor seating area was nice, although we didn't get a chance to use it on our stay.

Jeremy and Helen were very friendly helpful hosts.

Jeremy gave us lots of places worth seeing and places to eat. There was a generous welcome pack with local cider included. Cinderford is central for getting to places and good walks in the Forest of Dean.

Helen & Jeremy are very helpful and can give you advice of places to go . We all loved are treats which was so welcoming. Loved the idea of the doggy corner . Very homely and comfortable place to stay very central . Highly recommend the globe for sunday lunch and mid week meals . A lovely, cosy little annex, perfect for exploring The Forest of Dean.

This is the perfect property for me.

Warm, cosy and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is very well equipped. And it was a lovely touch to have milk and Welsh cakes provided. It was great for my dogs too. I loved staying here and hope to come again. Helen is very welcoming and helpful with nothing too much trouble. The location is amazing - very near to all the best places in the Forest of Dean. I can’t wait to come back.

We had a really lovely week at the Annexe in Cinderford, Forest of Dean.

Good weather and lots to see and do within a short distance. The Forest attractions are only a short drive away and the town is within walking distance. We travelled home via Monmouth which is a nice town. The Annexe is perfect for 2 people with good sized lounge diner and bedroom, modern shower room and small but well designed kitchen. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They were having outdoor building work during our stay but this didn't make too much difference and we were still able to sit outside and admire the sunsets! We would recommend the Annexe and the area.

On arrival scaffolding was erected over the building.

The seating area shown on the website was damaged. A temporary seating area had poles in it and skip was adjacent to it. The only window to the property could be opened because of the scaffolding. It was a building site. You could not sit outside to relax. The property was not as described on the Sykes site. We have complained to Sykes and are awaiting a reply.

Jeremy and Helen were very kind and helpful, and knowledgeable about the area.

The annexe is welcoming and peaceful, and the perfect place to relax. it is well-equipped and very comfortable.

The cottage is ideal for a couple to use as a base to discover that neck of the woods.

It is in walking distance of the town centre which will provide you with everything you need. The cottage is clean, cosy and warm and very dog friendly both inside and out The owners who live above are very friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend and will return if we come back to that area

Everything was satisfactory in the accommodation.

Property was in a nice location ideal for visiting The Forest of Dean and surrounding area. Found nice area within walking distance for walking the dog before we continued with our daily exploring.

The annexe proved to be a lovely, comfortable base for five days of exploring The Forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

Hoats were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, accommodation was comfortable, well fitted kitchen with everything needed for a very pleasant stay

Very comfortable and clean with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed our stay in the Annex, everything we needed, nice and close to the forest.

And very comfortable. Helen & Jeremy were very helpful. The only thing I would say is it took a quite a time to find it,as it is actually off to the back of the property.

A lovely apartment with everything you need to hand.

Lots to do in the area. Some good walks from the door, especially up to Littledean Road which has amazing views of the Severn Valley. We hope to return.

The location is perfect and less than a 10 minute drive to various walks in the forest of Dean which was perfect for me and my dog Max. my only negative feedback would be that although it was generally clean the attention to detail on the cleaning was not there, however this wouldn't stop me staying again in the future. I'm already looking at booking again this year :)

We spent Christmas in the annexe and had a lovely, relaxing week staying there.

The weather was bad so we spent a lot of time in the annexe and were very comfortable. The weather did allow us one day walking in the Forest where we followed the Sculpture Trail and we had a lovely meal in the White Heart another day. Helen and Jeremy were very helpful, making sure we knew how to work the cooker, etc. Lovely, comfy, firm bed. Our dog enjoyed playing with one or two treats they left for her before eating them. She is small and thinks larger treats are toys.

This was the perfect spot for me and my two spaniels to explore the forest of Dean.

Ground floor location with every thing we needed down to the doggie treats and the enclosed area for the dogs to escape outside to occasionally. Helen and Jeremy were perfect, being friendly Ann accessible living above the property, but leaving me to myself at the right times. Brilliant find

Everything you need for a few days away from home.

Very clean property with one of the best equipped kitchens we have seen.

Lack of natural light because of the design of the building but plenty of ceiling lights helped to make up for that. Doggy treats & bowls provided which was useful as we forgot ours! Owners friendly & helpful but not intrusive

Annexe is ideal for 2 and is safe for a dog which was useful. Location is an excellent base for exploring nearby Forest of Dean.

Our stay in the Annexe was very comfortable we had everything we needed for our weeks holiday, the Annexe was clean and in a good location we had a parking space which was just for the Annexe guests.

We enjoyed our stay and will certainly be planning to go again.

The cottage is everything you need for your stay. Lots of useful information of what to do . They even caterer for your dog with beds, bowls and treats. Such a lovely touch. Would stay again if we were to visit the area again.

Owners were lovely, friendly but not intrusive.

Outside space for the dog was secure with room to sit outside and enjoy a drink. Location to the Forest of Dean was fantastic with easy access to the road network for the other areas we visited.

Where to start?

The annex is so well thought through with everything you could possibly need, even our 2 dogs were catered for with treats and toys to play with. It has a very safe outside space so you can relax knowing that your furbabies can't wonder off. It also has sky TV and movies for in the evenings after a long day exploring. It's within 5mins drive to a beautiful aboretum that you can leave your dogs of lead to run free but safe. There are pubs around but we didn't make it out in the evenings to tired! We did visit Tintern Abbey and there was a beautiful family-friendly and dog friendly pub there also in the little village craft centre. Anyway we would definitely stay with Helen and Jeremy again as they're brilliant hosts who even left us Cider and welsh cakes!

Helen and Jeremy met us as we drove in and made us most welcome.

We viewed the property and were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and the high standard of equipment and fittings. The bedroom was warm and comfortable, the dining room/sitting room was well furnished (the leather sofa is being replaced) the toilet/shower room and kitchenette were more than adequate. To sum up, Clean, Warm, Comfortable and the owners could not have been more kind.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Annexe.

It was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed for our week in the Forest of Dean. A small seating area outside to relax and enjoy the view. We can't comment about dog facilities as we didn't use them . We only met the hosts,Helen and Jeremy on the last two days as they were away but they were very friendly. The welcome gift of Welsh cakes and cider was much appreciated. There's plenty to do in the area without travelling too far. Lovely walks close by, Chepstow, Monmouth, Ross on Wye a number of castles and Dean Forest railway . Thank you for a lovely stay.

Surpassed our expectations.

Location of the property in Cinderford was ideal for exploring the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley and the Cotswolds. The property was exceptionally clean and the hosts Jeremy & Helen were always on hand. The little "treats" were much appreciated: Milk & Cider in the fridge when we arrived. Also Welsh Cakes. Our dog loved the "doggy" corner. Treats and toys. Would certainly recommend. - Karen, Chris & "Diesel" (Horwich, Bolton.)

Just spent an enjoyable week at the annexe.

Helen and Jeremy were very attentive hosts without being intrusive. Our dog , Winnie , was grateful for the thoughtful treats left for her, as were we for the human gifts (milk, Welsh cakes, & cider). The annexe is well situated for day trips out, amongst our favourites were Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds, Abergavenny in wales and Redrook on the English/Welsh border. We would definitely recommend this property.

We had to leave early because I became unwell.

The couple who own the annex are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The cottage is ideal for 2 for a week and close to the Forest of Dean which is beautiful. Also just a 10 minute drive away is a lovely hotel called The Speech House which we visited twice in our short stay, once for coffee and cake taken in the Orangery and one evening for a relaxing pint. Highly recommended as it is a lovely old building with very friendly staff. There are several good places to visit such as Ross on Wye, Monmouth and Gloucester. We also visited tbe beautiful church of St. Mary's in Fownhope for their flower festival, which was an absolute delight. Three small negatives regarding the cottage. I have a very limited diet so take all my own food on holiday and there is no cupboard in the small kitchen to store food. A good fridge freezer and cooker and everything else one needs but a food cupboard would help. The shower would gradually fill with water because the hair trap needed cleaning. And Cinderford is a narrow, hilly town so driving can be difficult and finding the cottage on arrival was a bit difficult but was overcome by phoning the owner. Don't let it put you off though as the small garden is ideal for relaxing in and it has beautiful views.

Helen and Jeremy were very welcoming and helpful. We just found the bed a bit on the low side but no major issues, in fact the duvet was actually generous in size. Many thanks for a restful week.

We found the property to be very cosy and clean.

It was very well appointed having everything you would need for a lovely break away. The power shower was the best we have ever experienced. The little extras such as the ciders, water bottles, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits were also a bonus. The little extras for the dog, such as, a chew, dog biscuits, poo bags, toys and a bed, were also an added bonus. The location was great, being a short drive to various attractions and walks within the Forest of Dean. We had a lovely meal in the White Hart Inn just down the road from the property. Finally, the owner Jeremy, greeted us warmly and made sure we understood how to operate all the appliances, such as the SkyQ box, heating and oven, etc. All in all, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it.Thank you.

The hosts had thought of everything you need to enjoy your holiday, there was even toys and treats for the dog.

The annex was situated in a central position to visit the area.

We enjoyed our stay, the owners came to meet us, and were very nice.

We thought the accommodation was very well laid out and very well kept. The accommodation was also well equipped. Personally, I would be replacing the sofa, as the seats are very low, also the mattress, as it is on the verge of uncomfortable. I would recommend this accommodation.

The town itself is rather tired however very convenient to other places , The speech house do lovely meals and sandwiches etc also dog friendly

Lovely area with Forest of Dean close by to take your dogs for lovely walks. Beautiful part of the UK too lovely scenery and just perfect.

Friendly warm welcome and extremely well equipped accommodation.

Although the Annex was small, it was well equipped and was in an ideal location for travelling to local attractions.

The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming, they even left biscuits and drinks in addition to milk etc. They gave advice on places to visit and the Annex in had many leaflets on places to visit. . As it was Jeremy.'s birthday, they also invited us to his party. They couldn't have done more. Excellent!

Good cottage in central location.

Large enough for the two of us & two yorkies. Weather was fab and it was nice to be able to enjoy it in the garden on an evening The town looked a bit tired but there was certainly plenty to do within short drives. Good walks

Hosts very welcoming and friendly with good knowledge and recommendations of places to visit and where to eat. Lovely extra touches from the host - cider and Welsh cakes, plus milk in fridge and biscuits for the dog. Most enjoyable.

Parking excellent. Very high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Location in the town with easy access to the Forest of Dean and other delightful places. Did not want to leave!

Sky tv was appreciated as was able to watch films etc., also lots of leaflets on local attractions. We didn't have to travel far to enjoy the Forest of Dean as everything was near by Beechenhurst Forest , Mallards Pike Lake, Westbury Court Garden, Symonds Yat. Helen and Jeremy the owners were very helpful and gave us lots of information about the area around us, the welcome pack was an added bonus, It was a very relaxing place to stay.

Outside patio areas an added bonus as lovely sun trap and very comfortable and peaceful. Location of property although in an urban area is perfect for quick, easy access to plenty of walks in the Forest and walking distance to shops, restaurants and take-aways. Owners hospitality and advice on the local area was second to none. Really dog friendly property, made us all feel welcome. Would highly recommend.

Good clean accommodation but immediate vicinity very urban.

Garden was lacking privacy as it is more of a driveway with a couple of patio areas. However view of forest from it is very good.
