“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pennylands!”

It is a beautiful lodge with stunning views in a fabulous quiet location. We were greeting by Judi and Glen on arrival, they live on the property so were always available to chat to if needed (as well as via messages for recommendations) and they came out as we were departing to see us off- they were super friendly and infomative- when Judi realised we loved walking she said she had more local walking books in her property and went off to get them straight away for us to keep for the duration of ...

It is a beautiful lodge with stunning views in a fabulous quiet location. We were greeting by Judi and Glen on arrival, they live on the property so were always available to chat to if needed (as well as via messages for recommendations) and they came out as we were departing to see us off- they were super friendly and infomative- when Judi realised we loved walking she said she had more local walking books in her property and went off to get them straight away for us to keep for the duration of our stay. The lodge is in a gorgeous setting and the weather was fabulous which enabled us to sit on the veranda and enjoy the views and the wildlife- we saw deers, rabbits frolicking in the morning sun and squirrels. The lodge itself is spacious, very clean and has all the utensils/commodities needed for a comfortable stay. The beds are really comfortable and the bathroom spacious too. We would definitely highly recommend this property and we will stay here again should we visit the area. Broadway is beautiful and it was great to be able to walk there in 15 minutes and have great shops, cafes and pubs to hand. Thank you Judi and Glen for a lovely stay!

“Lovely Lodge very clean, comfortable and well equipped.”

Great views from the lodge very quiet great for a relaxing break. Only 15mins walk into Broadway, steam train only 5 mins walk great for exploring the Cotswolds. “Had a lovely holiday - the accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the outlook from the terrace was beautiful, with deer, rabbits and birds clearly visible from your seat, while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.”

Broadway was very easily accessible by car and in our opinion, it and Chipping Campden were our favourite villages.

“We were absolutely delighted with the cottage for our two-night stay in early April.”

It was very clean and stocked with everything we needed (and more - even a tea cake to enjoy upon arrival!) and the hosts were genuinely welcoming. Our favorite moments were spent enjoying the lovely view from the deck and from a grassy spot on the lawn. We hope to return again in the future!

The Owners were on site if you needed them and they were very friendly and approachable. The lodge itself was five star. It had everything you needed, very clean and comfortable. The garden was huge and at night if you sat quietly you may spot a fox or a deer and definitely rabbits running across grass. The village of Broadway is a short walk. It has plenty of places to eat and drink. There are some quirky little shops there too. We will definitely be back and we would certainly recommend staying at this beautiful lodge.

Ideally situated just under a mile’s walk away from Broadway, which is a gorgeous place. Glen and Judi were fantastic hosts and we really appreciated all the little extras they provided (milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, soaps etc) which made the lodge a home from home. We loved sitting on the veranda so much that we ate out during the day and spent the evenings back at the lodge enjoying the view. Ruby dog was so happy to have 3 acres to explore. Deer and woodpeckers came within a few feet of us which was so lovely. We really had the most relaxing and chilled-out week. Batteries suitably recharged! I’m sure we will return, we had such a great week. Lovely hosts, beautiful lodge set in a gorgeous area and so much to explore in the Cotswolds. Thank you to Judi and Glen for making us so welcome.

“Pennylands Hill View Lodge is a lovely property with an amazing view.”

The lodge is spacious, well furnished, comfortable and the little additions (milk, teabags, biscuits, dog bowl/treats/poo bags) added by the owners were a great touch. We had planned to go out in the evenings for a meal but found that after a day walking around the villages of the Cotswolds, we much preferred to come back to this lovely lodge and relax on the little deck. The outside space was amazing and our dog Frankie thoroughly enjoyed running around and playing ball to her hearts content. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful houses and gardens to visit nearby and fantastic walking country. Broadway has many places to eat and drink and everywhere including shops are very dog friendly. We enjoyed the view from the chalet and Jasper, our dog, enjoyed the space of the garden. Thoroughly recommend

Rabbits and squirrels were constant visitors and we saw deer one morning at the bottom of the field. Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay but the few days we had there were great. It’s in a good area to see lots of lovely Cotswold villages and National Trust properties. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. I would happily book again.

The setting is superb, with views over the hills and plenty of local amenities within a short distance. Would definitely recommend the property to anyone visiting Broadway. “Our second visit to Hill View, a warm welcome from Judi & Glen & much appreciated help from them on the evening our dog had a seizure with Glen driving us to Evesham where we were able to find the emergency vet number to speak to a nurse & then see the Broadway vet the next morning, all well in the end.”

The lodge is very comfortable & lovely garden area for dog walking. We certainly hope to visit again.

Fantastic place to stay with a dog. Large paddock at the rear of the property, even had deer visiting early mornings. Within walking distance of the lovely shops and eateries of Broadway and lots of lovely walks on the doorstep without driving far. Owners so friendly and helpful. Even though this property is at the rear of their house, it is private and peaceful and not too close to the second lodge. Would definitely stay again.

“Lovely property, absolutely spotlessly clean.”

Comfortable lounge with beautiful view from the French doors and excellent outside decking area with seating for four. The lodge contained everything we could possibly need, including a dishwasher and washer. Bedrooms are large, airy and very comfortable and the bathroom is also well laid out with a good walk in shower. Having a reserved parking space is a bonus as is the proximity of Broadway Village which is in easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property and would love to return again at some point in the future.

On arrival the host greeted us warmly and we were helped with r luggage into the cabin . The cabin was larger than it looked on the photographs and was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable . The views across the field from the decking was amazing . We were fortunate to have good weather and was able to sit out on the decking in the evening , ( with a glass of wine or 2 ) and plan r visits to other cotswold villages . Broadway was about a 15 minute walk down the hill but for the less abled , it’s advised to drive down but go early or late in the day to get a parking space . I would definitely recommend this accommodation

“Everything was lovely and just perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, starting with a warm and friendly welcome from our hosts – complete with cake and flowers!”

The accommodation was equipped with everything you needed and spotlessly clean and in tiptop condition. The unspoilt view from the lodge was a much-appreciated view every day and the location, only 15/20 minutes stroll into the centre of Broadway, was excellent. It was really nice to be able to do your food shopping on foot and only use the car when needed for sightseeing further away. In conclusion we had a very enjoyable stay and would love to go again, so we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pennyland to others.

We felt like we had our own private park with the large paddock adjoining the property. Our Spanish greyhound enjoyed the freedom to roam. Beautiful view from the patio of the surrounding area. Very close to Broadway town which was very pretty with lots of places to eat and relax. The couple who own the lodge were friendly and helpful. Highy recommend this holiday hideaway.

They had everything you may need and if you needed anything else the couple were very happy to help. The steam train station was literally just down the road, then approx another half mile into Broadway. It is a great central place to stay with so many quaint places to visit around the Cotswolds.

Great for the dog as we could let her out onto the grass for a good run. The lodge is lovely and warm in cold weather. Everything you would need is included in the cost. Plenty of places to go with the dog in the area, walks, pubs, shops etc. We would go there again.

“The owners were great hosts, always available but never intrusive.”

The chalet was described as being in the owners garden, this meant it was hidden from the road and felt very secure. Although there appeared to be little room for food storage this was outweighed by the provision of a fridge, separate deep freeze, dishwasher and washing machine. The chalet had a good sized verandah, an ideal place to take breakfast and supper whilst watching the rabbits playing on the large grass area. The attractive village of Broadway was walking distance (1 mile) and well worth a visit. An internet connection is provided and worked very well.

“We found the cabin light, spacious and warm with lovely views, very relaxing having an early evening drink on the deck watching the squirrels, rabbits, woodpeckers and pheasant.”

The owners were helpful with information on the area, only 10 mins walk into Broadway and very accessible to many National Trust and other historical properties. We walked to Broadway Tower; very interesting with beautiful views and a very good cafe.

We were able to visit the gardens and other attractions without needing to travel a long distance. The location of the Lodge was on a main road but lower than the road so traffic noise was not heard. A very peaceful place to enjoy a drink on the Lodges deck. We would probably visit again in the future.
