Granary Cottage

A lovely cottage - cosy, comfortable.

We had a brilliant time! Thank you.

We’ve stayed in many cottages with Sykes and other companies.

This one was disappointing, it felt unloved and in need of much TLC. No full length mirror. No blankets. Oven seals broken in both ovens. Oven struggled to maintain temperature. Husband had to reprogramme central heating to stop it coming on at night and waking us up. Shower dial stiff to turn. Bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned. Dishwasher full of dishes on arrival which we had to empty. Hoover didn’t work. Welcome instructions out of date - wifi code, bin collection day, appliance instruction leaflets etc. HiFi mentioned in welcome pack non existent. Whole of upstairs extremely compact for adults.

Lovely well thought out warm property with everything you could need, including a large well equipped kitchen and a smart tv with Netflix, iplayer etc.

Plenty of National trust places, gardens etc to visit in a small radius and a short drive to Stratford upon Avon. Russell and Kate were very helpful and there if needed, but left us to ourselves all week. Would definitely book again.

The accommodation was as described and quite comfortable.

The information sent just prior to our occupying the Granary was timely and it was easy to enter and get settled.For someone used to a Queen Size bed, the double in the main room was a bit tight but in very good condition and comfortable. The kitchen very well equipped and the lounge and television well received. The only thing that was "out of order" was the timing on the hot water boiler as we weren't able to have hot, only cool, showers in the evening. We were able to overcome this the last night by defeating the timing on the boiler and having it "on" all the time. We did leave a note upon departure to let maintenance know the 5 hour difference on the boiler timer should be corrected. We were not able to do this. Over all, however, a great stay in a very clean and comfortable cottage. I would recommend this site.

We had an excellent stay in the Granary Cottage.

Everything was provided for our stay. We enjoyed collecting fruit from the orchard, turning it into jam on returning home. Thank you. It was so peaceful and quiet. Free range eggs across the lane, supermarket just up the road. We really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely cottage in a great location, Very friendly greeting form the owner, lovely orchard to wander around on site.

Everything we needed was provided, good to have a smart TV to access I Player, netflix etc. Bathroom headspace a little challenging for the taller person.

It was just right for us to enjoy the Cotswolds, the cottage was lovely and clean and in a peaceful village.

The cottage came fully equipped and a really handy guide for local places to visit. Would definitely recommend it.

This was our third visit.

It feels like home. The owner lives in the house adjacent to the cottage He is friendly and helpful. The electric car charge point is easy to use and accessible. We'll, no doubt, visit again.

Lovely cottage, clean and well fitted out.

In the grounds of the owner's house. He made us feel very welcome and was available if we had any queries, but otherwise left us to ourselves and was never intrusive. The availability of an EV charger was especially helpful. Nice quiet area but lots of places to visit nearby, Hidcote Gardens, Charlecote Park, Warwick Castle and Batsford Arboretum all well worth a visit. We had a really good time and would throughly recommend it.

Welcoming touches much appreciated.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable. Dog friendly but minor problem for us was no small enclosed area so we had to follow our dog everywhere to make sure she didn't leave unexpected mess. Would have liked a washing line. These are such small niggles. We loved our time at granary cottage. Thank you so so much.

Homely, clean & comfortable.

Well presented in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Russel had turned some lights on for us as it was dark on our arrival. Would recommend and return. The DVD player, CD player and iPod docking station need to be removed from the summary as these were not available in the cottage. Strangely, CD’s & DVD’s were supplied?

Excellent holiday accommodation.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. It is ideally placed for exploring the stunning Cotswolds

Our visit was the second stay this year.

The first was so good that we visited again

The owners were extremely hospitable and went beyond to help us.

We stayed during a period of very hot weather and found the bedrooms intolerably hot so purchased a couple of fans, these did help. The property and area are beautiful and well worth visiting.

The Granary Cottage is situated in a beautiful location for you to explore the Cotswolds.

It is homely and has everything you need for your holiday. Ideal for walking and so peaceful. Seeing the Peacocks around the village was lovely as well. The owner is also very welcoming. Would definitely recommend a stay for anybody visiting the Cotswolds.

The perfect place to relax and unwind, yet so much to see and do around the area.

An excellent location close to many National Trust houses.

Very good Co op 2 Miles away..Very comfortable and warm cottage. Friendly, helpful owners. Access encouraged to a large garden and orchard. Friendly peacocks! Electric car charging worked without a hitch. We’ll probably visit again later in the year.

It was an amazing place to stay.

We loved the comfort of the place and all the amenities. Such a luxury to have 2 toilets in a 2 bed holiday home! Our little one hasn't stopped talking about the tree house or how helpful Russell was in showing us where we could play. We loved seeing the peacocks. The cottage was brilliantly situated for walks, visiting the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon. We'd love to visit again.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage.

Situated in a quiet unspoilt village convenient for visiting the Cotswolds. Very helpful, friendly owners with access to the orchard and grounds. Lovely walks around local villages, with more tourist villages & towns not too far away. Would definitely stay again.

I rang Sykes to request an earlier access to the Granary than stated 6pm because my mother (91), is blind and it would have been helpful…No reply except a reminder of the stated situation!

Turned up at 6pm and the welcome pack said access was 4pm!??? Very annoying. The extra time would have help to assimilate for her… Owner, Russell was very pleasant and helpful when we arrived, but no further help was required. The cottage itself was lovely, comfortable and well equipped and would recommend it to anyone!

This is our 2nd Visit to The Granary and we love the cottage and area.

The Granary Cottage was beyond our expectations and provided us with exactly the accommodation we were seeking and in a location that was perfect for exploring the northern Cotswold.

The grounds of the Manor Farm House, which were easily accessible, were just perfect for short walks needed for our dog. We enjoyed the rural life of Blackwell and neighbouring villages to such an extent that another visit is on our wish list.

A beautiful cottage set in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Easy access to everything yet, out of the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas! Kate and Russell have provided the most detailed books for you with all the information you need abkut the area and are helpful to answer any questions! Highly recommend and can't wait to return ourselves!

The property was spotlessly clean.

The kitchen was really well equipped and there were thoughtful welcome goodies and information packs about the area. We received a warm welcome from the owner on arrival who showed me around the orchard and field beyond which were perfect for the children and dog to play in and had great local recommendations . All in all a fab little bolt hole for a few days.
