The Hyde

Our stay at The Hyde was amazing - beautiful house, beautiful surroundings and lovely hosts.

The ‘Welcome’ treat on arrival was much appreciated and we loved being able to enjoy the private hot tub! We will definitely return here.

From check in to departure, we couldn’t fault our stay. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. We spent a lot of time in the lovely hot tub as well as visiting nearby villages and attractions. Highly recommend and we would love to return!

The Hyde Cottage was very clean with a well stocked kitchen and lovely fireplace.

We had a wonderful stay here which was perfect for a quick getaway before Christmas.

It’s a beautiful place which feels very homely and cosy and we loved that the owners had gone to the trouble of putting up a Christmas tree and making it feel festive. The hosts were great and on hand if we needed anything. We appreciated all of the small details and the information they put together which helped us to explore the local area.

Fantastic stay in beautiful accommodation.

Location is perfect for getting out during the days and Averil (Host) provide a great welcome and loads of great guidance and super responsive to any questions we had. Stayed with our 10 month old and the setup is perfect. Would absolutely recommend to others with a baby.

Fabulous place.

Beautifully decorated and furnished. Everything you need is included and a lovely welcome gift of prosecco, fresh eggs and amazing brownies. The hot tub was fabulous and lovely at the end of a long day. The host Averil was so easy to deal with.

This was our 4th stay at The Hyde ….

.in 4 years…..which really says it all! It is a real home from home & when we arrive it’s like putting on a pair of comfy slippers. Everything you could possibly need is provided & Averil & Simon are the perfect hosts……friendly, welcoming & nothing is too much trouble! We are from the North & our friends are from the South so it is the perfect place for us all to spend a week catching up every year…..& we will definitely be back!

We had a brilliant 4 days at The Hyde, the accommodation was beautiful, very clean and in a perfect setting, ideal for travelling to different places around the Cotswolds.

The hot tub was a nice way to relax each evening. Highly recommend!

The place was spotlessly clean, and felt very luxurious. The owners were lovely and kept us updated during our stay, and their book was amazing at giving us ideas for food and local places to visit. Will love to return in the future.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy, with lots of accessory items provided (soaps Great location, just a short walk to Armscote and the Fuzzy Duck and short drives to Stratford and Chipping Campden. A definite recommendation

It's a great location for exploring the lots of beautiful villages and historic towns. The accommodation is very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

The Hyde is an exquisite hideaway that gave me and my family, the most perfect chocolate box Christmas.

A gorgeous little home from home that was beautifully presented with festive decorations and welcome treats. The hosts were warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed even at this busy time of year. The hot tub added a level of luxury that we’ve never had on Christmas Day before but hey we’re here for it!! It was fabulous! Highly recommend.

Fantastic location, 20 minutes away from all major villages and towns.

The Hyde has some of the best restaurants around the Cotswolds on its doorstep. The hosts were some of the nicest people weve ever met, who accommodated us in every way possible! The accommodation itself was impeccable. No expense spared! We will definitely be coming back! 10/10

The Hyde is designed, built and maintained to a high standard.

Located well as a base for the many attractions of the area. The use of the hot tub an added bonus. Beds comfortable. Note there is no microwave. The only negative is the traffic noise from the busy road right next to the building, even shook the building violently once when a heavy vehicle went past at speed. Perhaps wouldn't bother those used to such noise. Owner pleasant and helpful.

My family and I had a lovely few nights stay at The Hyde.

Its a beautiful little cottage in a lovely location, with everything you could possibly need and more. We will be visiting again.

Beautiful cottage with very good quality fixtures and fittings.

Unfortunately the ceiling height upstairs proved challenging for my 6ft 2in tall husband. If I’m going to nitpick, some small tables in the sitting area would be useful to put a cup or glass down. Otherwise it’s a perfectly equipped holiday home and the hot tub is a real bonus. Thank you to the owners for the welcome treats too.

.we have just come home after our 3rd stay there, which says it all! The Hyde is spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need so it’s a real home from home. The owners, Averil & Simon are fabulous too! We shall definitely stay there again!

A very clean well laid out holiday property, with good quality furnishings and linen.

Is fitted with everything you need.Beds were very comfortable. With windows open some road noise if you are not used to this.We had three adults staying, and there was plenty of room. Well situated for all the tourist attractions.

The Hyde most definitely deserves all the 5 star reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location was peaceful, surrounded by fields with easy access to Stratford Upon Avon and Warwick as well as the Cotswolds, a real gateway for lots of exploring, with some lovely villages in easy reach with fantastic pubs/eateries. The property itself was amazing, fantastic decor and spec throughout, the beds were super comfortable - best nights sleep ever - both bedrooms with lovely en suite bathrooms. The downstairs was lovely a cosy, with everything you could want for a break away from home and a gorgeous log burner. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, with views over the field and surrounded by twinkling lights, fantastic end to the days. The stars of the show were most definitely the hosts, from the welcome gifts, the service, the recommendations for local meals and even driving us to a pharmacy when our daughter was poorly. Both Simon and Averil went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay, without being intrusive. Our family does lots of these breaks and I can honestly say this has been my favourite - thank you both for being awesome, we will definitely be back!

We have stayed in many self catering properties and this is up there with the best of the best.

We arrived at the Hyde on New Year’s day after a hectic December. It was exactly what we needed: peaceful, quiet, relaxing, beautiful location and well equipped with everything we needed. There were also plenty of places to visit nearby. We (including our 10 year old son) enjoyed the hot tub. We would love to go back to the Hyde again sometime. Thanks Simon and Averil for creating such a beautiful place to stay.

The Christmas decorations, tasty treats, log fire, hot tub and immaculately cosy rooms have made this a really memorable weekend. We couldn’t have wished for a more ideal place to spend a long weekend. We are super grateful and don’t want to leave!

We have travelled extensively throughout the world, 5 and 6 star hotels. The Hyde is a real find, with excellent facilities, the hot tub was a delight at the end of a busy day. A very relaxing and enjoyable break close to many beautiful villages and gardens. Averil was a joy to meet, thank you for your hospitality Lynne and Maurice Holmes.

Comfortable and stylish bedrooms and lounge area. Kitchen area very clean and appliances easy to use. Shower was a good size and nice, strong jet of water. Well placed in the road network for touring the Cotswolds as well as visits to Midland towns and cities, particularly Stratford-upon-Avon. The brownies and eggs left for us by the owner were delicious.

An absolutely beautiful cottage in a perfect location to see all the perfect villages and attractions.

The Hyde is an incredible little place and the location is amazing with easy access to lots of great towns nearby.

Our stay couldn't have been better, it had everything we needed and it was spotless when we arrived. The hot tub is a great addition and was very relaxing on a summer's evening! The owners Averil and Simon are both lovely and so easy to get on with, I will definitely be booking it again sometime in the near future!

The Hyde is an absolute gem, nestled in the beautiful Cotswolds, and had everything we could possibly need to make our stay an enjoyable one.

From the high end fixtures and fittings to the hot tub and everything else in between, it all contributed to a beautifully relaxed week for us both. We went on many different walks and explored lots of beautiful villages, Broadway was a particular highlight for us and the walk up to the Tower provided breathtaking views. Not for the faint hearted though! We had a lovely time and would recommend to all.

The property was great, the unit was clean, comfortable and super cozy. The Hyde is perfectly situated for multiple day trips to various Cotswold's villages. We also had day trips to Blenheim Palace and Warwick Castle. The hot tub was very clean and the seating area was great too. Would definitely recommend. Perfect for up to 4 people.

The Hyde is a stunning property in easy reach of Stratford Upon Avon and the popular Cotswold villages.

We stayed there with friends and there was absolutely everything we needed…..including an abundance of different glassware……it’s the first property we’ve stayed in that has provided gin goblets, large wine glasses and glasses for fizz! Thank you S&A….drinks always taste better in the right glass!

Probably the best we have ever booked. Absolutely everything there you could possibly need and all good quality. A perfect base to explore the Cotswolds and then come home to an inviting hot tub and comfortable beds. Hosts ensured everything was available and weee on hand for any questions. Welcome arrival pack was most welcome too. I need the recipe for that brownie - it was Devine. 10/10

An excellent property.

Two comfortable double beds. Ensuite bathrooms for both - one with shower over bath; other shower only. Plenty hanging space & drawers. Dressing gowns provided. Easy parking outside, under a covered area with direct access from the front door ie you won’t get wet if it’s raining. Hot tub is in secluded area. Next to the owners own house; they were helpful with suggested restaurants etc.

The Hyde is beautifully presented, very comfortable and clean, with responsive and friendly hosts.

Ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds, although be aware property is not within a village, but easy drive to nearby villages, gardens etc.

"The Hyde" is superbly equipped and well decorated.

It lies within easy reach of many attractive Cotswold villages. We greatly enjoyed our stay there and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Our policy is to 'never go back' to our holiday destinations but . . . we may need to make an exception for "The Hyde"! Bob and Gayda Young, Beaumaris, Anglesey.

This is a very well appointed, clean, comfortable and cozy property in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas.

The owners live on site and are very helpful with local knowledge and tips if required, we would use the Hyde again.

We couldn't find fault in anything, the attention to detail and unexpected extras were a lovely treat, especially the welcoming Christmas decorations, wine and eggs. Perfectly positioned for lovely Cotswold walks, village visits and Stratford upon Avon, the property has everything you need and we left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

The Hyde was the perfect bolthole for a family suffering bereavement.

We booked at a moments' notice and were delighted to find an extremely comfortable place to stay while we were in the area dealing with the situation. There was a lovely welcome pack, a well equipped kitchen, plenty of space, comfortable beds and understanding and helpful host. What more would you need? Many thanks from the Ames family.

Averil (the host) was absolutely incredible.

She was unbelievably helpful with recommendations, quick responses, giving us extra firewood and was super friendly. She never intruded on our stay, but was on-hand to help if we asked for recommendations. The house was beautiful - really nicely done, warm & comfortable. 10/10 experience.
