The Annex is a real home from home.

Karen’s attention to detail is brilliant, everything you could possibly need is there for you to use and enjoy. From the moment we arrived and Michael greeted us and showed us around we felt at home and were assured that if we needed anything at all it would be seen to. We all enjoyed a chat and hugs before we left and we will definitely return, the Annex was a really good find. Thanks for everything

The accommodation was better than the description amd photographs conveyed.

We had a very warm welcome from our host who was available to help if we needed information or help. Many places of interest within easy reach.

We were met by Karen the friendly owner who showed us around the property and explained how things worked, also left a delicious lemon drizzle cake.

The accommodation is beautiful in a very quiet location, high quality fixtures and fittings. Great watching the wildlife, green woodpeckers, fallow deer and an otter through the lounge window. Good recommendations for food in nearby Royal Wootton Bassett contained in the information booklet, we would also recommend Il Comino Italian restaurant. Highly recommended

Superb - A gorgeous property located in the Wiltshire countryside convenient for all day trips - The owners were more than generous with arrival times and left a very famous home made cake for our enjoyment - I don’t want to say to much as you have to visit to appreciate such a wonderful clean and well organised cottage stay 10 out of 10

Had a great stay at an amazing property.

Everything available that you could wish for and all appliances are excellent quality, like a home from home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained, even during an exceptionally hot week, we had an electric fan to keep us cool. Karen & Mike were friendly and helpful giving advice on where to visit. The cottage is ideally located for day trips to Bath, Stonehenge, Cotswolds etc. We really enjoyed the adventure golf at Basset Down golf club, recommended by Mike. All in all had a great holiday, would definitely recommend & return.

Another fantastic stay at the Annex!

Absolutely love staying there, everything is spot on! Karen and Michael are wonderful hosts and make you feel so welcome. The cleanliness and maintenance is top notch and it is our favourite place to stay. We have visited a number of times and look forward to returning next year.

A well furnished, decorated and equipped property.

Lot of things available that aren't in other properties eg air fryer, extension leads. Nothing was too much trouble for Karen the owner. Very worthy of 5 stars.

The Annex accomodation is the best bungalow we have ever stayed in.

The Annex is top of the range in accomodation, cleanliness, facilities.Large bedrooms and the lounge/kitchen is more than you can ask for. Walk in showers are great and recommend for people who might have problems with walking. Please give The Annex a visit

A wonderful place!

Big garden, very quiet, very clean, super equiped (more than you need!), very warm welcome with a delicious cake! Perfect!

Karen who is super friendly met us on arrival, to show us around and explain everything, she also left us a delicious lemon drizzle cake and a starter of milk which was very much appreciated.

The bungalow is so comfortable, and well kitted out, plenty of crockery, cutlery pots and pans to make a decent meal, there is also an air fryer which was great, a cafetiere and so much more The beds in both bedrooms were very comfortable, and the ensuites fantastic. There is a DVD player, which is very easy to use. Very quite great location lots to do and see nearby, you do need a car, Nice restaurants in town, Butchers Mate open 2 nights a month Friday and Saturday, well worth checking out, they do a special menu needs to be booked well in advance Sainsburys right in the middle of town with plenty of parking. Once again thank you for a fab 2 weeks

This was our 8th stay at the Annex and, as usual, loved this place.

If I were to compare this self catering accommodation with others of the same kind on a points basis from 1 to 10, this would get 10/10, the rest 5/10, it's that good. Why not try for yourself !!

Perfect accommodation and perfect hosts.

The Annex was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed at and there have been a few.

Karen was a lovely host. The lemon welcome cake was delicious. You had everything you could need. The setting was very peaceful and relaxing.

My wife and I had a lovely 5 night stay at The Annex over the Christmas period.

The property is immaculate - spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a peaceful location with beautiful outlook from the full length window in the lounge area. We were warmly welcomed by Karen and Michael, the friendly owners, who live close by in the main house - a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake was also there to greet us along with a small bottle of milk, which was handy. We had full control of the heating so were able to adjust it to our liking. Previous experience of holiday properties has taught us that the comfort of beds can be a matter of personal taste and so we were glad that we took a couple of single mattress toppers with us as the beds seemed a bit on the hard side for our liking. Overall I would say this is one of the best holiday properties we have stayed in and we will certainly be happy to stay here if we visit this area again.

The Annex was perfect, it was clean, cosy, and in a great location.

The fixtures and appliances were all quality items which made for a great stay.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming, feels like home.

We love this place. It is restful and peaceful. The accommodation is immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped. Supermarket is a 7 minute drive away which is handy.

We had a wonderful relaxing and very comfortable stay at The Annex, everything was perfect, including the lovely lemon cake that awaited us on arrival.

Michael and Karen were great hosts, very friendly and welcoming and should be very proud of how the property is presented. Will certainly recommend to friends and family and hopefully return one day.

Another fabulous stay at The Annex.

So luxurious, yet comfortable; everything you could need, they have provided. This time, they even provided deers in the evening. The bird table is still the highlight .. spent a small fortune of bird food but worth every penny .. finches, woodpeckers, lots of variety. When you go .. and you definitely should go .. please take some nuts and bits for the birds and the squirrels.

It's very comfortable and equipped with everything you will need - all to the highest standards. The living room looks out onto greenery and trees with sheep in the background. So peaceful. Karen and Michael go to a lot of effort to make their guests welcome, including a very tasty lemon drizzle cake on arrival! Great place for visiting the lovely Cotswolds countryside and pretty Market towns.

Quite simply The Annex is perfect!

We have had another wonderful break, this is the only holiday lodge we have stayed multiple times and look forward to staying again next year. The cleanliness, facilities and surroundings are fantastic and it is evident no expense is spared to keep the lodge in tip top condition. Karen and Michael are fabulous hosts and take such pride in ensuring guests have a wonderful stay.

Great Host, welcome & welcome pack, location & facilities all brilliant.

One of the best cottages we have stayed at (we have stayed at many). The bird watching was excellent and watched the parent Greater Spotted Woodpecker feeding suet pellets too their young.

This is one of, if not the, best appointed and well equipped holiday lets we have ever visited.

No expense or effort has been spared to make it comfortable. The annex is superb and everything seems to have been thought of. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were told by Karen to ask for anything we needed during our stay. Thank you for an excellent holiday.

We've just had the most wonderful few days at The Annex.

We were met by Michael and a poorly Karen and given a welcome tour of the property, including a gorgeous homemade, still warm, lemon drizzle cake. The property was spectacular, Michael and Karen have thought of everything. It was the best equipped cottage we've ever been to. It was spotlessly clean and in immaculate condition. We loved watching the birds and fat squirrel that visited every day. We loved it so much that within 24 hours of arriving, we booked to come back in July!

We had a very pleasant and peaceful week at the Annex.

It was spotless comfortable and well equipped with a nice setting overlooking lawns a stream and farmland. Wootten Basset was 5 minutes in one direction and the rolling downs of Wiltshire in the other. Many thanks to our hosts Karen and Mike for their warm welcome and hospitality.

We enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you to Karen and Michael for the friendly welcome and the most delicious lemon cake we have ever eaten (and that was a few ;-) ). From here we have visited many trips and Christmas markets including Windsor Castle and so on. We would love to come back to enjoy this really well equipped and cosy accommodation again.

This has to be one of the best holiday properties we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a few over the years!

The Annex was very spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. So quiet and peaceful, and a joy to watch the various birds feeding from the bird table in the large garden. The Annex is without doubt the BEST holiday accommodation I have stayed in in the UK Karen and Michael have thought of everything to make their guests feel more than at home !

The property is absolutely beautiful well maintained and clean Its location is perfect too for visiting places of interest Glorious views also from the lounge window Can’t rate it highly enough!

A warm welcome and nothing too much for our comfort.

The facilities were A1 and the beds and furnishings very comfortable indeed. Top quality cottage. Such pretty views. We loved it there! NB. re the accuracy: The SatNav doesn't take you to the door actually and the sign to The Barnhill Farm and The Annex don't especially stand out as you drive past. Take the road to Clyffe Pypard/ Bushton from Broad Town and it is about quarter of a mile on the left.

If you want a lovely relaxing holiday in great accommodation the annexe ticks all the boxes.

It was a delight to sit in the cottage with the lambs in the field across the stream. We had a fair amount of rain and didn’t mind having to return to the cottage for shelter as it was so comfortable. Would be glad to return.

This is the second year that we have been to The Annex, and once again it didn't disappoint.

Karen is a wonderful host, and after greeting us with a warm welcome, left us to our own devices for the rest of the week. The Annex has everything you need for a great stay, two en suite bedrooms, a large living room with a huge tv, a large table for eating at and playing games, and a kitchen with every tool and gadget you could ask for. There is a big picture window, and if you fill the feeders you will see a plethora of wild birds, and watch out for the Great Spotted Woodpecker! A fantastic place to stay at any time of year.

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas despite a week of wind and rain . Not fit to do much exploring but did visit Lacock and Calne. Wootton Bassett has an attractive high street and many independent shops. Set in pretty countryside with a nice view of the brook from the patio window. A lovely relaxing break.

A really good place to stay.

Nice introduction to property by he host. The Annexe was spotless, well equipped and warm. Comfortable beds and all the facilities were working. Only thing we could not find was a toast rack!! Best recommendation I can give is that we would stay again.

Our family of four adults had a very comfortable week's stay at The Annex.

The property is spotlessly clean and well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and the outside space is private and relaxing with wonderful birdlife (owls, buzzards, woodpeckers to name a few) and country views. Karen was very welcoming and on hand if we needed anything. The only thing that could have made our stay any better (and it's being picky really) would have been a quicker way to access the garden and outside seating area, but we completely understand the owner's reasons for this and it doesn't take anything away from the 5 star rating The Annex deserves. Finally, we can highly recommend a takeaway from Ganges indian restaurant in Wootton Bassett: excellent!

Everything has been provided to ensure you have a home away from home stay. Michael and Karen are helpful and accommodating and even provide tea and cake upon arrival. A quiet rural setting and a good base for seeing some of the Cotswolds. I would definitely recommend the Annexe.

We received such a warm welcome from Karen and Michael, and the lemon cake was absolutely delicious. The Annex is beautifully furnished, clean and everything you could wish for is provided. The super king size bed and pillows were so comfortable and the bedding was of the best quality. The location is beautiful, easy reach of most things and lovely to sit and watch the sheep and birds, but it would have been good to have been able to walk out from the lounge onto the patio.

This beautiful property has to be the best one we have stayed in during the may years we have used Sykes Cottages.

The care and attention to every part of the property, even down to the majority of sockets having USB chargers, is exceptional. It is warm, comfortable and a delight to sit in the sun room looking out over the countryside.Thank you to Karen for her friendly greeting, helpfulness and kindness. We've booked to return later in the year, which we've not done before in a holiday property, so no need to say anymore!

Having stayed at countless holiday rentals over many years, I can honestly say this is one of the cleanest and best equipped I have encountered.

All appliances are of highest quality and there is every piece of equipment you could possibly want in the kitchen. I would certainly recommend it.

We are seasoned travellers and have stayed over the years in many excellent accommodations and are delighted to report that this ranks one of the top if not "the top".

If you want to stay somewhere that is immaculately clean, is comfortable with very well appointed rooms you can do no better. Couple this with a lovely peaceful outlook and hosts who are friendly, informative and obviously take great pride in making sure that their guests have everything they could possibly need, everthing and everyone is catered for. The location is perfect, if you wish to dine out there are lots of choices from cafes serving snacks to restaurants serving delicious meals. There are too many places to mention to visit and again lots of choices depending on whether you wish to drive within a short distance or to travel that extra few miles. We have already booked for next year and this time intend to stay for two weeks rather than one. Thank you again to Karen and Michael.

Spent an excellent week at the Annex.

Spotless accommodation and very well equipped. A very relaxing location perfect as a base for travelling around the area. Karen was very friendly and informative on arrival and was always on hand if you needed her. Lovely touch of a nice lemon cake and ability to make a drink on your arrival.

We have used Sykes around 40 times over the last 15 years and this one was by far the best.

Karen is obviously very proud of her property and so she should be. It is spotless, very comfortable and very well equipped. The greeting from Karen on arrival was marvellous and nothing was too much trouble, including asking for a fan as it was so hot. If I had to find fault and believe me it Is very difficult to find one, it would be fantastic if they reopened the bi fold doors so that you could feel at one with the countryside but that really is just a personal thing. We will definitely return. Thank you Karen for being so caring when we had to leave suddenly due to my elderly father being taken I’ll.

You would find it very difficult to find anything else with the high standards that The Annex has - it is beautiful comfortable clean and extremely good value for money compared to other properties Karen & Michael ( owners) have thought of everything ( well apart from a butter dish apparently

This was our 4th stay at this cottage, 2019, 2020, 2021 and now 2022.

As before, this cottage was exceptional in all regards, so it came as a big surprise when I read the feedback from the previous occupant. I am a retired Fireman (25 years with the London Fire Brigade), with two replacement knees, two arthritic hips and a serious back problem that I have to enter hospital for on the 1st and 15th June, in order to have two procedures carried out. I forgot to mention that I will be 74 in June and my wife will be 75 in July. If I honestly thought that my means of escape were compromised in any way at this cottage I would not have returned on the last 3 occasions. Even with my limited mobility I would still be able to get out through the windows if the need arose. There are windows in each of the two bedrooms, one in each of the two en suite bathrooms and two further windows in the lounge area,a total of 6 in all. I can only assume from the previous occupant's feedback that they stayed for the whole week - if they were that worried about means of escape I should imagine that they would not have stayed. I am very sorry to be a harbinger of doom but that is just the way I see it. My wife and I will certainly be returning to the Annex !!

We enjoyed our stay, the bungalow was spotless and well equipped.

There were a couple of things that We thought should have been provided: a proper mirror in each of the bedrooms and a larger caffetier. We had a concern about the patio doors in the sitting area being sealed up. there is only one other door in the property and that's In the kitchen, and In the event of a fire, the kitchen door is the only means of escape. Yes it's a bungalow but the Windows don't seem to open wide enough to make an escape easy. We did raise this issue with Karen who has said she will look into it, and do a risk assessment.

Really nice place to stay, the owner is friendly and there are a lot of nice touches like cake on arrival.

We were expecting a good standard from the listing and pictures, what we got was outstanding.

The attention to detail by the owners is what makes it work. The whole layout is spacious, coupled with the quiet surroundings in a rural setting overlooking open fields is welcoming. There was nothing negative about this property.

Karen is extremely friendly,helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.

We were welcomed on our arrival and shown how to use the electrics which was very helpful, it made our stay completely relaxed and easy. We have stayed in many many self catering accomodations but The Annex is by far the best equipped by far. We have all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back as soon as possible. Restful break away.

Probably the most well provided for Self-Catering property we have ever stayed at.

All of the equipment and fittings are top branded names which adds an ambience of luxury to your stay. You'll want for nothing in the kitchen - there's a wealth of utensils, and again none of the cheap and nasty kind you often find in holiday lets. Although situated in the grounds of the owner's property there is still total privacy in the outside seating area and magnificent sun-lounge. Thoroughly recommended.

It is a delight to find somewhere where the cleanliness is second to none and the greeting from the owners likewise. You could not wish to find a more relaxing, peaceful getaway from home !! Hopefully, we will return next year.

The annexe is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in.

Exceptionally clean, spacious, comfy bed, plenty of storage, everything you could possibly want when away from home. Karen met us when we arrived and showed us how to use everything and I must say left us a scrumptious piece of homemade cake. The setting was ideal as we could go out on our bikes straight onto the country lanes. Extremely quiet at night so a good nights sleep was had too. I could go on and on but this was just perfect for us. Thank you !

The Annexe goes beyond the standard of a good holiday let.

It's exceptionally spacious, equipped to a high standard and the cleanliness was outstanding. Located close to Royal Wootton Bassett, which has both local shops and supermarkets, there are plenty of places of interest nearby. It's also well-placed to explore some of the iconic attractions of the West of England. This has to be the best cottage we've rented in approaching four decades!

We really enjoyed our week away with so much space inside and out we were able to relax.

Karen, our host, gave us a wonderful welcome on arrival with a full walk round the property and instructions on how to use the appliances. She also stressed that we should treat the place as our own and not worry if anything did get broken. She couldn't have been nicer. She also made us a couple of homemade cakes during our stay. No fault of our host or yourselves, but we had assumed the numerous 'rights of way' marked on the OS Explorer map for the area would provide us with an ample range of walks for the week without needing to use the car. However, no footpaths or bridleways around us were accessible because Wiltshire County Council and land owners had not maintained them. Therefore, we needed to travel to The Ridgeway and other byways for walking. Other walkers we met were also complaining and we think the situation could put people off visiting Wiltshire for walking holidays. This would be a shame as the countryside looked so beautiful.

We had a wonderful time at Karen's property, The Annex.

Situated a few miles out of Wootton Bassett it's situated in the grounds of Karen's home, siding onto a small river surrounded by open fields (which were full of sheep when we were staying). Parking was easy right outside the front door of the property. Karen had made us a lovely Lemon Drizzle cake on our arrival which we really enjoyed. The bedrooms were huge, each with substantial en suite facilities which were ideal for me and my husband, travelling with my elderly mother. Karen made sure that our stay was comfortable and would have helped in anyway that she could. We would recommend The Annex to anyone wanting a good location to explore this area (we travelled to Oxford, Highclere, Malmesbury, Wotton Bassett and Marlborough, all within an hour of the property). 10/10

What a lovely place to come back to.

Perfect place to relax.

The Annex is just perfect in every way The owners have thought of everything to make their guests feel totally relaxed & happy Both bedrooms have their own en suites - (one with a jacuzzi bath )which most properties don’t have - so this to me is a wonderful extra!

The property is also close to various attractions such as various NT gardens, the splendid Bowood House & the Cotswolds wildlife park. This was my third stay @ The Annex so that speaks for itself!

This was our 2nd visit.

We don’t normally return to the same holiday accommodation but the Annex had everything we needed. With en-suite facilities and was very safe for our elderly Mum. Friending helpful hosts Karen and family. Lovely and clean and comfortable. Baked us some delicious cakes. Annex has a lovely sunroom attached with beautiful views of the garden. Great for watching the birds.

The Annex is, by far, the best self catering accommodation we have used.

This was our second visit and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend this property.

A truly beautiful bungalow.

The photos on the site are very accurate, but it’s much better in real life. Everything was spotlessly clean and we felt very safe in these troubling times. We were given a very warm welcome by Karen who took time to show us around the bungalow and explain everything to us. She also helped me to unload my car and had left us a delicious cake, milk, teabags and coffee which were much needed after our journey. My Mum is 91 and had been isolating so she had been looking forward to this holiday. We spent our days exploring around the area and enjoying lunches out. Karen is a wonderful host and we will certainly return next year .

We went during a time when my friend and I were trying to isolate as much as possible.

Because of this we hardly went out and couldn’t have found a better place to stay in. It was very clean and comfortable with nice surroundings. Everything was really well done. We would be happy to go back. Next time we would explore the area more. Recommend it.

The Annex was absolutely fantastic with everything of the very highest standard.

Despite the problems of the Vovid19 it was very clear the Annex was so very clean and well presented and a credit to everyone concerned. We would have no hesitation in booking again at this tranquil and beautiful location.

An amazing, spotless, high end bungalow with everything imaginable in it.

Relaxation, privacy and tranquility all in abundance here. Just what we needed in this busy life. We even saw a deer, just magical.

This cottage was the best we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages over the years,every room was perfect and clean, looking out to all the greenery from the sitting room was just so relaxing we even saw some deer.

We intended to do a lot of sightseeing, but we stayed in more than we went out, the place just gives you a feeling of total relaxation. The owner Karen made us feel so welcome, a home made cake was waiting for us and it was lovely we can`t wait to go back.

Fantastic place, super clean, everything you could possibly need, comfy beds and a fantastic view.

A great cottage, everything you could need and more.

Lovely welcome from Karen including the lovely lemon drizzle cake. The cottage was so spotless and larger than the photos show we didn't want to leave and hope to go back when the weather is a little better.

The Annex exceeded our expectations Karen the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need it even had Birthday candles, the pictures do not do it justice it is allot bigger than it looks in the photos, it is in the perfect location quiet for watching the wildlife looking over fields but about a mile from Royal Wootton Bassett which has everything you would need.

The Annex was spotlessly Clean and nothing was too much trouble even when I phoned to say we would be arriving late and breaking a glass, I would definitely recommend it, its close to Longleat Safari Park about 1 hour drive, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Swindon, Bath to name just a few perfect base for exploring Wiltshire which is beautiful.

The Annex was beautiful - we were very happy with the accommodation, a furniture and décor were to a very high standard.

A peaceful and pretty spot for a relaxing break. We enjoyed watching the deer and other wildlife from the comfort of the cottage. The bed was very comfortable, a long time since we slept in past 8 am! We would be happy to stay here again next time we pop down to visit our Wiltshire friends. This holiday let has so much enthusiasm put into it.

Standards are very high. Nothing is to much trouble e.g. we were eating outside and had taken a table from the conservatory, we had also taken paper plates to use on nice evenings. Next morning outside plates etc were bought down plus a table and 4 chairs. We couldn’t have asked for more. The cleanliness of the let was outstanding, and the complementary Lemon Drizzle cake, amazing. It’s situation is ideal for visiting places, the M4 a few miles away ideal. We will be back that is for sure, great place, fantastic owners who make you feel so welcome. Thank you for a seriously memorable holiday.

My Husband and I stayed here for an escape and that is exactly what we got.

The Annex itself is a beautiful cottage which is so well equipped it really is a home from home. The immediate surroundings of the Annex are so peaceful with wildlife all around. We will definitely be returning, thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful accommodation- absolutely faultless.

Great location too as there are many places of interest close by such as Avebury Manor, Lacock Abbey ( both NT ), Lydiard Park, Bowood House & the Cotswolds Animal Park. We were extremely lucky with the weather for our week which was the icing on the cake !

The annex was in a beautiful setting and we would love to go there again, it was well equipped and comfortable.

Looked at the reviews before booking, and thought that it sounded almost too good to be true....but they were right! The immediate impression on arrival was of the spaciousness of the accommodation, and the quality of the furnishings and decor - the descriptions and pictures do not do it justice. The whole property was spotlessly clean, and the level of equipment provided was unbelievable. Karen and Mike were very welcoming and helpful, and we felt more like friends than visitors. Without a doubt this is the best self catering holiday we have ever had....what more can I say?

The Annex is an ideal place for a relaxing break.

It is spacious, clean and tidy accommodation set in wonderful surroundings, so peaceful and relaxing. quaint The owners Karen and Mike were so pleasant and helpful and Karens Lemon drizzle is delicious. Ideal for visiting the quaint little towns and villages or just sitting having a relaxing time having a chat while watching the birds and animals in the fields from the conservatory. We all agreed we would love to stay at the Annex again in the future.

Lovely, peaceful, rural location with view across stream and fields.

Very kind and considerate hosts. Close to all amenities, Ridgeway, Avebury, and Wessex Downs AONB and lots of other great places to visit. Great walking on the Ridgeway and White Horse Way. Immaculate, luxurious, high specification and very spacious and comfortable accommodation; modern and extremely well equipped, light and airy. A pleasure to stay in. Secluded, private and not overlooked. We enjoyed the main bungalow and the attached conservatory and we enjoyed the patio, big lawned garden area by the stream and the walk around the owners' fields. Ample parking outside the property. Outstanding!

The Annex is a very comfortable and spotlessly clean home from home in a lovely countryside setting.

Every convenience and comfort has been provided; from the beautiful wooden floors, lovely modern functional kitchen, huge dining table (there were 8 of us for lunch!), through to the blissful beds, this is one of the nicest holiday homes we have had the pleasure to stay in within the UK. Karen the owner is a lovely lady, she met us on arrival and gave us a tour and explanation of how everything worked and could not have been more helpful. Thank you so much for everything, we hope to return again in the future.

Everything about The Annex is top quality.

It’s a fabulous place to stay & has the advantage of two gorgeous en suites . It also has a large bed in both the bedrooms which is a plus as most places only offer 1 large bed & a single . My friend & I loved it so much we rebooked for next year before we even got home ! The Annex is also EXCELLENT value for money . Ten out of ten !!!

We had an absolutely lovely holiday!

It started with a very warm welcome from Karen & Michael. They took the time to show us how the white goods and equipment worked, which was really useful. The Annex is fabulous and although there are many pictures, it’s more beautiful in person! The Annex is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The setting is lovely and relaxing and although it is an Annex of the main property, it doesn’t feel like it, nor are the family intrusive. However, we had a very tricky predicament one evening and Karen came to our rescue with good humour! There were 4 of us staying for 2 weeks and we all were sad to leave and would have loved to stay for longer. We usually cruise and go to exotic places but this holiday is one of the best for all of us.

The accommodation was excellent very clean Karen & Mike were very welcoming we. We were welcomed with a lemon drizzle cake which went down very well with a cup of tea It was the best holiday we have had for a long time helped of course by the exceptional weather

This beautiful cottage was a perfect venue for a weeks holiday.

The owners who lived next door were very kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. I have never had a welcome to a holiday cottage like this one. We were met personally and showed around the cottage so that we became well acquainted with all the equipment. Beautiful linen on the beds and the softest towels imaginable. A television that actually worked and was easy to manage completed the package. Our comfort and practical needs were met with every expectation of the perfect holiday home.

. we arrived around half an hour early which wasn't a problem. A wealth of information is available from her and her husband and the 'Welcome cakes' were much appreciated. Highly recommended to everyone!

Renting this cottage for a couple's new years getaway was a wonderful idea.

The space was great, the rooms were big, the view was incredible and was the centrepiece of the living room and our host has literally thought of everything for us. We decided to cook over 10 small plates and the facility had everything we needed to bake, prepare and the table even extended to fit everything on. A big thank you to our host!
