This year, The Big Feastival takes place from Friday 26th August – Sunday 28th August.

On Friday, the campsites and car parks open at 8 am. That gives you plenty of time to get your weekend home prepared for the festival arena to open at 11 am.

While the music and food are on at the festival from Friday to Sunday, campers have until 11 am on Monday 29th August to pack up and start their journey home.

The Big Festival 2022 takes place at Alex James’ farm near Kingham.

That is in the northern half of the Cotswolds and near Stow-on-the-Wold and Daylesford.

But the Cotswolds isn’t somewhere you should only visit during a music festival.

There are many things to do in the Cotswolds with your friends and family all year round.

In 2011, Jamie Oliver (famousTV Chef) and Alex James (bassist from Blur) started The Big Feastival.

It is a combination of family-friendly music and delicious food.

Since 2013, Taste Festivals has organised The Big Feastival. The same organisers of the Taste of Amsterdam and Taste of London festival.

For 2022, The Big Feastival will host music from The Human League, Anne Marie, Stereophonics and the Sugababes.

But that isn’t all. The festival is jam-packed and full of musical performances from 12 pm to 12:30 am.

And, for those of us that don’t want the party to stop, you can see DJ sets from the likes of Basement Jaxx and Marcus Gaskell.

The festival is a great way to see some of the world’s best chefs.

You can head to one of the table sessions to ask your favourite chefs a question or see a collection of demonstrations on the Big kitchen stage.

If you want to hone your own skills, the M&S cookery school is a great place to learn more.

Some chefs you can see over the weekend include Ranveet Gill, James Cochran, Benjamina Ebuehi and DJ BBQ.

The Big Feastival is perfect for a family-friendly weekend.

Not only do they provide a lineup for adults, but there is also a great selection of activities to keep the kids entertained.

At the Feastival, you can see live shows from Aardman Animations, Andy & The Odd Socks, Justin Fletcher and the Farm Yard Circus.

Over the years, The Big Feastival has improved accessibility for its visitors.

They aim to make the festival open to as many people as possible and will go above and beyond to make your visit unforgettable.

Personal Assistants

Free tickets will be available for a personal assistant to accompany any standard adult ticket holders that need additional assistance.

You may need to provide the relevant documentation to support your request for an additional complimentary ticket.

Throughout the festival, there are accessible toilets, showers and water stations. There is also an accessible campsite that has a charging point.

As you head into the main festival arena, you can find a raised viewing area to watch all your favourite artists and chefs.

If you have any questions or concerns at the Feastival, please speak to one of the stewards on duty.

Assistance Dogs

Official assistance dogs are allowed into the festival. However, they must be recognised by the Assistance Dogs UK organisation.

If you need to bring an assistance dog, email the enquiries team before the event.

Hearing Loops

The Big Feastival 2022 aims to promote the festival to as many people as possible.

That is why the main stages at the festival will have accessible hearing loops to enhance your experience.
