If you’re planning to visit the Cotswolds this year, a trip to the Cotswolds Distillery visitor centre is a must.

Set in the rolling countryside in Stourton, the distillery has won a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice award for the past three years, as well as a VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction award.

Read on for our guide to why you should take a trip the Cotswolds Distillery… even if drinking gin and whisky isn’t your thing.

Experiences

To fully experience the distillery, there are several experiences you can book onto.

The Tour and Tasting experience is available three times a day and lasts 90 minutes. At Manor Cottages, we highly recommend booking this one.

From learning about the history of the distillery and sampling the delights of Cotswolds Gin and whisky, there is so much to learn and enjoy.

Gin and whisky tasting

The last segment of the tour takes you to the tasting room where you can sample the award-winning Cotswolds Gin, learn tasting notes and pair with different tonics.

You’ll also be able to sample the award-winning Cotswold Whiskies too.

The tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable, and you’ll leave the experience a pro in spirit tasting!

Café

At the Distillery visitor centre, you must check out The Still House café on site.

Named as such because the view from the café looks over the still house of the distillery so you can truly watch the magic unfold.

Enjoy a bite to eat after your tour or meet friends over drinks. Treat yourself to a delicious stone baked pizza in front of the roaring fire.

In the summer months, the terrace outside of the incredible building opens for gorgeous alfresco dining in the Cotswold sunshine.

Shop

You absolutely cannot leave the distillery visitor centre without visiting the shop which stocks an incredible array of Cotswold Gin products, Cotswold Whiskies and gifts.

Here you can taste samples of products meaning you can try before you buy!
