Think of the Cotswolds and you’ll probably think of the countryside, relaxation, and peace and quiet. And you would be right to think of those things, of course, because they’re all very Cotswolds. But they’re not all the Cotswolds is about. You can have a great and relaxing stay in a holiday cottage in the Cotswolds while enjoying great and exciting nights out as well.

Stay in Beautiful Burford.

Something the Cotswolds does exceedingly well, is a great night out at the local pub. Mingle with the locals and enjoy the taste of some local food and drink too. The Angel at Burford is a great find, situated on a side street to the High Street in popular Burford, offering great food and drink and owned by Cotswold brewery, Hook Norton. Many a great night can be had at The Angel for visitors, tourists and locals alike.


A magical night out in Cheltenham.

The nightclub scene is hot and happening in Cheltenham and a place like Lily Gins in Montpelier is where it’s all happening when you’re looking for a late night full of drinks, cocktails and dancing. The place often invites live musicians in to play and one night a month they have a resident magician, Richard Parsons, who comes in to put a magical spin on things.


Stay in Picture Perfect Chipping Campden.

Ilmington is home to the Red Lion, and is highly-rated by those who have been there. Settled right in the heart of the village, it has a hearty and traditional menu and you could spend an entire evening sampling some drinks and enjoying the cosy atmosphere and socializing with locals from near and far.


Stay in Wonderful Chipping Norton.

If you’ve already eaten at your holiday cottage in the Cotswolds, maybe heading out for a night at the theatre would be more appealing. Chipping Norton has its own theatre that regularly offers tickets to a wide variety of shows. It is best to check in advance to see what’s on when you are in town. You can book ahead of time to make sure you have a chance to see something.


Stay in Slad near Stroud.

The Crown and Sceptre in Stroud has also made quite a name for itself with fun themed nights to spice up their already amazing foods, enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, this one seriously fun night out.


One thing is for sure, Wherever you go in the Cotswolds, the evenings need not be quiet!
