“The property is absolutely stunning and we loved staying here.”

The garden is beautiful and we spent a lot of time sat outside. The location of the house is perfect. A little shop opposite for supplies and a 3 minute walk from a pub that does the most amazing burgers! Our stay was certainly 10/10 and I would recommend this house to anyone. We would love to come and stay again in the future. The only things I would add is it would be good to have some simple instructions for the oven (mainly what the signs mean for using the main part of the oven) ...

We would love to come and stay again in the future. The only things I would add is it would be good to have some simple instructions for the oven (mainly what the signs mean for using the main part of the oven) and also how to work the TV’s. We only ever managed to get the front room TV working, none of the others. I know other guests mentioned this but the first floor bathroom only had a handheld shower and no blinds on the window so we all ended up using the shower upstairs which was a little annoying. Don’t want to end on a sour note as we honestly had the best stay so thank you so much!!!

The property

The Old Post Office, located in one of the most charming villages in the area, is a true Cotswolds' jewel.

You won't be surprised to learn that it used to be the village post office, with dwelling quarters spread out over the three stories.

It has had a total renovation and is now furnished and decorated in a cool, contemporary design, all the while preserving a tonne of character and charm.

The spacious and exquisitely decorated lounge is located on the ground level and is furnished with big, cushy sofas that are ideal for watching the newest shows on the big flatscreen TV or simply unwinding with a nice book.

This leads into a sizable dining room with a fireplace, which is the ideal place to savour your newest culinary creation and pass the time with family or friends.

The gorgeous farmhouse-style kitchen with its magnificent vaulted ceiling is located at the back of the home, with views across the charming, fenced garden.

You could also curl up by yet another log-burner if you wanted a little peace and quiet.

With the four bedrooms distributed throughout the two upper stories, the rooms are roomy and can easily accommodate eight guests.

Three bedrooms—two doubles and one twin—are located on the first floor and share a recently renovated family bathroom.

A lucky couple can enjoy spectacular views of the village and surrounding countryside from the master bedroom, a gorgeous suite on the top level.

There is a sizable garden outside with a grassy area, a terrace, and plenty of seats.

The property is in the centre of the community, as you might expect from a historic post office, and is immediately across the street from an award-winning local store that sells a variety of fruit.

The New Inn, a fantastic village bar, is also nearby and can be found around 100 yards down a lane from your front door.

The Coln Valley-based community is one of the Cotswolds' premier destinations, offering countless opportunities for strolls and bike rides just outside your door.

The famous village of Bibury is about two miles distant, and Burford and Cirencester are only a short drive away.

Overall, The Old Post Office is a great spot to unwind and take in all that this beautiful and undeveloped region of The Cotswolds has to offer.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £400.
