“The cottage is lovely, beds super comfortable, lovely log burner which we really enjoyed using (turned the heating down first - it wasn’t cold inside!”

) and it was great that the owner supplied logs, kindling and all the necessary. The lounge lacked any side tables to put a cup / glass on but we managed. Great having a dishwasher and I don’t go on holiday to do laundry so don’t care about no washing machine, however, I love to cook and found some things a bit challenging without a microwave, also no potato peeler or cheese grater! Otherwise, though, it was well equipped with top quality cookware and crockery. I resisted the temptation ...

I resisted the temptation to lift a couple of my favourite halo Denby plates on departure! Do take note re the tricky stairs, I didn’t struggle but my mum was super cautious and wished there were more hand rails. Overall a lovely spot to stay and having Blenheim Palace Park literally outside the back of the cottage was great for dog walks.
