Milton Under Wychwood, Burford & surrounding area
With wisteria clad walls draped across the outside of this old cottage, you don't need to look too hard to work out what this holiday home is called! Wisteria Cottage is a homely and attractive holiday cottage, very popular with repeat guests and you can see why. It is tucked away with a secluded courtyard garden right in the heart of this attractive village in classic Cotswolds' countryside. Inside the cottage has a real sense of space with the huge living room very appealing and with a cosy-warm wood burning stove making the cottage just as ideal for winter as for summer. The newly kitted kitchen is a joy and offers a lovely view towards the playing fields and hills in the distance. Upstairs are two large bedrooms, with top notch mattresses - so a good night awaits!
No more than 30 yards away is a superb pub "The Hare in Milton" (glowingly reviewd by Giles Coren in The Times Magazine) which is causing a stir locally with its excellent food; and if you wish you can choose from three good pubs all of which are within a mile, so you could almost dine out every meal if you wish! Being surrounded by stunning countryside means you are minutes from a refreshing walk too. For children, the playing field across the lane has swings etc. Wisteria Cottage is a little gem at a super price in an absolutely top notch location - what's not lto like!?

Milton Under Wychwood is one of three villages named after it's surrounding forest, Wychwood Forest, the others being Shipton Under Wychwood and Ascott Under Wychwood. Tucked away in its quiet location, the village has great access to other local villages such as Burford, Kingham, where the famous Daylesford Farmshop is based.
Wisteria Cottage has a good Co-Op shop around the corner for your daily shopping needs. We'd heartily recommend getting your walking boots out as there are some superb walks across the countryside from the door, while the popular market towns of Chipping Norton and Stow on the Wold are approx 10 mins drive away. You're right in the heart of the Cotswolds for sure. The ever-popular Bourton-on-the-Water is just 15 mins away.
There are two very good pubs about 15 mins walk away, The Shaven Crown, The Lamb and The Wychwood, both well recommended and welcoming children and can be reached via a pleasant walk across the fields. Within 3 mins of the cottage is a great local shop.
Other famous locations including The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Woodstock (Blenheim Palace) are no more than 15/20 mins away, while Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham and Cirencester are easily accessible for a day trip.
