Painswick, All Cotswolds locations
WOW! Located in the village of Cranham, approximately 3 miles from Painswick, Lakeside Cottage is in one of the most spectacular locations in the Cotswolds. It is simply stunning, breathtaking and just perfect! Perched on the hillside and overlooking rolling countryside with lakes below it is one of those 'never to be forgotten' views. Built with local Cotswold stone, the cottage has been carefully renovated by the current owners, who have created and maintained the most spotless holiday home imaginable. The cottage, which is all one level and ideal for those with some limited mobility, is large and spacious throughout, very private and thoroughly 5 star in our opinion. The views are spectacular whatever the weather, with a wooded valley and two lakes your vista is totally unspoilt and typically 'Cotswolds'. We think you are unlikely to ever forget it. Internally the cottage is immaculate, there are two large bedrooms with luxury beds and each ensuite, the log burner adds to the cosy appeal and of course it has all mod cons. The Cottage also offers Superfast broadband and an adequate phone signal.
Peace, tranquility and a convenient location make this an amazing holiday cottage choice that we're convinced will have you returning! Walks around the surrounding village are beautiful and if you are keen, a trip to Laurie Lee's favourite pub The Woolpack is well worth the time. Outstanding.

The cottage enjoys uninterrupted views from its private location. The Cottage is entirely self-contained, with its own private grounds and access, from where it enjoys magnificent uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside There is a 'crow's nest' deck area which is built into the hillside with table and chairs which is accessible via some steps down.. There are many walks to choose from direct from the front door.
Sorry No Pets. The Cottage also offers Superfast broadband and an adequate phone signal. Guests with children (specifically aged 2-5yrs) are advised of the steep drop down to the lakes. The owners and Manor Cottages would like to bring to your attention that this is not fenced off and therefore may be a hazard for children of a certain age.
Off street parking (under cover) for at least two cars.
Oil fired heating throughout.
Lakeside Cottage guests have the unique opportunity during their stay to fly fish for trout in the two spring-fed private lakes which are not otherwise available to the public. A very small group of Members fish here, and so any fishermen staying at the cottage will very often have the lakes to themselves. The fishing is nymph and dry fly only, and is predominantly catch & release which - combined with the steep banks - makes it not ideal for novices. Cost is £200 per week per Rod. Please see the owner's website for more details of the Cottage and fishing please send all fishing enquiries to: email@example.com
Cranham is a small Cotswold village located approx 2 miles from the stunning village/town of Painswick (on the 'Cotswold Way') where you will find a selection of pubs and shops to enjoy. Cranham has a small pub, but there are many other excellent pubs nearby. Alternatively you may wish to consider many other local places of interest including the Rococo Gardens, Cheltenham Spa town, or the plethora of local villages found in this stunning region of the Cotswolds.
