Chipping Campden, Broadway, Chipping Campden & surrounding area
What a sweet and historic cottage! Kettle Cottage, literally, is a gem of a holiday home tucked down a little cobbled alley off the Chipping Campden High Street. With records dating back many hundreds of years, this archetypal bolt hole was originally where the locals used to come to get their kettles mended, in fact today on the High Street you'll see a huge wall mounted kettle outside the main house! Now, instead of mending kettles, you can walk in under a minute to view an art gallery, enjoy a meal, a coffee or be enjoying a bracing walk on the Cotswold Way. Inside, the cottage is simply but well furnished, compact and ideal for two but able to accommodate four (there are two large bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs*). The rooms upstairs are large and light. It is a lovely little cottage in one of the Cotswolds' most attractive and popular locations.
Entance through cobbled path to cottage at the rear of the main Kettle House.

Chipping Campden is a beautiful historic town filled with charm and character, and rightly considered one of the Cotswolds finest and most attractive villages/towns. The Old Kettle Cottage location down the quiet end of the High Street makes it about a one minute walk away from the antique shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities that cover the location. We've always enjoyed our visits to Campden (as it is often called locally) and with plenty to do in the near vicinity, it's hard not to think of returning after your first visit. In fact Chipping Campden was recently voted the Nicest Village in England! Read more here in our Guide to Chipping Campden.
There are some superb walks literally from your front door, with Dover's Hill a favourite. Depending on the timing of your stay, you might be able to encounter the Olimpik Games, Campden's own, historic version of games - including the infamous World Shin-Kicking Championships!
As well as its own activities and shops, we do recommend you visit Broadway (10 mins by car) and also take in some of the Cotswolds finest villages all near by places such as Snowshill, Stanton, Hicote and Blockley are all well worth visiting - they're beautiful.
Due to its central location in the north Cotswolds, you can enjoy the delights not only of this charming old wool merchants' town, but also the nearby surrounding shire counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.
