Wickhamford, Broadway, Chipping Campden & surrounding area
The Granary, Wickhamford near Broadway, is a smart, modern and very spacious holiday home, very much hidden off the beaten track and yet very convenient for the popular location of Broadway. Up a farm lane, with open fields surrounding you as you approach the barn, you are in Cotswolds countryside! The old building has been beautifully renovated inside, beams and trusses give a nod to a past existence, but today there is a vast and bright living room, an excellent kitchen diner and then a large bedroom suite upstairs - all with cosy underfloor heating across both levels. The owners have really taken care to not only provide for your every whim, but they keep the place absolutely spotless! We found the place to be very welcoming when we visited, loved the location and especially its proximity to Broadway and Stratford upon Avon and all in all this is a great option for a relaxing and refreshing break.

Wickhamford is a small, pretty village located a few miles from Broadway. The Granary is located down a farm tarmac track outside the village. The village itself is a relatively sleepy location with some stunning homes and surrounded by open countryside. Although there is no shop in the village there are some basic shops within a minute's drive. In fact there are some very good organic food stores nearby - this is becuase this area is on the edge of some of England's richest countryside with super fruit and veg stalls everywhere.
About 6 mins drive away is Broadway, one of the Cotswolds most well known and popular locations. Its high street is especially attractive and we'd always recommend visiting, as there are a wide selection of shops, classic pubs and restaurants. From the High Street you can choose to walk to the Broadway Tower, which whilst not too far, is a good challenging walk up hill! You can read more about things to do in Broadway in our Guide here.
Slightly further afield are the bigger towns of Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham both very attractive and both also well worth a visit.. Worcester is similarly 15 miles too, where there is plenty of history for you to enjoy as well as places to eat.
Some of our 'personal favourites' is the pub in Mickleton called The Three Ways House hotel where the famous Pudding Club is held - if you've the appetite then brace yourself. It is held every Friday, when we last checked, this is about 15 mins drive away.
In Broadway the Crown and Trumpet is a solid pub, if simple, but welcoming nonetheless, is about 5 mins away. The Lygon Arms in the centre of Broadway is probably the most famous place for afternoon tea!
If you drive about 10 mins you can be in Chipping Campden another stunning village/small town which we also recommend visiting - it is so pretty and it too has a range of shops, cafes and bric-a-brac worth a journey.
