Blackwell, Broadway, Chipping Campden & surrounding area
Granary Cottage, is a quaint cottage set in the heart of the Northern Cotswolds. Located in the grounds of the owner's historic home on the edge of a traditional village families, walkers or those who simply fancy going absolutely no-where will be equally delighted with this bolt hole. Flanked to the side by a small paddock/orchard which is often the home to small flock of friendly sheep, guests are invited to roam freely while they relax, including the use of the games room with pool table. Situated a convenient distance from Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh both bustling and full of charm and well worth a visit, plus just 20 mins drive from Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon (a cultural treasure trove) you are spoilt for places to pop and see. Inside the cottage is presented immaculately with the living areas particularly appealing. The owners have done very well to retain much of the period nature of the building while adding a wealth of convenient modern touches throughout. In our opinion, this is a very Cotswold holiday experience and well worth a visit.

The Granary is situated in the north of the Cotswolds with easy access to walks in every direction and we are located directly on the Centenary Way walk. With views to Cotswold hills at Ilmington, it is in an area of outstanding beauty, yet within reach of local amenities.
The village of Armscote is about 15 minutes walk away and has a wonderful local pub, The Fox & Goose, with open fires and great food. Stratford-upon-Avon is eight miles away and there are several National Trust properties within a few miles. Shipston-on-Stour, a delightful market town with a wide range of independent shops, and Ilmington, a lovely Cotswold village with the famous Howard Arms pub with great food and atmosphere, are both 2-3 miles away. Chipping Camden, described historically as having Britain's most beautiful village street, is eight miles away.
"Very well located, quiet, clean, well equipped kitchen, fantastic to have an large field the dog could run around safely next to the cottage, free off road parking outside the cottage, located on the flat, considerate and helpful owners."Ms Forknall 2016-10-10
"Initially it took a few goes at trying to find the place from the directions but by elimination we found it. Host made us feel very welcome. The cottage is very charming, clean and quiet. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay and is in a lovely quiet village yet within easy drive to everything in the Cotswolds or Straford on Avon. The cottage is part of a bigger 400 year old property adjacent being the manor house that has been lovingly restored and sympathetically extended although you do not have access to this but you do have access to the grounds. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone trying to get away from the hustle and bustle. Bruce, September 2016"Bruce 2016-09-15
"Our hosts came to say hello after our arrival. There was a delicious cake waiting for us & their kind offer to come for more toys if we needed any made us feel very welcome. The information supplied about local attractions was appreciated as was the effort involved in producing this. We loved the peace & quiet, being able to play in the orchard. The cottage itself had everything we needed and more. The BBQ was a welcome addition on a sunny afternoon. Nothing really to improve upon - it was a great stay. Perhaps having a fan in the bedroom might have been useful on a couple of nights when it was really hot. Thanks again for a brilliant holiday Samantha, Aug 2016"Croom 2016-08-25
