Property Information

Ewen House is set in a traffic-free location within the water garden in Mill Village, built in a traditional Cotswold style. This is the cutest country cottage in one of the most tranquil locations. The property comprises open-plan ground floor living with double doors opening from the dining and sitting area onto an enclosed terrace enjoying views across the water garden. There is a stream running alongside your cottage and beautiful views to the pond with Lillypads and maybe a duck or two on your doorstep! On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite and one with WC and wash basin, as well as two further single bedrooms with pull out beds (suitable for children only), and a family bathroom. There is also a downstairs cloakroom, a utility cupboard housing a washing machine, and a wood-burning stove in the living area. Sleeps six. We love this cute find, what a location!

The property, as you would expect, is very well-equipped and comfortably caters for six guests. We really like this property for families and friends alike, plenty of space to relax and unwind, socialise and sit outside. Naturally and as you would expect, guests have full access to the Spa and Gym as well as the three pools. Ideal for familes and children, it is equally a great location for friends to enjoy a get away.

Bedroom One with a double bed (4ft 6in), wardrobe and balcony. Ensuite Bathroom with WC and washbasin.

Map & Local Information

Lower Mill is one of the prime locations within the Cotswolds and specifically the Cotswold Water Park. It is situated approx five miles outside the historic Roman town of Cirencester (sometimes described as the 'capital of the Cotswolds') and very much in the heart of the Cotswold region, making it an excellent base for exploring the wider Cotswold area. 

The Lower Mill Estate is a private community of architecturally designed homes, all set within a private 500 acre nature reserve, with two Sites of Special Scientific Interest and a host of wildlife and fauna that make it quite unique in this part of the country. The majority of the houses within the nature reserve are used by their owners as weekend/holiday homes. Many of the owners are families with young children or couples who enjoy the peace, the nature and the tranquillity that this location affords. Added to this are the varied outdoor activities available including walking, sailing, fishing, cycling, tennis and swimming to owner-organised community festivals on the August Bank holiday and New Year holidays. 

The few houses that are available for holiday rentals are ideally suited to family gatherings and guests who want to relax in a beautiful home and enjoy the amazing natural outdoor environment and ArtSpa. It is not suited to noisy parties - hen and stag parties are prohibited! As a guest, you are free to enjoy the whole Estate at your leisure. Many people comment that Lower Mill often feels like a time warp back to days when children can run about freely and safely (with the resepct of water of course). You may want to enjoy a peaceful walk around one of the beautiful lakes, fish, and bird watch from one of the hides or sail on one of the lakes. Artspa offers indoor, outdoor (heated) and eco pools, as well as a state of the art gymnasium and an exceptional selection of spa treatments. A small farm shop is situated in Mill Village, offering all of the essentials.

Free access passes to the on-site ArtSpa, a luxury spa with slate lined 20 metre indoor and outdoor heated pools, outdoor plunge eco pool, steam room, sauna, fully equipped gym and treatment rooms for a range of massages and spa beauty sessions.

Lower Mill also has two tennis courts, two children's play areas, 450 acres of private nature reserve with lakeside walks and cycle routes. Wildlife includes over-wintering wildfowl, otters, owls, bats, deer and the first European beavers to be introduced into England.
