Paxford, Broadway, Chipping Campden & surrounding area
Elm View is a delightful cottage situated in quiet and peaceful surroundings yet super-convenient for the ever popular locations of Chipping Campden, Broadway and Stow on the Wold. The house has a wonderfully cosy and homely feeling to it, with a welcoming open fire in the living room and attractive views all round, it has that classic Cotswolds' feel of home, charm and quirkiness all rolled in together. In fact there's no wonder it's homely, the property has been in the same family for generations and whilst there have been improvements, it retains the character and charm that have been there since the year dot!! It is situated on the lane that passes through the heart of village (there is a superb pub a short stroll away - Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor!) and spot on for a break where visiting the surrounding places is part of the plan, or simply a few walks in the countryside are all you have in mind. There is a good sized enclosed garden to the rear/side, plus ample parking and open views to the front - in fact there is a country path about 20 yards from your front door. Very much a 'quintessential Cotswolds' holiday home', we are quite certain you will love this choice and enjoy everything it has to offer, ideal for parties of 4 to 6 people. Very, very comfortable!

Kitchen, lovely oak units and worksurfaces perfectly suited to the house, with a dining table, bench and chairs looking towards the garden. There is an electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, and then in the Utility Room, there is a washing machine, dishwasher and large fridge freezer, plus additional storage space and wash basin.
Living Room, with a view to the front across the lane, with a sofa plus additional seating. open fireplace, large TV with DVD and stereo system.

There is a good sized garden to the side and rear of the house, with a table and chairs. Additionally, there are a few outdoor toys which guests (and children specifically!!!) are welcome to use. There is a good sized parking area too.

Elm View sits in with an uninterrupted view across the fields from the centre of Paxford, another beautiful and attractive village in the heart of the Cotswolds. The village is relatively unspoilt and has many classic cottages and houses; set in the centre is the village pub, The Churchill Arms which has highly recommended to us by the locals for good food and highly recommended according to the reviews on Trip Advisor too!!! The fact that this is about 45 seconds from your front door is a real treat!
Shops both basic and specialised can be found in Chipping Campden which is a few miles away - where you will find all your food requirements can be satisfied. Additionally there are some good restuarants and bars plus a few good art galleries and cafes too. Often seen as one of the most desirable and attractive places to visit, it is certainly one we'd recommend to see. In fact there often unique events and similar going on during the year - including the famous Olympik Games (yes that's not a typo!) where some peculiar events take part in the summer. One such event is the world championship for Shin-Kicking..... and that is exactly as it sounds!
Beyond Chipping Campden are a range of the most popular (and well known) places to visit including Broadway (beautiful traditional village with many places to shop and visit), Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and Burford - all very much worth a visit.
There are many excellent walks in the area, one can be found literally across the road from the house, which will allow you to take in the scenery and outstanding views. It really is one of the best areas of the Cotswolds. If you are of the determined sort, you can walk to one of the Cotswolds' most famous gardens, Hidcote Gardens, which is run by the National Trust, and is about 50 mins walk away. There are many high quality National Trust houses and gardens to visit nearby so depending on your plans, you are spoilt for choice on things to keep you occupied.
An all round excellent location and cottage for a holiday or break
