Bibury, Cirencester & surrounding area
Claypot Cottage, quite simply, is stunning! The listed Cotswold stone cottage has a "quality in tourism gold award" and is nestled in the heart of an attractive village, mid way between Burford and Cirencester and only 2 miles from Bibury home of the National Trust Arlington Row. The cottage is perfectly located for a relaxing break or holiday in the Cotswolds. Designed for comfort, the interior has been refurbished to a supreme standard. Each room has been thoughtfully furnished to represent the Cotswolds with paintings by local artists and fabrics which reflect the surrounding countryside. There is a smart kitchen, two sparkling, contemporary showers and two luxurious bedrooms upstairs. The cottage also offers the benefit of a ground floor bedroom. Although thoroughly modern, Claypot retains bags of character with a big inglenook fireplace ready for a roaring fire, oak beams and a truly charming feel when you walk in. To the rear, is a English Cottage garden, with off street parking for two cars and two seating areas. As if the cottage and its garden isn't enough, you've got one of the best gastro pubs about 40 yards from your front door too! (The Village Pub, Barnsley)

Barnsley is an attractive, classic Cotswolds' village located very much in the heart of region. It is about 15/20 mins south west of Burford and roughly 15 mins to the north of Cirencester. It is very much untouched and retains its charm with many period buildings. It has, however, two large unique and appealing aspects - an excellent local pub called The Village Pub which serves good local food, the second is a highly regarded and luxury Spa at the Barnsley House. Both of these 'treats' are within 100 meters of your front door and well worth considering. For those of any interest, Liz Hurley and pals are regulars at the Village Pub!.
Cirencester is a very attractive market town, thriving and bustling with some artisan and local shops (as well more mainstream brands) and a wide range of restaurants and bars. It leads to the Cotswolds Water Park which is a vast area of lakes where there are endless walks and cycles paths, as well as a wealth of water sports to enjoy (water skiing, sailing, paddle boarding....)
Bibury and Burford are nearby and both very well known - and certain well worth a visit!! Arlington Row in Bibury (5 mins drive) is world famous and amongst the most recognisable locations in the Cotswolds. Burford is simply beautiful and a classic, quaint spot that is always worth a visit.
Beyond the immediate environment are a clutch of places worth considering. Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water are both beautiful and nostalgic, while Daylesford (25 mins drive) is haven for top notch food, gifts and spa too.
"just want to thank you for making this lovely cottage so welcoming for us at very short notice. We are loving the renovations- we are in the process of doing up our house in the US so always looking for ideas. The floors are gorgeous! And you've made use of every nook here!"Mrs Stilwell 2017-03-31
"Stunning cottage, very cosy and beautifully finished throughout. Situated within a lovely village close to Cirencester and the amenities it has to offer and also within easy distance of lots of the other Cotswold destinations."Mrs Smith 2017-03-14
