Brookfield Cottage is an historic joy, an exceptional Cotswolds' masterpiece that is THE perfect choice for families or friends. The owners have been meticulous in their care to create an village escape that offers charm, comfort and character by the bucket load. Tucked down a quiet lane that trundles through the village of Wickhamford where it seems all houses are historic and thatched, Brookfield offers a wonderful home to relax and really get back to basics. Overlooking classic countryside with a view that reaches up to (in the distance) Broadway Tower or just sheep and fields nearby. Step outside and you can choose to enjoy the vast 1/2 acre garden that will keep even the most demanding of children busy. However, it is inside this 400 year old building that we enjoyed especially. It has undergone a gradual and sympathetic range of improvement including a classic oak kitchen with gas range, a large, south facing living / dining room that is flooded with light, while upstairs large, bright bedrooms await with a 'tour de force' luxury bathroom that begs you to relax. And relax you will - in style!
We love it, in fact we adore it! Rarely will you get the chance to be surrounded by beams, oak flooring, and lead windows that are literally as old as the hills. A truly enchanting home where you will 'settle in' within moments of closing the door on arrival.
With Broadway a few miles away, honeystone villages and foodie pubs and charming country estates await your visit! Gorgeous.
